Via fellow Seibertronian kurthy, we have an update from the Transformers Collector's Club about their Subscription Service 4.0 - you're soon to receive the first figure some point after next week, so keep an eye on your mailboxes, and find out more below!

Hello Subscribers,

The 4.0 shipment will arrive next week and we plan to get the first figure out to you ASAP. We need everyone to login and update your address if you have moved. In addition, the next installment payment will be processed on May 18 so please make sure your information is still correct. Because of the delay by the factory, we will be sending out each figure about 3 weeks apart.

After you log in, click My Account in the bottom lefthand corner and you can update your address and credit card information there.

I thought we were talking about individual robot heads rather than combiner heads. Sky Lynx's robot head would probably be hard to do anything with, given that it's part of his vehicle mode and there's nobody else who really looks like him, so I don't think that part's likely to change.

So the feline head is the more likely one to be switched out.

Fellow podcaster extraordinaire Megatronus has just obtained the latest issue of the Transformers Club Magazine and it had some info about the new subscription service. Here is what he had to share, along with some pics:

The Club magazine arrived today, and they have a spread on the 6 TFSS 5.0 figures.

Notable bits include:
-Registration for 5.0 supposedly opens this week
-The Paradron Medic is called 'Lifeline'
-Toxitron, Fractyl, and Counterpunch are all designated 'Wreckers' and seem intended to combine

There's a bio for Lifeline (and TFSS 4.0 Impactor) towards the end of the magazine, I've included a shot of that as well.

now? That seems a little weird, so who's stuff do they wreck now since they're comprised of a mix of allegiances?

I don't think they mean the Autobot wreckers I think Wrecker is the Combiner's name from what I have heard.

I think it's a callback to Beast War-era convention Wrecker fiction, which had a Wreckers team featuring 'bots, 'cons, Maximals and Predacons. Notably, Fractyl was one of those Wreckers.

The linked Impactor bio mentions he's rebuilding a Wreckers team from any survivor he can find - I assume he'll be leading this mixed Wrecker combiner.

3H-era Wreckers were a mix of factions... And I think Carnivac even joined their ranks in the UK comic.

So having Deceptions on the Wreckers is just continuing the long tradition.

(EDIT: The bio referencing "Survivors" seems to be a decided nod to the UK stuff)

The mold itself is not bad not great but not awful either.

But really what would you have made Toxitron from neither HotSpot or Onslaught fit Toxitron that well unless they want to change his alt mode?

Plus, it was originally gonna be Nemesis Prime until Takara went and made Grand Scourge, forcing the Club to change its plans for the Motormaster mold's other pretooled head.

So if they hadn't gone with the Motormaster mold, we wouldn't be getting that final headsculpt.

Who says it has to be Toxitron, is that a thing? As 'Wreckers', I could see using Scattershot or Onslaught, since Onslaught was just used, I think Scattershot with a new head and combiner head and a bunch of guns would have been pretty cool :michaelbay:

Any word on the Ratbat and hologram Megatron toys? Have they given and details about how to get our eager little paws on them?

The Club was gonna make use of the Motormaster mold's alternate headsculpt by turning it into Nemesis Prime, but when Takara made Grand Scourge out of the regular Optimus mold, that made the Club's plans for Nemesis Prime redundant, so they switched the deco into Toxitron instead.
