Fellow Seibertronian ScottyP gave us a tip on a potential San Diego Comi Con 2016 Transformers / G.I. Joe crossover set reported by GeneralJoes.com. The set would include a Rattler repainted as Powerglide with Scarlet and Soundwave as a H.I.S.S. Tank with Zartan. Images are from ACToys.net.

How is it a rumor when there are pictures of the physical toys, and SDCC has released sets like this three times in the past?

I doubt it is fake but it could be some people have made some really professional looking customs in the past alongside fake package art and packaging.

Yeah, I've seen that before. I've also seen a few years' worth of G.I. Joe/Transformers SDCC exclusive sets, in fact, enough to believe that the appearance of another one is a bit more than a rumor of there being another SDCC G.I. Joe/Transformers exclusive set.

I'm OK with Transformers figures that don't turn into vehicles, but Transformers that don't turn into robots, or worse, turn into vehicles to cart around G.I. Joes, is entirely lost on me. I would be perfectly fine with a line of Transformers that came with tiny Titan Master size Joes to ride in them. Scale would be a lot of fun. Sure we got Snowcat and Viper, but let's go all in already!

The thing is, these aren't designed as "Transformers that don't turn into robots". They're G.I.Joe vehicles repainted to homage Transformers characters. They're not the same as something like the RPM line.

Hm, and here I thought the last one was billed as "the final chapter"...

I have no love for Joes, but these crossover sets have all been nifty. I'll get this if it makes it to HTS after the show.

It's a shame that this version of the HISS Tank, along with the original Mk II, don't get more love from Hasbro, as they're the only versions that have actual interior troop transport capability.

And given that Combiner Wars Powerglide was redecoed into a figure inspired by the Rattler, it's only appropriate that a Rattler gets redecoed into Powerglide.

If they do continue this series, I say we should get an AWE Striker redecoed as Beachcomber, or maybe Sandstorm.

Through endorsement via the official Hasbro Twitter account, UPROXX has confirmed what were expecting for San Diego Comic Con 2016 in terms of the Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover exclusive set! Official stock images are included below, showing the G.I. Joe characters Scarlett and Zartan (from Cobra), and their respective TF-decoed/inspired counterparts Powerglide aircraft and Soundwave-esque HISS Tank, obviously non-transforming. Check them out!

I really like the Powerglide Rattler. Perfect! I'm not really digging Soundwave HISS though. Did he become a HISS like that in the comics? I'm kind of surprised that they went with another HISS Tank after already doing Shockwave.
