Has an official release date for him and the Insecticons been announced yet?

Any differences between this one and the original (aside from packaging)?

September something? I'm not too sure about the exact date, but it's in that general area.

It's rumoured that Perceptor's missile isn't spring-loaded. I'm not sure if that's entirely true, I'm pretty sure someone who went to Botcon/SDCC might know a tad more information than I do.

While I don't personally have any further information on that, I will say that past G1 reissues have had their springs gutted because their missiles are too small by today's toy safety standards, Perceptor's missiles look like they're under the (I think it's) 2 inch long regulation size, so it's a safe bet they're non-firing.

That being said, depending on what price these'll be going for online, I may just have to pick one up. Perceptor's not a character I was particularly interested in until his turn for the badass in IDW's more recent stuff (say what you will about AHM, Perceptor kicked ass) and I think he'd fit in perfectly well with my classics/universe team.

Nice but I got a 100% complete original off of eBay a few months ago for £20. It was in excellent condition too. The Insecticons on the other hand...

I'm has big Transformers fan has anyone else here so my question is this:

Does anyone really care about this old, ugly, cheap material, brick like transformers?

Give me some new Classics/Universe ones, not this crapy ones.
I had a few when I was a kid and honestly I always felt a bite disappointed about the final product.

Unbeknownst to yourself, these G1 Reissues sell well. It's lovely for figures like these to be available for those(like myself), who were never given this opportunity to get these before. And whether it's a piece of crap, or something of the sort, is something I'd like to discover for myself. Also, you'll be getting Classics/Universe 3.0 in a good year or two.

Even though I have G1 versions I'm still planning on picking up both reissues when they are released. Perceptor was always a favorite of mine, and if memory serves me one of my Insecticons is loose.

Perceptor was my favorite toy as a kid and mine is pretty beaten up. I will pick this up. Possible two copies, depending on price.

When I was a kid, one of my best friends had a banged up Perceptor. It proudly displayed the scars of many sandbox wars. We always used him in his alt cannon mode, never the microscope mode. Take that peace and science!
