So does this mean inferno isn't happening? What about project storm? Seems odd to leave those things out and save them for SDCC when they'll most likely be focusing on War for Cybertron.
Whoa there, slow down those pessimistic thoughts!
First of, Inferno is still happening in Wave 3, (early) Summer. Secondly, we still have a Wave or 2 in all Classes that's unknown to us (the possible Wave 5 would be a tight squeeze, unless the WFC Trilogy is scooted up a Wave or if's released side-by-side. We can hope!). Finally, we haven't even hit Spring, let alone the half-year mark.
Project Storm is nothing more but the Authentics, as explained before.

War for Cybertron starts in January of 2019, there are typically 4 waves in a year and Novastar is the only new figure in wave 4 as shown in the original leaks. There's no reason to believe that any new figures have yet to be revealed for potp besides exclusives.

Which could just mean that there are no other classes in wave 4. Much like wave 6 of Titans return.

He's mistransformed. On closeup you can see attachement points on and for the arm shields. Also on the gray models we got some month ago we can see the arm shiels monted on shoulders oon robot mode.
He's mistransformed on all his forms in fact. The legs of the gorilla are supposed to retract, and not sitting like an old He-Man figure.
Same for the backpack head, too hard to rotate at the show ?

The original leaks only showed us Wave 4 for deluxes. We didnt see wave 4 for the other classes so we do not know if the waves of other classes will have new figures or just be repacks.

Thanks for all the info. I especially like the bit about the retractable legs, that means all his limbs need some form of change from one mode to the next, and that does make it a plus over the original.

THIS is why the preadcons (and ergo Pradaking) should NEVER have been used as a Titan class figure.

I think we're ALL getting a little ahead of ourselves. To my knowledge, no official source has ever said that Wave 4 will be the last of the Power of the Primes. In fact, I would say that there is no reason to believe that Novastar is the only Wave 4 figure.
We KNOW that we have to get ALL of the Prime Masters, right? Even IF Onyx ONLY comes with Predaking, (which would be unfortunate, but I can NOW see that happening) that STILL leaves four more Prime Masters. That leaves AT LEAST one more wave of Prime Masters.
Given that everything that is "officially" revealed was in that Big Leak (which didn't specify waves for Deluxes) I think they're just playing catch-up. Hasbro tries to reveal-things-without-revealing-things all the time. But, given the fallout after the PotP leak, they clearly did not intend for this leak to happen.
I think there is still a decent amount of PotPs ahead of us. Not ENOUGH, mind you... I think it probably will fizzle out the same way that Titans Return did... :/
I HAD a theory that between exclusives and box sets, we would get special editions of all Prime Masters (the likes of Blast Off) without Pretender Shells. Less confident about that, now.
But, I could be wrong. I just think we should all chill out for a sec.

Ripper snapper though, awesome remold of darkwing seemingly. In robot mode his tail tucks away and becomes heel spurs. The faux rubsign on his alt mode head is actually pretty cool in person. Limb modes were fun and easy, and I can't wait to find Hun-Grr to pair up with him. Alt mode was everything I dreamed of when I heard Abominus was coming, a hunched over.shark monster. A very good update on a figure I owned and loved. Only thing to try and.watch out for, my R.S. has some mold flash on the shoulders and a spot of red paint on his elbows ball joint. It maybe hard to catch as it's the back of my shoulders, and maybe a poor QC issue that won't really crop up too often.

if they didnt do it that way with predakings upper legs attached to the lower legs razerclaw would end up being a leader class size but i still think predaking is going to be a bit shorter than devastator for being a titan class

A tentacle whip-like weapon, kinda like the Cat o' nine tails maybe? Better keep the girls away from it.

That weapon piece is more for decoration of the Shell anyway. Can't have an Octopunch without tentacles in some shape or form, right?

Cyberverse has nothing to do with Generations. The Prime Wars Trilogy will be succeeded by the War for Cybertron Trilogy (no relation to the video games of the same name, aside from sharing the same concept of "pre-Earth Cybertronian forms").Skritz wrote:So is the successor to PotP a Generations subline or is it just Cyberverse from here on?

Well, I'll be cautiously optimistic on the basis that I 1) like futuristic/alien alt modes and B) because I started collecting around Titans Return, my main lineup of Autobots are retro futuristic vehicles anyway, being the classic Headmasters and the Jumpstarters. With any luck, there will be some decent Cybertronian mode Decepticons to go along with them.
My gut tell me this will be '84 cast all over again but with any luck there might be good take on characters I don't already have. Could use a Shockwave and Soundwave in my collection, for one thing.

This proves to me how harmful bullshit speculative articles like this one from Tformers can be https://tformers.com/till-all-are-one-i ... /news.html
After Hasbro was clear as can be as to the future of the generations toyline, people are still confused. And all because of some unfounded and really illogical rumour. It was further propogated by a TFW article which also hinted that cyberverse/evergreen designs might take over.
I feel like writing a quick editorial just to clarify things, now that we have the right info, but I fear other sites would see it as me bashing them when all I want to do is course correct the crap they started.
Personally, the next generation line wont be anything really different than what we have gotten. It will just be modern interpretations of old characters. TR Astrotain, for instance, could easily have been something for that line since all we know is that alt modes wont be specifically of the realistic variety. And really, looking at POTP, how many are? Leader Optimus, the two deluxe jets and starscream. The rest could have easil been in a line like what is coming after.
___________________________
Ok so about Predaking, I know that the back of the robot modes for the legs look like eye sores and I also think it doesnt look good. But I know why its there. Is so that Steeljaw isnt bigger than the rest. I have the KO Feral Rex and the alt modes are not great, at all. Especially the Steeljaw component which looks completely out of wack in the proportions department. Plus, the combined mode ends up loooking hunched over all the time and a little stumpy since there isnt much leg before the knee. This predaking looks the best out of all of them so far (including G1) and thats due to the better proportioned legs, which of course give this crappy consequence.
In the end, I guess 2 predakings are needed in a collection, this new one and the G1 version to see the potential of the designs. Those G1 animal alt modes are still the best out there.

CW had plenty of unused head molds (that got used by the likes of TakaraTomy and the Club), so that's nothing new really. A full Wave 4 is still possible, only to get us a Waverider to complete the Autobot Pretender roster.

Hasbro rarely says definitive things unless its to say "NO", and with them clearly stating that it ends in 2018, their schedule, then I would find it very hard to believe that there are more than 4 waves. So that answers one of your question.
BUT
That doesnt mean we wont see those molds. As we have seen in every line of this trilogy so far, they will make box sets. I totally see a monstructor/dinoking boxset happening. Those would always have been too niche to be part of a wave anyways, so I would never have seen them as anything else than a box set type thing.
So you are not in denial, there are plenty of opportunities for us to see these molds, it just wont be wave 5 of POTP (which doesnt exist).
