Well it looks like Walmart Canada wasted no time in stocking the Transformers shelves after clearing them out in that crazy $3 sale. The wave 1 voyagers from Age of the Primes were found in Ontario Walmarts. The case content for voyagers is 1 Prima Prime and 2 Red Alerts. We thank Transformizer for the image below. The Mandalorian crossover figure was also found in Ontario Walmartz.

Toyworld in Australia has been getting these AOTP toys as well, even as far back as a month ago for leader class Megatronus.

1 Prima and 2 Red Alert? In a line named after the Primes? I guess we know what figure will be shelfwarming for the first wave and beyond..

Well, hopefully that means some will soon be at US Walmarts. Goodness knows they've had nothing but Earthspark chum, and ONE leftovers for over four months...

Wasn't sure I'd got in on the Combaticons, but finally pre-ordered Vortex. We'll see if he holds up. He looks pretty good though.

Hopefully the rest of them aren't as difficult to get ahold of as the Stunticons. Still looking for a Dead End for mine.

Also, hopefully Blastoff is a shuttle from the get go, instead of getting a jet mode and then a super limited exclusive shuttle version down the road like CW.

The people who made that call back then are no longer in charge (or possibly even employed) at Hasbro anymore.

Not to revel on some guys' loss of employment, but that may be a good thing. ;)

The decision was made as we learned later, due to CW being on such a strict budget. That's why most of the Voyagers were a retool of Silverbolt and there were really only 4 unique limb molds.

One of my local Walmarts still has three pegs full of Bee movie Arcee! Still at full price! Like they haven't even been trying to give these shelves some TLC and clearance this stuff out!

The wave 1 voyagers from Age of the Primes have been found at a GameStop in Houston, Texas. With how much distribution has changed of late, GameStop is more reliable than any other brick and mortar retailer in terms of stocking Transformers toys. The case content for voyagers is 1 Prima Prime and 2 Red Alerts. The photo comes from Rich.

The toys are also available on the GameStop website.

Two legends of Transformers: Cybertron return for their 20th anniversary!

Sideways – The mysterious descendent of Liege Maximo converts between robot and jet mode in 21 steps. Armed with swords, a shield, and a Cyber Planet Key, this rogue warrior is ready for battle.

Excellion – The speed-driven descendent of Amalgamous Prime blazes onto the battlefield! This figure converts from robot to sports car mode in 17 steps and includes a blaster and Cyber Planet Key.

Every time this gets a new official mention, I get my hopes up for this design being redecoed mostly mint green with a little white for a wide release. That'll probably happen when I finally get around to repainting the one that's been on my workbench almost 2 decades.

Leige Maximo makes so much sense for Sideways

Also, its so weird seeing Excellion referred to as a legend of Cybertron feels so bizarre given that the character never appeared in the cartoon or its comics, and his only appearance in any media is a text-only story from Timelines

It might be a subtle wink to the old "Legends of Cybertron" Hot Shot toy, specifically the red version that used Excellion's deco but was inexplicably still named "Hot Shot" instead, as though referring to him as such now is trying to make up for that little goof and finally give him his due respect.

It's this line of thinking right here that led to Combiner Wars Blast Off initially being released as a jet instead of a shuttle.

Scale is out the window with the Combaticons anyway.

Even if they make Blast Off a Jet, it's still widely out of scale with a Tank, a Jeep and a Helicopter regardless.

Just let him be a totally off scale Shuttle and we'll be fine.

Whoa, that's a deep reference.

You're likely right, though, as I think that's too specific to be coincidental.

Same! I'm comparing him to my GF original, and there are very minute differences I'm really spotting now. Interesting that in the stock photos the backpack is kept up.

Went in Wal-mart yesterday and couldn't believe my eyes; actual new current wave figures, early even. I bought Waspinator and (the only)Slingshot. They also had 1 Air Raid but Slingshot is the only Aerialbot I want(they all look great though), so I left it.

IMG_20250319_144813.jpg

Slingshot is awesome. I have only two complaints: he cannot look up at all and his heels/back of foot. Another hinge was needed or something, but I know, blah blah, not in the budget. Otherwise perfect, looks like he jumped off the screen.

Waspinator was my first time handling this mould as I didn't like Animated Bee enough to buy and was waiting on Wasp. Very glad I did, as he is amazing. This small of a figure has wrist swivels and the rest of the articulation all over that deluxe scale and up should, but importantly he can look all the way up, wonderful. :HASBRO: :TAKARATOMY: Please articulate all heads like this, a small cutout to allow looking up is much preferred then accurate back of the head looks to me.

Now I have completed my G1 headcannon Scavengers :D

The deluxe Aerialbots look so cheap compared to the UW/CW versions. The total cost of the set would be over $200, I might as well just buy a UW set from Japan for that much.

Fans across the world are having fun finding the Transformers Age of the Primes line in stores a bit earlier than expected. We now have lots of reviews available for these figures, so here’s a rundown in case you want as much info as possible before spending your hard-earned cash on them.

Megatronus the Fallen
One of the original Thirteen Primes, Megatronus is a dark and powerful figure who eventually becomes The Fallen. He is known for his betrayal and for killing Solus Prime, an act that led to his exile. This figure captures his menacing look and transforms into a Cybertronian tank.

G2 Universe Grimlock & Autobot Wheelie
This Leader Class release features Grimlock in his Generation 2 blue and gold color scheme, a throwback to the 1990s toy line. He transforms into a robotic Tyrannosaurus rex and includes a small, non-transforming Autobot Wheelie figure that can ride on his back.

G2 Grimlock does not have a full video review at the moment

Prima Prime
The first Transformer created by Primus, Prima is the Warrior of Light and the original wielder of the Matrix of Leadership. This figure represents him as a heroic and noble character with a design that emphasizes his mythic origins.

Red Alert (Armada Universe)
Based on the character from Transformers: Armada, this figure modernizes Red Alert’s design while keeping his emergency rescue vehicle alt mode. He features sculpted details inspired by his original incarnation and is a treat for Unicron Trilogy fans.

Solus Prime
The Prime of Creation, Solus Prime is revered for her ability to forge weapons and artifacts used by the other Primes. This figure includes a stylized forge hammer and a sleek, powerful look that reflects her important role in Cybertronian mythology.

Air Raid
A member of the Aerialbots, Air Raid transforms into a jet and is known for his brash, reckless flying style. This figure captures his G1-inspired colors and simplified design suitable for younger fans or collectors looking to complete their Aerialbot team.

Slingshot
Another core member of the Aerialbots, Slingshot transforms into a jet and is known for his arrogant and loud personality. This version stays close to his G1 roots and complements the rest of the team for a potential combiner display.

Wasp (Animated)
Before he became Waspinator, Wasp was a cadet in the Autobot Academy in Transformers: Animated. He was falsely accused of being a Decepticon spy by Bumblebee and imprisoned, which began his path toward madness. This figure represents him in his pre-Waspinator form, with a unique green and black color scheme and a stylized alt mode.

While I've not personally seen AoP in stores yet, Game Stop did have Prima Prime in stock so I ordered it to get free shipping on a couple other items I wanted. Here i thought my first purchase for 2025 would be an Aerialbot. lol
And only because the 13 don't really interest me that much, I only like a few of the designs so probably won't get them all anyway. If not for getting a rebate on said purchase I would have waited for a sale on Amazon or something for this particular character.

My most anticipated figure as of now would have to either be Silverbolt or Air Raid.

I just transformed Red Alert and man... It's good and bad. The good is that he look perfect in all mode and he's solid in hand. The bad is that he's full of really, REALLY HARD "snap" joints all over the place, making posing a chore. Plus the heels and head are badly designed because for transformation, I needed a tool to take them out of their holes.

Also...

I can't believe that DELUXE Transformers now cost over 50$CAN.

I don't care about the official label.
It's the size of a deluxe, the weigh of a deluxe, and the parts count of a deluxe.
By classic CHUG and Unicron Trilogy standards, of course.

I got my first Age of the Primes sighting last night at Meijer of all places, and picked up Waspinator. Hes really really cool. The mold has thoroughly impressed me, its so sold! Holds good in both modes. Can this be the new generations esq body mold for Bumblebee going forward? Litte retool and it could make a sick non animated style Bee or Cliffjumper

Thanks to JTPrime 17, we now have our first listing for the 2026 Age of the Primes line and it is none other than Big Convoy. Now we knew he'd be coming in one way or another, with him appearing on previous artwork and we also had a rumour of him coming out as probably Made to Order. Well it turns out he won't be made to order, but will instead just be a standard retail release, coming out as a leader class figure.

Here is the listing:

Product Number: G1906

I'm hoping that it's no taller than the original, since the three main hero Convoys of Japanese Beast Wars are all supposed to be equal in height to each other in their organic beast robot forms.

And I guess we'll have to wait and see what name they sell him under, since Hasbro has never used the "Convoy" name for a Japanese-original character at US mass retail.

The more I've seen of the new Aerialbots, the better and better they're looking to be. While there are a few glaring issues for me with the combined form, even that is looking good, and it's a huge improvement over the CW version; while show/screen accuracy isn't a factor for everyone like it is for me and others, the engineering and combining system alone makes this new set better. It was a pretty decent letdown that these "ginormous, powerful robots" ended up so flimsy and unstable in toy form with the CW versions. I'm 98% sure I'll be selling my UW Superion. And for that matter, same for my UW Bruticus. As much as I wanted to like that set, the combined form just didn't deliver; not only does it lack in terms of appearance, again, the stability issue pretty much ruined it for me.
I think it's a safe bet that the Protectobots will be next. After Menasor, Defensor was the weakest CW combiner imo. I just hope these all get released next year. Maybe Onslaught will be the CC release for April, and Hot Spot will be the CC figure for August.

For anyone who preordered Silverbolt through Amazon, keep an eye out; my copy is supposed to arrive this Thursday.

Supposedly Powerglide and Swerve are coming next year so that sounds great! Finally be able to knock a big one off the list with I think leaving only Seaspray left.
Can't say I'm all that interested in the others on this list though.

Haven't fully decided on getting any Combaticons yet so Blast Off and brawl are an uncertainty as well as Quintus and Amlagamous Prime.

Just heard about these leaked listings as well.

Onslaught will be a Commander Class release. I'm sure there's at least a bit more coming as well; I would think Swindle will be released next year to finish the Combaticons.
