The unnamed new Voyager Class Optimus Prime carries new chinese characters on the vehicle.
Other than "大将“ (General), this time the new wordings are "勇猛果敢,武士道”.
The meaning of the new wordings are "Bravery and Courage, Bushido".

The second image is Ravage and according to Striker, this will be a Japanese exclusive.

Doubt it. It's just the same Voyager Prime we've been getting since shortly before the first film came out years ago. Unless they just designed the Jetfire component to armor up around that mold, like the City Commander trailer does with Classics Magnus. But if that's the case then, given the jet component doesn't have a robot mode, it'll have to be sold with a set which will force anyone interested to buy the Voyager mold again.
But I really don't think that's the case.

And this is one of the same people that would claim that the Chromed version we are getting as a redemption figure would be cooler if Takara released that one instead. Sometimes I think people just want to bash Hasbro just because. Stop b_tching!!!

I don't like the Rainbow Ravage, wouldn't like it if God himself issued it. You don't know me, don't presume to make assumptions about me or label me. If you like it, say you do, if you don't say you don't. Don't start flaming, we don't need it.

G1 inspired, maybe; but are we getting a flavour of a premium line?

Actually, the pictures we've see thus far do show that the new Power-Up Prime will indeed be a Voyager Prime with add-on armour parts, so this could very well be the base figure for that set.
However, it's worth bearing in mind that the original ROTF Voyager Prime that came out in the US (the one with the Chinese writing on it) was never actually released in Japan. So for Takara, it's the very first mass-release of that particular colour scheme (the Toyfar Exclusive version excepted, of course).

Weird.
"Bushido" is a word we adapted from Japanese, and the concept is Japanese. But Japanese has taken over and sometimes adapted Chinese characters into their kanji. 武士道 is no exception. Literally, bit by bit, it means "Armed Warrior Moral", or more abstractly, "Warrior Code". For all we know, it's Japanese as well as Chinese, the charcaters are the same.
