Our Japanese friend - Alfes2010 has just updated his blog with the out of the box toy images of Takara version Transformers Animated Elite Guard Commander - Ultra Magnus.

Notoble differences in term of paint work compare to Hasbro version Ultra Magnus are the colour choice for the vehicle front cab and metallic paint application.

As much as I like the TTomy version, I still prefer the Hasbro version since it's more accurate to the cartoon. TTomy gotta stop with the metallic/ glossy paint obsession.

I can't believe I never picked up Hasbro's UM or RB UM. I like Takara's version but it's like twice the price on BBTS!
