I was skeptical about him being an extensive retool of Airazor, and while it looks like he still has a lot of the same problems as Airazor, he still looks fine enough. I'm surprised that they've made the pteranodon head cartoon accurate instead of trying to make it look realistic like the other beast modes in Kingdom, but I'm not too fussed about it.

told ya so
that being said, he's not as glorious as I would have liked. Personally I think his wings should have been bigger with an extra fold joint so they compact a wee bit more. but given his animation model is considered "impossible to reproduce in toy form" I still think its a good compromise. Also he can breathe fire now. Yay.
We were saying no way because it would still just be a placeholder fig and not something show accurate. Which is exactly what we are getting. They didn't even try with that fake chest which just remains there in alt mode. His alt mode looks like a big pile of ass.
I mean, I'll buy it, but this feels more like Generations Blurr rather than either TR or SS Blurr.

I wish all the beast modes were cartoon accurate.
Hey, if Megatron falling into lava while carrying an extra spark turned him into a dragon and made him huge, why wouldn't falling into lava during the quantum wave turn Terrorsaur into Rodan?Sabrblade wrote:Though, Terrorsaur's fall into lava infusing him with lava powers that let him breath fire makes it sound an awful lot like he fell not into lava but into Angolmois Energy. Leakers have said that Blaster is supposed to come with Eject.TF-fan kev777 wrote:Blaster will be a weird one. My guess is that he will be K-36 which would put him at the end of the numbering for regular releases and ahead of the exclusives. But, I find it pretty odd that they would release a Blaster without any cassettes to go with him. Maybe with the possibility of a SG Soundwave, they will revisit the cassette packs in selects or some other means of getting them out.
Megatron was already Transmetalized. He could withstand the lava. Tarantulas did too when he was tossed into it. Terrorsaur was still in his season 1 pre-Transmetal body when he took his lava dip, which did kill him. The text here says that the lava ought to have killed him here too, but instead protected him and gave him fire breath. That's some magic lava, there.Nemesis Primal wrote:Hey, if Megatron falling into lava while carrying an extra spark turned him into a dragon and made him huge, why wouldn't falling into lava during the quantum wave turn Terrorsaur into Rodan?Sabrblade wrote:Though, Terrorsaur's fall into lava infusing him with lava powers that let him breath fire makes it sound an awful lot like he fell not into lava but into Angolmois Energy. So I guess in a 12 month cycle about 40 items (which includes some exclusives) is going to be about the normal? Also, some of these are multi-packs, so the actual number of toys released has some variance as well.

Wait, how does the faux chest make both modes look inaccurate? The purpose of a faux part is to make the mode it’s featured in MORE accurate, sometimes at the expense of the other mode(s), but always as a shortcut to a more difficult (or impossible) engineering process for the conversion, like size, shape, or color shifting of a part between modes, or as a means of avoiding “partsforming.” The faux chest makes Terrorsaur’s robot mode look more accurate, not less. The beast mode is the only part that suffers for it. Yes, it duplicates the “rump” section of the beast mode on the chest, but it’s mostly hidden by how the figure stands in beast mode. At least it’s not a situation like with Maximal Skywarp where he magically has two eagle heads prominently visible in robot mode!
