Plush Transformers Released in New Zealand

We broke news in a report in January that there would be Plush Transformers released. We also had the first image of plush Optimus Prime. Now both Sledgehama of Transformersnewzealand.com and Starscream NZ of TFW2005 have confirmed the release of the Optimus Prime plush figure as well as a G1 Bumblebee plush figure. They were found at a Farmers store for $19.95. To see images of both plushies click here.

$20 NZ is generally about 10-12 US although the NZ dollar is unusally strong at the moment making it closer to $14US.

Same reason Optimus Prime is called "Softimus Prime". To appeal to parents that want to buy a stuffed cuddly something for an infant.

These squishie toys are much better than most of the movie figures. Bet they are $20 here too, Hasbro do some of the laziest pricing ever.
Id also expect the toys to cost about US$7.50, as the Australian price is usually double and a bit the American price.
