I think if they used a different color for the gold this would look a hell of alot better.

Thanks to the HK-TF we have some in-hand images of Takara Tomy's Cybertron Satellite Exclusive Dark Guard Optimus Prime. The figure is a black and gold redeco of the popular Transformers Prime First Edition Voyager Optimus Prime mold. Check out the images mirrored below.

To save his comrades who are infected with Dark Energon, Optimus Prime had his body covered with Energon Defense Coating. This black coating is an alloy Ratchet created by analyzing and converting MECH's equipment, and is capable of shielding Transformers from Dark Energon or any biological weapons such as a virus. Optimus' mobility is reduced due to the added weight, but this is the only form he can guard himself from Dark Energon

But the question is, how many versions of FE OP's did we get? Here they are:

1- Takara First Edition



2- Hasbro First Edition



3- Takara Convention Exclusive



4- This

I am sure that down the line, I will regret not getting this. The color scheme looks great, the background to the character is very well thought out, but I just cannot get past the packaging.

But all is good if/when they make a "Dark Energon" version of Arcee (preferably an Arms Micron version, that is).
