Stock Images of Velocitron Hot Rod, Crasher and Shadowstrip

I'm not impressed with this Hot Rod repaint.

Like I need another Hot rod. I've got the window package windowless package, basic hot rod with sword, mega rodimus.

Anyone else notice that Crasher's box art is based on the Siege Mirage mold while the figure is based on the Earthrise version?




That's going to annoy the people that prefer the Siege mold.

I may be in the minority here, I actually like this Hot Rod repaint more than the original, I like the shades of red and orange they've used a lot more, and I probably will swap out my Studio Series Hot Rod for this one. Shadowstrip and Crasher look nice as well, but I'm not interested enough in G2 or Go-Bots to buy either of them. I do wonder if they'll go the whole hog with G2 Stunticons though, that recently leaked "Robo WLD RDR" product listing makes me think they will (as much as it would be cool and everything, I really don't think that product listing is X-Brawn with his Japanese name Wildride like some have speculated). They could always stick G2 Motormaster in the Shattered Glass line if there's no room for a Commander in Veloctrion Speedia 500.

For me, one use of the SS86 Hot Rod mold is enough since I still find the TR mold more fun to play with overall. Shadowstrip is the one I'm most interested in, since I'm a sucker for G2.

Eh, but it being G2 doesn't explain the "Robo"

G2 Drag Strip didn't originally have "Shadow" in his name either.

Okay, yeah. I'm getting that Hot Rod.
I didn't get the original so I'm happy there's one that leans more towards toy-accuracy. I like that they used tampographs to mimic the old stickers, too!

It's probably worth mentioning it's an edited pic of Siege Mirage from the card game!

Unfortunately that piece being yellow is a consequence of the plastic type: it's Polyamide, a sturdier type than regular ABS. PA is used in joints, and it can't be (economically) painted. Best one can do it sticker it.

And I'm happy there's a choice between cartoon and toy deco.

I'm sure the cartoon accurate magenta deco with solid windows will be released in the buzworthy bumblebee toyline, just give it some time....
