as a figure it looks ok but as soundwave it sucks and since the price point for these guys is stupid im going to have to pass on this one. Only way id buy this thing is if there was a little button that made it talk like & it had the voice effect.

Loving this, I have to say that Soundwaves vehicle mode is growing on me. At first when I heard he was gonna be a car I wasn't sure what I thought of him, and thanks to the loss of an internet connection at home I had been spared from teaser images, concept art, and spoilers since February. So the first look I got of him in robot mode was when I went to the theater, and I loved the way he looked. So yeah, quickly grew on me, even though I was hoping that the car thing was only a rumor and that he ended up being a jet, I like his car form.
Also: it would be awesome if his HA figure had a cavity in his chest where you could put HA Frenzy.
Also: Also: Did anyone else notice that, in the movie, when Soundwave spoke the speakers on his arms/chest/shoulders would vibrate?

Another DOTM purchase must! Not for Sounwave mind you, although I liked seeing more of him in this movie, but for the car. I inherited an enthusiasm for Merc's from my Dad. Awesome car, and it's a Transformer, DOUBLE WIN!

I think his legs look pretty weird, but he's kinda cool. I'll just get the deluxe though, since I don't collect HAs. I'm glad he made it to HA class though, a lot of people have been wanting this.

You know, I never noticed this before, but his robot mode strongly resembles Barricade. I only notice now that I'm not distracted by other awesome stuff on the screen.
