Notice that the voting starts in January and the reveal is in February. Logically, this means that all of these figures' developments will be completed by that time, which means one of two things:
1. Out of the nine figure designs, only one will see the light of day.
2. The voting is rigged, and only the "winner" is being designed.

Honestly there isn't really a good way to tell if they're rigged or not. Rigged or not, this is a very odd selection of characters, and even odder that there's really not much context to them. Like I'm not even sure where to begin on how odd this cast is from both a toys and comics perspective.

Hmm, first Takara makes an brand new mold of Optimus Primal, and now he's one of the possible choices to receive a new Hasbro figure? Yeah,the voting's TOTALLY not rigged...

If we assume this goes off of IDW characterizations:
Honor - Hound, Arcee, Primal
Order - Magnus, Megatron, Shockwave
Chaos - Star Saber, Thunderwing, Deathsaurus(?)

Takara does not do the same things as Hasbro it's not god damned rigged and nobody in the right state of mind should be thinking it is it's a damn toyline why would anyone waste time rigging some stupid online contest?
Also he has never been part of IDW but if he wins this (which I hope to god it does not so it doesn't ruin him) he probably would be introduced.

Takara does not do the same things as Hasbro it's not god damned rigged and nobody in the right state of mind should be thinking it is it's a damn toyline why would anyone waste time rigging some stupid online contest?

He never was. But neither was Windblade or Victorion.
If he wins, and IDW has to advertise that, they'll just add him. I wouldn't mind seeing more BW characters in the series honestly

Meanwhile, Takara made a new MP Star Saber two years ago that, like MP Primal, Hasbro has thus far ignored. And Hasbro is making a new mold Black Shadow toy, whose original 1989 toy was a retool of Thunderwing. And Deathsaurus is already one of the rumors for Titans Return. If most of these characters win this it would their characters outside of Ultra Magnus and Star saber none of these contenders make any darn sense to become Prime
AND WHY ARE THEIR DECEPTICONS ON THIS LIST?
Their have been bad Primes in the past yes but there has never and I mean never been a Decepticon Prime besides Nemesis which in most cases is not a true prime and is just a clone of Optimus.
There is nothing stopping the Prime from becoming one later but don't anyone think that someone who has been a Decepticon since forever suddenly becoming a Prime is a bit absurd even if they become good suddenly and out of the blue?
"I always wanted Shockwave to become a Prime since I was a kid because we all know it was an important and frequently brought up part of his character it only makes so much sense guys he is of course the perfect contender it's so logical!"

Swap Deathsaurus with Arcee, and you've got IDW. Deathsaurus is shown to have a very high sense of honor, whereas Arcee is very much a "killing for fun" kind of lady. Hound deserves it. He was rejected as a kid appeal character, and that makes me sad. I'd dare to say that he has one of the purest hearts among the Autobots, and I'd like to see a Prime who fights with compassion and wisdom.

Apparently you're under some unprecendented impression that the Prime rank of IDW is some kind of Autobot-exclusive title and not instead a title that refer to Cybertron as a whole. The war is long over. The old military factions have no need anymore. Hound has the personality and stats of a true Prime like no one else on this list it would be a disservice for us to ignore that it would be a case of one of the average guys becomes another great leader like Optimus (Orion) and Rodimus (Hot Rod) and not this stupid leader becomes another leader.
