Meanwhile, "Transformers Prime Beast Hunters" won in two categories.
Yasuhiro Motoda was given the Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation (Character Animator), with Jose Lopez honored with the Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation (Character Design).
The full-CG "Transformers" animated series is based on the "Transformers" robot toy line, which marks its 30th anniversary this year. The previous season, "Transformers Prime Beast Hunters" was named the Outstanding Special Class Animated Program at the 39th Daytime Emmys.

Is there any surprise? This show has the best visuals put into a cartoon.

Don't celebrate just yet, guys. The article might be misinformed. Looking into this to see what's up.

Transformers: Prime and Beast Hunters have long since aired, been and gone, with the new animated series Robots in Disguise loosely continuing the story. Which means it's finally time for the UK to get some boxed sets that work around region blocks! Courtesy of Primal Screen, the UK distributor, we have a whole slew of releases listed on Amazon.co.uk, including Season One (£22.67, May 18th release), Season Two (£21.50, in stock), and a two-volume Season Three/Beast Hunters (£8 each, 27th April and 1st June respectively). While these do not include the Shout! Factory extra material, at least they're almost here for UK fans - check them out by clicking on the images below!

Wonder why season 3 is in two volumes instead of a boxed set.

Still waiting on one cohesive Bluray box with all these seasons and some bonus stuff. Probably going to be waiting a while from the looks of it. Then again, anything here will be from Shout, who seem to be completely allergic to bonus extras sometimes(see: Unicron Trilogy re-releases).

OK, full series (minus Predacons rising) out in Pal region, that's already pretty positive. I'll wait for the Blueray release though. The show looks so pretty in HD.
It is kinda weird though, that season 1 and 2 are in full season boxes, while the much shorter Beast Hunters is in two volumes pretty weird.
The box designs are pretty cool too, even if not really uniform, far nicer than the Metrodome G1 boxes.

That's annoying. I've already imported seasons 1 and 3 on blu-ray, with season 1 being region free. Now I'm not sure whether to go the distance with imported blu-rays (which means getting a region free player) or fall back on to the native VDs.

Why? I thought you liked the designs.(Remember when I said BH OP had one of the best Optimus designs and character and you agreed for the design part but not the character?)

He's an RID fan now and saur about the negative reaction to its animation and it being compared to the vastly superior visuals and animation of its predecessor.

It's the animation itself I was never fan of, with how it took precedence over story and characters in the eyes of the makers. Prettiness should never outweigh the more substantial factors.

I seem to remember you praising the animation for how especially Starscream was bursting with character, especially whenever his wings moved to show his mood.
And I guess the posts you made in this very thread, like the post you started the thread with, were filled with lies and did not actually express your feelings and views about and of the show?
Or do you only really like something when it's new? I noticed that when Rescue Bots got properly started you began praising it for being far better than Prime, tell me, will you leave Rescue Bots by the wayside and start speaking negative about that once the next show hits?

As for Rescue Bots, I still love it, still watch it, its animation has gotten even better and more advanced with each season, I look forward to the rest of this season and season 4, and I still like it more than Prime and RID.

Allow me to clarify. I do like some of the things that were done by the animators, such as those examples with Starscream you mentioned. Those were great. It's just... it's like that those were the only things that mattered more than anything else by the show's creators, that and the epicness, which caused most of the story and characters to fall by the wayside. There is still a lot to like about the show (Starscream being an obvious positive), and as I said, they did make it look pretty, but looking back on the show as a whole, there's a lot that could have been improved upon had the animation not taken so high a precedence as it did, especially in the first season (which I felt even back when that season was airing).Dead Metal wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The designs are fine.Lockdownhunter wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I'd rather not.Lockdownhunter wrote:Just look at the CGI!

I felt the exact opposite, it took me quite a while to get used to the animating and actually start liking it, to me it was too cartoony to be realistic and too realistic to be cartoony.
But I liked how the creators seemed to take pride in the show and respected it and the subject as much as the fandom did.
Not trying to start a fight here, it's just that I find it odd how you defended the show during its run-time whenever someone had something negative to say about it, and how it was better at things than previous incarnations. But now you seem to not like it as much as you claimed you did back then whenever someone who likes it says something negative about RB and RID, or the Japanese not-sequel.
Story and character wise I think it's fine, well save for the examples I brought up back then, like Optimus Prime, that guy took ages to actually start to make click.
But here's the thing, I prefer a cartoon show to have fantastic animation and an average story, than a better written show with animation that makes my head hurt.
But it'S good to hear that you're sticking to your guns on Rescue Bots.
