"As of today, "Toys r' Us USA" has made a deal with "Toys r' Us Canada" to become one corporation, known as "Toys r' Us North America". Will this result in Canada getting exclusives that you can now only find in the USA?"

I wonder, if this happened, perhaps it would result in prices which more closely match the current US/CDN exchange rate? Figures here are disgustingly overpriced if you actually go and figure out the conversion.

About time. Hopefully this will mean quicker updates in stocks and waves at the stores, not to mention any exclusives that US TRUs have been hording.

I couldn't think of anything else. It was just such a G1 thing for someone to yell. I'd like to think the chairman of TRU actually shouted something similar. TRU Canada gets nothing available in Japan, we just get most of the US stuff.

That's good news! Our selection of Transformers here is pretty good but I'd like to see more G.I. Joe stuff, it's almost nil.

I hope the merger goes through.
On the one hand, Canadians might get better treatment.
On the other hand, if it's all one conglomerate, the Canadians and Americans will get new figures first. (Canada sometimes gets new figures before America sees them)
Plus special exclusives, etc.

Where is the source? They have no mention of where the original poster got it from.I was pretty certain that both TRU's ARE part of the same conglomeration, but simply different branches.
