Ok....i just watched the SDCC vids....& a couple of things

1)i deffo want that Sharkticon(Gnaw) although? thought there may have been an Allicon too :-?

, also, strange no TM figs with them :-?

, like with Bee ect

2)liking the look of Sentinel Prime's mold repainted as Astrotrain! although still prefer to wait for the HasTak one

3)at first when the camera panned over to the F15 style looking jet....i thought we were getting Starscream! then....i realize it's Megs himself! although his jet mode & colours deffo look like Starscream, & he has a tank mode too! So....do you think they too inspiration from Cloud Starscream then :-?

& finally.....Windblade....wait....whaa :shock:

....Windblade in the TR line? isn't she in that Machinima Combiner Wars series that's coming out? so is she CW? or TR? in fact she seems to be all 3! coz she's in RID as well.

One thing....i was a bit miffed that they didn't have Super Ginrai(PMOP with Godbomber) on display there(YES i know....it's not there coz it's not an official Hasbro product....well....at least not without Takara modifications! but....wouldn't there be some 3P prototypes on display at SDCC anyway?).

We've known about that Windblade since BotCon! It's a part of this year's SDCC exclusive figure set! Also, we still have no idea if there will even be a Godbomber. I kinda hope there will be one, though.

Have you forgotton about Blitzwing? The most famous tank/jet/robot Transformer? Megatron is obviously a precursor to Blitzwing coming from that mold.

You are greatly confused. "Super Ginrai" is not the name of any configuration with Godbomber. "God Ginrai" is super Ginrai combined with Godbomber. Takara's Super Ginrai is just a retool of Hasbro's Powermaster Optimus Prime with no Godbomber added.

And, no, of course Takara's Super Ginrai wouldn't be there. The figure was only just revealed in Japanese a magazine two days ago, and Takara doesn't go to San Diego Comic-Con, as they don't do toy reveals at events in the United States.

And, no, 3rd parties don't go showing off their new products at San Diego Comic-Con either. They are unofficial illegal entities who steal inspiration for their designs from official venues.

alpha trion's robot mode looks even more beautiful. that molded detail on his chest... mmm~
taking another look at Clobber's bird thing yeah I'm buying it to make it Wingthing. It fits too well.

Bumblebee's proportions look a bit better in person; the render made them look... really weird. Kinda hate Hasbro's renders tbh

Talking of things that look better in person... Megatron looks delicious now. Not as bad as I thought. Foil stickers are still terrible mind. Glad to see he doesn't have a faction symbol on him out of the box, he's getting a big damn autobot face the minute I buy him

Well firstly....Megs jet mode looks more Starscream than it does Blitzwing! in fact....i'd go as far to say that his jet & tank mode look more like Cloud Starscream's(YES i know the Generations mold was also used for Blitzwing and Doubledealer)

2nd....ok....you are correct....i obviously got my events mixed up! as it's at TFcon that they show 3rd party stuff.

& you are correct again.....with the Super Ginrai thing, although i'm still holding out hope(as are others) for a God Ginrai too

That jet's going to look weird with Blitzwing's chest, that is, with the air intakes and back of the cockpit immediately behind the air intakes and back of the cockpit...

I'm going to buy the hell out of this Megatron. I know there is a lot of grey plastic, but what did you expect? Plus I love the WWI style tank barrel (still going to use the fusion cannon for the barrel, but I've got a weakness for stuff like that)

Bumblebee looks fantastic, I'm hoping we get a Wasp and a Glyph out of him...

Gnaw...rarely do I ever want to troopbuild a figure...but I want to with him.

Sawback *cough* Lione *cough* is kinda cool, but I feel it is an unnecessary figure. I mean, I love little recognized characters and all, but did we really need/want this guy? Unless they do a giftset with Kirk, Rodney, Loafer, Toraizer, and Shuffler, totally going to skip this dude.

Brainstorm, I'm going to just buy the SDCC version, I like the color better, even if there is less paint.

Overboard AKA Overkill is cool, but I wish his headmaster was a repaint of Clobber/Grimlock.

Dezarus: Damn, they couldn't have done more remolding...Oh well, I'll live. Plus, he's more of a fuzor between Leozack and Jallguar then Deathsaurus.
Guyhawk: Very pink, but very good!
Fellbat: Wish he had new bat inspired wings, but oh well, fantastic looking
Ironbison: Not the biggest fan of the mold, but it'll do.
Drillhorn: See Ironbison
Iron Scythe: Well that's a poor excuse for a release, and why is he not PINK?!

Biggest issue with the set, outside of the torso, it needs more arms microns to act as Breastmasters. If this set had Gul in pink (Guyhawk), Zamu in grey (Drillhorn), Hades in white (Fellbat, even though he'd be huge), Balo in grey (Ironbison), and a white and a turquoise Jida (Jallguar and Leozack). Also a green version of Gob (Deathcobra).

It's not confirmed, but is most likely. There is a hinge on the windscreen that most likely is for that purpose.

Also; replying to Madeus; I too think it would be awesome to for once get a Glyph retool. I can't remember the last time we actually had an official Glyph besides the G1 toy.

now i wonder who Broadside's gonna be merged with :-?

As i stated before....the thrilling 30 generations mold was used for Blitzwing AND Cloud Starscream! now....there's nothing confirmed nor concrete....but i could see this current Megatron mold(with the obvious retooling) being used for Starscream sometime in the near future(the upside to this...if it ever did happen...that any people who missed out on Cloud Starscream....which wasn't released by Hasbro....could always get this one....which would not be too much unlike Cloud Starscream...and this one WOULD be released by Hasbro).

Actually, Megatron's chest in jet mode is in the same placement as g1 Blitzwing's chest, which means... EXTRA ACCURACY! G1 Blitzwing didn't have a cockpit on his chest, so how would it look weird in jet mode? I don't get that point.

Also, G1 Blitzwing had more of a boxy head. That means, while the titanmaster gimmick may've made some of the characters like Astrotrain and Scourge have innacurate boxiness to their heads, Blitz would look just right!

Skullshamsher doesnt have the same issues in his takara release:

Doesn't have any problem standing. He has fairly tight joints. The cockpit is that same soft plastic as the Hasbro version.

The G1 toy didn't really have a cockpit or anything there.

It was just a slightly raised cylinder on his chest with some random robot stickers.

THIS is what is 'supposed to' make Blitzwing's chest:

The raised cylinder is the back of the cockpit. Obviously Megatron doesn't use that for his chest, but rather the section immediately behind it, meaning the inevitable Blitzwing retool will that section of jet twice in a row:
