Thanks to TFW 2005 member Autobreadticon, we get our first public look at medical officer and surgeon, Red Alert, from the new Transformers Animated Comic that is included with the Jetfire and Jetstorm two-pack of toys.

The toy two-pack has seen release in parts of the world, and teh accompanying comic features many characters that should be a part of the Season 3 cartoon as well.

TFCC members have also had the privilege of seeing Red Alert, and the other members of her team in the newest issue of the club magazine which focuses on the next season of Transformers Animated characters, and the creators of the series.

Reminds me of the nurses you see from like WW2, with those big bonnets.

She looks like an elven priest from World of Warcraft.

The bot behind Magnus looks like Jetfire.

From what I'm seeing now Red Alert's design is bad. I mean whats with the afro?

Maybe the guy behind Magnus is Hound, the colors do sort of fit his G1 scheme.

Pfft. It's been in the rumor mill for ages Red Alert would be a femme, stop acting like it's such a big shot.

And its not an afro, it's a nurse's cap. It's just been exaggerated in size. Greatly.

Yea found a whole site with em still kinda disturbing to see Sonic with tits.....

female Nurses are cool, would be awesome if she had a personality similar to the G1 toon with all the "You're a traitor!" pointing at everybody.

The female thing doesn't bother me. It's the fact that she's a nurse. I realize the original Red Alert MAY have been a field medic, but his function was SECURITY CHIEF, not maintainance. He was command, not science. If this were Star Trek he would be wearing gold not blue, unless it was TNG then he'd be wearing red not blue. Yet somewhere along the way (I'm looking at you Unicron Trilogy) he morphed into G1 Hoist. Now I'm all for moving forward, but if this series is gonna be G1 homages, then let them be proper G1 homages.

Female Red Alert

Beachcomber is the one behind Ultra Magnus

Perceptor


The 2 black mysery bots are Jetfire & Jetstorm

Then finally is Sentinel Prime & Jazz


The one Behind Ultra Looks like a young Beachcomber also his paint scheme is reminiscnes with his G1 counterpart.

Also Wheel Jack is working with Perceptor on what is considered to be the future of Cybertron.


Also I see no bot that looks like Hound.


Hound is Green/Camo and is a Military Jeep in G1 anways he was.

I wonder if it is a flash-back episode and shows that it might be Sari Sumdac



Also it could be something like a techno-organic sort of like the things that were in Dweller in the Depths from G1 Season 3.


Or something like Promethues Black was working on.

Okay, I totally understand that this is NOT G1, though it is chock full of G1 homages. I didn't complain about Magnus outranking Optimus (much), I've quietly accepted most of the other subtle alterations with a grain of salt, and truthfully I've really enjoyed Animated. But really, people?! Transsexual Transformers? What was so difficult about having a female nurse that we had to use a formerly male name? Why not name her Paradron after the Paradron Medic statue and such? Or Firestar or Moonracer?

There's plenty of female characters that haven't seen the light of day in a decade, and the fans would love to see them brought back via Animated.

Why, instead, did they choose to play genderbender?

This is the comic pack in with Animated Jetfire and Jetstorm toys. It is showing how they were created and how they were given combining abilities I believe.
