Full Metal Hero member Gamofsteak has posted in-hand images and a short review of Transformers Prime "Robots in Disguise" Deluxe Wheeljack. Images are mirrored below, click here to read his thoughts on the figure.
Wheeljack doesn't like Trolls just like the rest of us.
Hes also certain that Trolling is an art, not "a" art.
Ahem. Now that the Troll Joke is over...
This figure looks really good! This could even substitute for a Cybertronian Wheeljack, you know? With all these IDW designs coming in with the Cybertronian modes, this seems like a great substitute for the toy.
Well this does seem to have potential, I'm not sure about the head though but it could be the lighting. But to believe that WJ is a swordsman after all these years...sorry but no. I'm just gonna have to find him a decent pistola or 2 cuz the blades just ain't right...'nuff said!
True... his accessories are incongruent. I hate it when they arbitrarily say someone is a ninja and give them swords. Animated Prowl, I'm lookin' at you.
Those swords had better be at least semi-stiff. It better not be gooey rubbery like Drift's sword. Bludgeon's weren't much better at least they didn't flop under gravity like it was melting.
For all of you guys hating on Wheeljack's "Ninja" Complex, keep this in mind: Not every scientist is a total "Stay in the lab" Pansy. G1 Wheeljack scrapped alot to, didn't he? Sure, our first taste of Prime "Jacky" wasn't of his Scientist side, but that Wheeljack we saw in the base was Makeshift. The one that escaped and came back and Kicked Makeshift's ass? Wheeljack, and he ended Makeshift with a bang. Probably a bomb of his very own design... All the Character Development came from Makeshift. We'll see his Scientist side next time he rolls into town. The wreckers needed him because he was a Warrior, AND a scientific mind, Drift was just a cold-sparked killer turned good through training with monks and the like and gave up guns for swords and all that. While they share in looks, they are NOT the same.
