I just got back from TRU and it appears all the "exclusives" sets are priced 5 dollars apart keeping you from getting a real bargin unless you want to buy the more expensive set or 2 of the same set.

Whirl and Bludgon: $25

Shanghai Showdown: $30

Mixmaster and Hoist $35

Gathering at the Nemesis 3 Pack: $40

Shadow Megatron: $45

I bought Shanghai Showdown and decided to save my extra cash for beer money.

When I made my purchases today, Toys R Us gave me a coupon book for $5 off a purchase of $25 (or more) during April 11-17, and April 18-24. There was some other Baby's R Us stuff there too. And I'm not sure what conditions you have to meet to get the coupon book, but that said, I have one

It was well-signed at my local TRU. Did your friend try running the items through a price scanner? When I did this, it said what the regular price was and had the word promo in there, also. At the register, it rang up no problems.

I ended up finally biting on HA Skids, Arcee and Mikaela, which will no doubt make my wife happy and Universe Exclusive Darkwind.

I like the movie twins a good deal with Skids being my favorite of the two. I think it's the green. Darkwind was to partner up with Botcon Dreadwing wasn't he?

Got TRU to price adjust a 3 deluxe purchase I made Saturday so I ended walking out with a free cybertron ratchet. A couple of TRU had "Buy 1 Get 1 Free all hasbro transformers toys" right next to the "Buy 1 Get 1 50% off all hasbro transformers toys" but I was in a hurry so I didn't want to sit and argue.
