Thanks to an email from James Eatock, we have news that there are now several original G1 Production Art pages that have been posted by Eatock himself, and that now several are up for auction on Ebay! These original Production arts feature characters that showed up in the Sunbow cartoon, and feature some pretty neat things, such as the 1983 (you did read that right) design for Bumblebee and the original art for Mirage, before his show look was finalized and changed fairly significantly.

Most of the art pieces are just for show now, but there are 6 pieces that have currently made their way to Ebay, and include shots of Prowl, Ravage, and some scenery used in the show. The current auctions also include over 200 other art pages from other shows, are available and up for Auction on Ebay, with all the auctions ending on Sunday.

Check them out some of the highlighted Transformers art below, and let us know what you think of these Production art pieces, and if you intend to bid on this historical pieces that are on Ebay, or may make their way to Ebay soon!

Transformers News: Transformers G1 Production Arts Revealed, Some Now up on Ebay

Here I present a never-before-seen concept illustration (circa 1983) of the Autobot BUMBLEBEE by Marvel Productions! :) - Included in the huge batch of Marvel Productions' Transformers artwork I acquired were a bunch of concept illustrations which appear to be the EARLIEST renditions of certain characters - These illustrations were definitely created in-house at Marvel Productions, and were definitely based on the toys - HOWEVER, it would appear that the artist was taking HUGE liberties with their robot forms - Those I've shown these illustrations to agree that it's quite possible that they relate to the shelved pilot-script that Jeffry Scott wrote titled "A Robot's Best Friend Is His Dog"... #transformers #transformersg1 #optimusprime #megatron #hasbro #animation #japanimation #cartoons #1980s #80scartoons #80stoys #retro #vintage #actionfigure #actionfigures #bumblebee

That Mirage artwork reminds me of the very expensive even for 1985 standards Steve Ditko TF coloring/adventure books.

I remember because I couldn't afford to buy them back then.

I'm not sure how I feel about the "pooping" Bumblebee.
