More chrome, more chrome and more chrome. If you've been missing it on your Transformers Generations figures, then wait no longer. While not completely official, KapowToys has stated that Takara will be taking Generations under it's wing as Transformers United. These will be set for release in December!

What about that blue repaint of the Classics Bumblebee with chrome that surface a few months ago? It could be that.

While they are at it, I would be glad to see repaints of Beast Wars 10th Anniversary Optimus Primal/Cybertron Deluxe Class Jungle Planet Optimus Prime, as well as Beast Wars 10th Anniversary Megatron/Cybertron Deluxe Class Jungle Planet Megatron/Botcon 2010 Cindersaur. I am unsure what or how the Cyber Keys/Force Chips will be handled.

I think that BB, OP and Megatron are those going to be released Legend Class together with Starscream and Prowl.... maybe I am wrong

So United is basically going to be the equivalent to Henkei? I hope chrome is avoided but I'm all for TT's take on the colour schemes. The Generations figures have been great so far so I'm all for the United line. I'm not big on repaints but I enjoy Generations figures as much as Classics figures so I'll be picking up at least a few United offerings.

The blue Classics Bumblebutt was decided to be a high quality KO & not an official product.

This is going to be like Henkei all over again. Drift is awesome, but how much nicer is the United version going to be?

There's going to be a lot of buying a mold and not opening it in case the United version is vastly better (like Hound better, not like Sunstreaker better).

Hmm. Wonder if I should wait for Takara's WFC Megatron. Knowing them, they'll give him silver paint, which the Hasbro one lacks.

Stiffer material would be cool but chroming them would be a big failure. They're parts that will encounter friction when sheathed and removed from the sheathes so the chrome wouldn't last long.

Takara(Japan)'s different from Hasbro(America/Europe). Hasbro will be releasing Dirge and Blurr next month, we'll see what Takara's plans are for Dirge and Blurr later..

We're getting paint changes, whether they're better than Generations will be up to you.
NO WFC Starscream yet because Hasbro hasn't designed one yet.

I'm a Takara classics completest and all but no way in hell would I ever buy those molds, well even though I had to get the clear version of prime due to it being in a set.

As for those being the legends, I would think they would be sold in a pack of two or three like they did in the Henkei line and I would also think it would be a little early to release them since they were just showed off a month and the US won't be getting them until next year.

Even I must admit I'm stumped. Every figure in the list has a possible Hasbro counterpart except for UM-07 Bumblebee. I'm starting to think either the name solicited is incorrect, or Classics Bumblebee gets a repaint. Seriously, I went through every single line that had a Bumblebee and every single one of the possibilities has seen a previous Japanese release.

I'm ruling out the Legends as they'd, as pointed out earlier, be sold in a 3-pack, or be part of a new EZ Collection.

Now I have a difficult choice: I live in Tokyo so should I wait for the Generations - sorry Untied - figures I really want to be released by Takara Tomy (Jazz, Tracks, Grapple, Scourge) or just get the Hasbro ones when they come first?

I'm of the opinion that Takara, Hasbro, FansProject and Botcon releases rarely mix well in a display together. That being the case, along with the fact that I've prioritised Henkei to date, I truly hope that United is similarly chromed up as to display well with its preceding line.

Someone at either Botcon or SDCC (I forget which but I believe it was Botcon) from Hasbro coughed the name Kup for the Generations line.

Damn. I keep forgetting Takara does all this stuff with repaints & chrome. Perhaps I should've waited on a couple of figures. Oh well, as usual, it's a reminder to await the rest of the line and see what I like best.

Hm, Megatron that's not WFC?
I had an interesting idea for a custom instead but I'd like to see how that turns out.

Plus, I don't actually own the original figure OR have any customizing experience or skill so yeah...
