Springer is not a leader, sorry, that level of retooling should've kept him at a voyager, and those accessories are not enough for a leader.
In other news, I do really enjoy Sunstreaker

Anyways, ramble over. Cool figure. Nuff said.

Agreed. Just comparatively, all those accessories alone wouldn't match the material used for Siege Astrotrain's tender, and that's also not factoring in that Astrotrain came with 5 weapons.

This could also be compared to the SS86 Throne Starscream, but at least his accessories were quite large.

The throne and cape both occupied a fair amount of space, so those accessories were somewhat worth the price, even if they clearly were not highly desired

SS86 Starscream
SS86 Springer
Legacy leader Soundwave
All of these are voyagers with an accessory pack sold as "leaders."
Love it or gate it, the trend seems to stay.
So, which voyager will be "leaderified" next?

This is probably closer to how they justified making Hot Rod a Voyager, but upping the parts count and adding a bunch of individual accessories. Even though they seemed to just be updating parts 1:1, they actually added more function to the new ones. The hands are now two parts and the, the wheels are now pinned to his arms instead of popped onto his shoulders, and his backpack is now at least 3 chunky parts instead of one. That's just the obvious stuff.

I think this is a much better update than just putting new hands on Starscream and a throne (the same throne that didn't really affect the price when included with the Nemesis Brdige three pack).

You forgot the cape and crown, accessories that are basically a downscale from MP-11, plus the extra null rays that came with it. They could have charged the leader price just for those, but they overkilled it with the throne.

That whole scene in the movie was actually really cool and very memorable, but none of that was captured in that figure release.
On top of that, imo it was a horrible use of a leader class slot, and annoyed me even more since I'm such a fan of this subline.
I am very happy with this new Springer, even just for the figure itself.
The accessories are fine, but didn't really do anything to sway me or up my excitement. Now, I can agree that this doesn't seem worthy of $55+. But I do like this character a lot, and this version is improved enough, especially making him taller; he's supposed to be as big as Optimus.
The price is also probably easier for me to digest since so far I'm skipping everything from Legacy except Gears. Yeah, I'm assuming I'll get Legacy Soundwave, partially because of the cassettes. But still...
My main purchases will be Swoop, Springer, CC OP, Blaster, and Bee. Steeljaw will be a little icing.

You should have said something, people have been asking about that for a while now since it hasn't been officially announced by Hasbro yet (just Takara Tomy). Even the other news sights seem to have just noticed.

My Initial thought would have been Reactivate, but with the recent news that they don’t plan on doing anything from Reactivate this year and the fact that the listing hasn’t disappeared like Reactivate Lifeline, makes me think that it isn’t Reactivate.
Now, they’ll often use descriptors like “Next Gen” to differentiate between two Bumblebee designs from the same movie, like Clunker Bumblebee for the 2007 movie or Offroad Bumblebee for the Jeep design from BB. I think “Next Gen” is a good descriptor for AOE Concept Camaro Bumblebee, used to differentiate it from the High Octane design for Bumblebee from the same movie. It’d be cool if we got something for AOE’s 10th!
I’m certainly not getting my hopes up considering how the line has been the last few years, but I’d love if this next gen Bee was the AOE concept Camaro design!

While I didn't get to see the movie right away, I remember having a LOT of fun in the hype buildup for the movie. I was at ToysRUs the day the figures officially released to get deluxe Bumblebee, and I was actually at the Air and Space museum shortly before the movie came out, not realizing it had been filmed there! While I could do without some of the cruder bits, I really love the movie and it gave us some of the best designs and action sequences of the franchise!
Here's a couple of my custom Studio Series projects from ROTF! I'm working on more; Grindor, Rampage, and an update to my Elita-1 were in progress when I left and I'll be picking them back up soon!
Hope we can see some more Studio Series ROTF figures in the future, I'd definitely like to see a Demolishor!

Your work is always superb. And while I don't like Revenge of the Fallen as a movie for various reasons, it does have some excelent action scenes and features some of the best and most imaginative Transformers designs ever. The Constructicons, satellite Soundwave, the bike sisters and Jolt are among my top favourite designs of all time.

This isn't the G1 cartoon. The WFC and FOC video games reserved jet modes strictly for Seekers and Aerialbots only. This isn't the only exclusive being offered. For those spending $800HKD ($102USD) they have "Transformers 40th Anniversary Commemorative Poker Cards" limited to 280 at the Expo (global number wasn't given). For those spending $500HKD ($64USD) they're giving out 280 40th Anniversary collectable coins which appear to be limited 5,000 globally. And while it doesn't appear to be exclusive, 500 sets of BotBots are being given to those that spend $300HKD ($38USD).
No word on where else these will be made available around the world, but we do have San Diego Comic Con THIS WEEKEND (Hasbro Fans Expo will be offering SDCC exclusives) so who knows? When we do we'll be sure to let everyone know and you can talk about it in the Seibertron Energon Pub forums!

Not a doubt in my mind, especially since it isn't limited to just Transformers purchases. A person can spend a ton of money on Marvel and Star Wars with no interest in Transformers and get one.

It would be difficult for them to remove one single accessory from that mold, better to just rework it in to the existing sprues.

ROTF Multipack revealed at SDCC, featuring SS-32 Optimus Prime, Jetfire, and (strangely) Arcee, Chromia, and Elita-1. Turns out there was only one deluxe instead of the rumored two. All figures appear to be unchanged except for SS-32, who has Energon swords instead of the blaster.

Also, It's kinda funny, this pack has all the bots who died in RotF. So it is in a way a bit of a corpse pack itself.
BTW, a Sentinel pick for fun

The Studio Series September unofficial fan tournament is BACK for its third year!
This fan-run tournament was started in 2022 to take a look at our substantial roster of remaining live action characters in Studio Series and have fun talking about the ones we’d most like to see in the future! Our first tournament focused on our on-screen cast, while 2023’s season focused on concept art and characters from other screens, which ended up timing nicely with the recent additions of concept art and gamer edition in the Studio Series line! If this is your first time with the tournament, here's a look at how those first 2 years went:
This fan-run tournament was started in 2022 to take a look at our substantial roster of remaining live action characters in Studio Series and have fun talking about the ones we’d most like to see in the future! Our first tournament focused on our on-screen cast, while 2023’s season focused on concept art and characters from other screens, which ended up timing nicely with the recent additions of concept art and gamer edition in the Studio Series line!
This year we’ll be returning to a look at our on-screen characters, so only characters who appeared on screen in the live action films! To get our bracket together we need your lists of top 10 characters you’d like to see in Studio Series! To post your lists, here’s your ground rules:
RULES FOR TOP 10 LISTS
1. Live-action characters only for this list, including the 5 Michael Bay films plus Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts
2. Only characters who appeared on screen in robot mode in the actual films count for this bracket (Characters like ROTF Breakaway, ROTB Transit, DOTM Warpath, etc. are out)
3. Leaked/listed future figures are fair game! As we’ve learned, listings don’t always pan out so we’d like to show support for these characters all the way up to release! If a character on the top 16 is pipelined or revealed during the tournament, they will be removed from the bracket.
4. Redos of existing characters/designs in Studio Series will not count EXCEPT for characters who received a rerelease of an older figure instead of a new one (E.g High Octane and TLK Bumblebees, TLK Drift)
5. Remember to please be courteous and respectful in your discussion. This is just for fun!
As an example to get things rolling, here's my top 10!
1. Que (DOTM)
2. Hound (AOE)
3. High Octane Bumblebee
4. Bumblebee (AOE, Concept Camaro)
5. Hatchet (DOTM)
6. Devcon (DOTM)
7. Optimus Prime (TLK)
8. Optimus Prime (Evasion Mode)

Speaking of SS TF:one Prime, he is pretty good. He is a nice sized deluxe, but I do not like the way the crotch works, and I wish he had some forwar/backwards play in his ankles. But otherwise, pretty solid and pretty fun.

Since I ended up with 2 Grindors to make the final project that also means I had 2 Ravages, so I did one in movie colors and another in his ROTF Recon Ravage deco!

Maybe as a final touch, do like the KO oversized Weijiang did and make a copter underbelly that can "transform" into some landscape for Ravage to prowl in? That would be quite the challenge I guess.

One thing is sure for an underbelly part for the SS leader Blackout or Grindor, it would partsform. But what the thing will do is up to you.
Still, I find the landscape idea to be genius.
