Ryalltime- IDW honcho Chris Ryall updated his blog yesterday with cover art from the upcoming Transformers Spotlights Metroplex, and Cliffjumper.

"We've got a new crop of TRANSFORMERS SPOTLIGHTS coming up. Specifics will be forthcoming, but for now, covers, we got covers. First is a wraparound image for METROPLEX from Marcelo Matere (you can't possibly do justice to Metroplex with just a front cover). The issue's being written by Andy Schmidt."

Throttlebots and Sixshot too!

I think Sixshot may have met his match, unless Metroplex has some Death Star like hole, and Sixshot makes a trench run...

awesome! I love Metroplex. I fantasized about getting him from summer till Christmas of 1986. Him and Sky Lynx. I got them too. That was an unforgettable memory. The art looks great. He deserves a wrap around cover.

Cliffjumper looks great too. Someone stole him from me in 1984. Casey Kasem's voice always made me think of his TV show Casey Kasem's top 40.

ok i can see sixhsot and the throttlebots in spotlight metroplex (wonder how they'll handle goldbug?) but who are the cons in the cliffjumper cover? they look vaguely like armada style seekers...

*edit: is it the micromaster air strike patrol maybe?

I got the Armada/Energon vibe from those guys on Cliffjumper's cover as well. One guy really reminds me of Dreadwing.

Be cool if we started getting characters from other series in G1.

Mteroplex has a fantastic cover, hope the interior matches the quality of the cover.

Cliffjumper being written by McCarthy does not impress me, a 17th issue of the 12 part AHM series... At the moment I am undecided ong ettign it, and it may well end up my first skipped spotlight.
