Tuesday the 6th of January 2009 sees the DVD release of the complete second season of Transformers: Animated.

Unlike the first season collection, the second season collection features every episode of the second season, and if the listings on Amazon and Walmart are a good indicator of market price, the Transformers: Animated season 2 collection should retail in the vicinity of US$20.

The Transformers: Animated season 2 collection features two episode commentaries on the episodes ""Mission Accomplished" and "Garbage In, Garbage Out", as well as a photo Gallery and two animated shorts, the first of which we reported on earlier.

I just picked this up after work earlier today from Wal-Mart (I work at Target 3rd shift and we didn't have them out yet since most new releases aren't stocked until an hour before the doors open).
Well worth the $20, The shorts are pretty funny, and are based on the Decepticons, the first one being StarScream mocking Megatron and the second being Lugnut using creating a very deep hole, only to have Blitzwing say that he would like the pool somewhere else.
The commentary is pretty decent too, but I wish that all the episodes had a commentary..

EDIT: FIRST!!! (Sorry, I always wanted to do that)

I'm watching the DVDs right now. I'm very happy to have these episodes again ... my Dish Network DVR crashed last month and the DVR had to be replaced. Currently watching the episode with the illegal street racing.
