4. USA - While Japan did create the Diaclone and Microchange toys, the molds that were used for the first Transformers toys were under the Transformers brand in America in 1984 first. Japan would not get the Transformers until 1985.
The toy molds came from Japan, but the toys themselves were first released in America.
