Takara Tomy has updated their Transformers webpage with new information on the following:

a) Transformers Dark Of The Moon movie - with link to official Japanese movie website, DOTM toy preview.

b) Transformers 3 Movie Campaign: Target Master Micron Caliburst & Spoilspot

Caliburst is exclusive to Japan Toys R Us stores. Customers are entitle to this figure with the total purchase of Autobot Alliance figures/MPM2 Bumblebee/MP-09 Rodimus Convoys for more than Japanese Yen 3000.

Spoilspot on the other hand is exclusive to Bic Camera/Yodobashi Camera stores.

It was previously stated that the weapons in DotM would be more powerful....

The thought had crossed my mind too but I'd be very surprised if they released another Junkion so soon after Wreck-Gar and Scraphead in the E-Hobby exclusive set as it would decrease the demand for the set and be too much of the same thing at the same time for us fans.

How is Hasbro releasing Rumble? RTS, right? Which is also tied in with movie bots. I expect that Frenzy may show up as a DotM figure then. I'm pretty sure we'll see Frenzy before long, since Hasbro has shown us both paint jobs.

Well, it gets wiggly there - the main DotM line technically doesn't have scout class figures. He'd have to be released under the Cyberverse label... which does resolve the issue of his not having mechtech accessories, but it seems like he'd be out of place as a 'commander'.

Hmm, I don't recall that, but I honestly can't remember what we've seen where.

I would venture that Frenzy may appear in a Wal-Mart scout two-pack exclusive (like Beachcomber did). Presumably we'd see a repaint of Windcharger too.



I'm still disappointed that we never got the Blue Max repaint of RotF Ransack/Divebomb, and am still waiting for a G1 repaint of RotF Insecticon.

I always have and always will call the blue one Frenzy and the Red one Rumble.

I seem to remember that we saw a product listing from Takara Tomy for United which had a character called camera which was going to be the Perceptor repaint into Reflector.

I actually canceled my pre-order for United Scourge and Wheeljack as I prefer the Hasbro versions. Generations Scourge minus the unnecessary metallic blue paint is sitting right next to me just now waiting to be opened.
Just waiting for a pre-order from one of the Japanese online toy hobby stores I use for Hasbro's Wheeljack.
