Im still trying to get why they couldnt have made this a transforming mold ? Hollowout the legs so they fold in, flip the arms up, rotate the cannons, tail flips out from behind, remove the head, and a scorpion head attaches in its place. How hard could it be ? I can understand no city mode, but no scorpion mode is plain stupid.

Yeah, it's not that their incapable of making these transform into Scorpion Modes. It's the bureaucracy on of it all that legally prohibits them from doing so.

Oh if it only transformed... For around $500 you get a gigantic poseable figure that looks cool but does not transform.

Useless. 2x the price of Fortmax and won't transform......hard core if you've got the dough but aren't they "Transformers"

Its stuff like this that spawned the existance of 3rd parties in the first place. I could easily see an up and coming company buy one just to reverse mold it and retool it to transform...
And they'll sell it like 200 bucks less and ill buy one.

There's also the possibility that maybe they just didn't want to make it transform, instead wanting to make a giant articulated action figure, one that's never been done before.

True, but those figures are going to take up alot of real estate in warehouses if they didnt read the fans correctly. BBTS changed their system so you cant tell how many of one item they have in stock. But when you could, I remember a lot of items over $500 they would only keep 10 or less in stock. I dont see the retailers taking risk with this in great numbers. Just my opinion.

Well, folks, all I can say is, if both were vastly more affordable than they are now, I'd buy both in a heartbeat. the price is the only thing keeping me from going after either of them.

i dont have the scorn for non transforming transformers that most have. and he does look awesome. amazingly awesome.
BUT.
five hundred bucks? seriously? hes the same size as fort max and generations metroplex, they transform, and cost half that. and im betting when those two 3rd party scorponoks hit the market, these things will be even more redundant.

If they were HALF that price, then maybe. But these things have nothing to offer me. There's little justification I'll accept for them being ginormous Action Masters.
