Im so lucky I got mine. I was browising the net for 2 minutes on the way to work. I ended up being 30 mins late to work so I can stop and order one. Smart phones are a wonderful thing.

If you are serious about trying, BBTS had Arms Microns on clearence for a pittance. Throw one in a POL and practice on. Paints can be gotten from Walmarts or Meijers for $0.47-$1 and cheap but decent brushes arent either.

Damn, that looks pretty good. It's also reminding me of my unfortunate last session in the airbrush booth with my Skydive to Starscream conversion. (Nothing irreversible, but note to self and any fellow customizers: Invest in actual airbrush paint rather than trying to thin down Citadel.)
Anyway, GROTUSQUE WOOOOOOO. I've always wanted Grotusque to get an update, out of all the Monsterbots he gets the least love, which is a shame when he's a goddamn giant winged naked mole rat monster. I want him, but I can't get him right now. Oh well, some day.

According to the Tracking number, my Grotusque is in Mississippi right now. Forgetting about my action figure for a minute, I hope everyone there stays safe with Hurricane Nate getting ready to make landfall later on tonight.

I can confirm that the Clone sets was available at an EB games stores nearby in Montreal. I called a few of them and not all had them in stock. The one where I purchased my set had only received three and there was no indication of restock any time soon. I was happy to get them...until I remembered I had already preordered the Takara version of the twins somewhere

Looks like in the drawing his beast mode shoulders are oriented in the way that the actual toy's robot shoulders are.

If they ain't giving me Titan Scorponok, I may have to hunt G1.....I just love his original incarnation.

I'm rather surprised TRU still has Arcee available for pre-order. That's promising for Grotusque if he does turn out to be a TRU exclusive (TFWiki says he is, but I don't know where they got that info from). But then again this is our first Grotusque since the original while we have options for Arcee and there are likely those that prefer the Generations version or aren't willing to buy her a second time.
Grotusque has consistently been at the top of my G1 remake list. I have an original that's in rough shape I've had since I was a kid and have always wanted to see a modern figure of him. My one complaint is it seems like they weren't able to incorporate his (mistransformed yet cool) four legged winged cat mode into the figure, but at least they were able to make a fantastic looking upright mode. He's one figure that I will happily pay double for on eBay if I can't get one from the retailer.

I'm really hoping that TRU or wherever the figure is exclusive to gets him in stock soon. Next month's my birthday and he would definitely be at the top of my list.

You could make it out of this mold. That way they all have some relation as a team. Use the lower half and same engineering as grotesque. New arms(not 100% necessary) new bug head and front torso. Close enough. But if it happens which it probably won’t because we got a Repugnus and this gimmick is over. I got all three monsterbots now I’m good. I’m happy with what we get.

Dunno; my advice would be: look everywhere in the coming months. The clone two-pack showed up at eb there with no warning or announcement, so clearly they'll make their way there just like every other exclusive.
