The good thing is that for once they have to dodge fire instead of just standing still while the other side shoots over their heads.

I still say it's dumb marketing not to have a toy line.

-dies from all the epic-ness- Reminds me a LOT of Beast Wars. Which was a really awesome show. And funny.

Hmm... i actually expected the animation to be more detailed... this looks like something from a video game, IMO. Nonetheless, it looks decent enough. Though, i can`T see any toys coming...

Has CGI not improved since Beast Wars? In fact BW looked better than this. Well...........GI Joe looks good.

Visual style is lacking, but glad to see some actual fighting. Still, I miss Animated.

Feels like a throwback to Beast Wars. I like it. Plus based on just those few seconds, I take back my nay saying of Brian Tyler. The music sounds pretty cool and not the generic afterthought music you normally would get in a action cartoon for children.

As long as the show isn't just a bunch of "If we lose this battle against the Decepticons, the war is over" and then next week "No, if we lose THIS battle against the Decepticons, the war is really over!" and then the following week "Okay, THIS is the battle that we can't lose or else the war is really really over!!!". One 'Clone Wars' is bad enough.

I vaguely remember the producers saying the animation level would be on par with the Clone Wars series.

Not. Even. Close.

It lacks any of the depth, the lighting, or even the detail that the Clone Wars series has.

Granted it's only one clip, but this series hasn't impressed me visually at all.

Hopefully the writing makes up for it.

I LOVE IT!!!

It might be me who miss the Beast Wars sooo much, but I love those graphics! 300% better than Energon or Cybertron allready!

I do hope that this was unfinished and that the cgi will be much better for the actual show.....

I don't think it's a question of the CGI's quality. It looks much better if you watch it in full frame because the video seems to change to a higher definition. I think though that the environment could use more detail. Those characters in a more elaborate setting would look great. Not photo realistic, but sort of stylized. Clone Wars may look good but I can't put myself in the writers or directors positions and figure out who the hell they think is having fun watching what they're putting out. If Prime keeps in mind that it needs to be exciting and fun and not redundant with its storytelling, then I'm perfectly fine with the way it looks.

Hopefully the environments are more detailed overall then what we've seen. Nothing really stood out to me like I was hoping it would. I still hope this turns out to be a good show.

Looks pretty entertaining, and it'll probably be even better once some dialogue is put in. Arcee looked good in that video and even seemed to have a bit of pink on her. I wonder why they didn't just call her Chromia if she was going to be blue. And I see that Bumblebee's eyes are as freaky as ever.

Another thing, some of you guys are still posting that there won't be a toyline. I thought it had already been established in previous Seibertron articles that there will indeed be one.
Not only that, but USA Today wrote in this very article, "Of course, there will be accompanying toys."
They also acquired the video clip from Hasbro, who is also likely the responsible party for sending them the other info they have in that article, which includes the line about the toys.

They better hurry up and get there HD corresponding channel launched. My satellite provider is DISH Networks and they only have the Standard Definition channel of The Hub Channel. I have been watching The Hub Channel advertises that they have their channel in HD which i soon yet to see. So DISH And Direct TV better get on the ball to acquire all the lost channels not included in the everything packages. Go look at Midcontinents channel line up and u will c it to be true. I want to have the opportunity to watch the new Transformers Series in HD. They r missing all the rest of the MTV channels and many more. I want to have the equal opportunity to get all the channels that everybody else is getting.

Ya, the video screen doesn't work. Just click in the link under the first 2 paragraphs that says "VIDEO: Check out a preview of 'Transformers: Prime'" and you'll get there.
Edit: Never mind unless you're using the link from the news on the main page. The link from this thread go straight to the video to which I'm referring.

Edit2: Actually I just tried it again and it didn't work regardless, though it did the first time I watched it. Maybe refreshing the page a few times will work?

Edit3: I hope I'm allowed to post this here.

Here's a Youtube link of the video

I like the show from what ive seen so far however i cant really say i like the character line up, if this show is based on war for cybertron or that exodus book, you would think they'd focus on more of the characters prominent in their tie ins as opposed to some of their characters like bulkhead was never in the tie ins and at most characters like arcee and cliffjumper had a very minor role in the game or book(cliffjumper wasn't even in the console versions of the game) anyways i hope it may be explained or we get to see the other characters in wfc like ironhide and jetfire or jazz who, according to the exodus novel, was prime's best friend, be featured in later seasons but only time will tell

I have no idea why but....I really hate the Raf Esquivel character, he just seems like he'll be annoying.
Which is a rather stupid assumption considering I've never seen the show...

Eh oh well, it looks ok so far.

I really REALLY hope this is not a tie in to War for Cybertron. The change in the characters is just too drastic. It would be similar to the original Megatron becoming Galvatron. And as far as I know at least Megatron is not an earth vehicle, so why the sudden drastic redesign? If this is worked into the new official cannon I'm gonna go nuts. It's bad enough with IDW Transformers looking different every freakin' time I pick up an issue. And I'll reserve true judgment until I watch Prime, but War for Cybertron visually is ten levels above this in every way, and not just graphically but in overall atmosphere and tone. So I really hope the two VERY different versions of Transformers aren't smashed together half-assed.

I'm really not "up to date" on my GIJoe toys/Cartoon combos... is the new GIJoe toon drastically stylized? I mean, the newest Toys I have seen at the comic shop look solidly normal and cool.

Another bland, lifeless and relatively cheap CGI show. What a surprise...

I will hazard a guess most of the scenes will be in open sparse environments with not a lot going on besides the actual characters.

So not impressed with the quality of the graphics for this show. It looks like somewhat generic computer game animation, and nothing more. I'll wait to see a few episodes to pass final judgment and all, and I'm sure the story will most assuredly be great. But right off the bat, I'm not very impressed. :(

The toys out now aren't based off the new show. The new GI Joe cartoon will be called Renegades and look similar to TFA, so yeah it's highly stylized. Although Hasbro's confirmed the Renegades toys won't look stylized like the show.

So that's kind of what I hope happens with Prime. Arcee for example might make a interesting toy in Classics/G1 style.

Of course I don't much like Naruto, but I still think there's a pretty unique style there.

All the charachters are very streamlined, faces are kind of square, squinty eyes... It's on the level of Transformers Prime anyways.

All of those designs, save for Baroness and Destro, look really uninspired to me. ESPECIALLY the Joes, they've totally stripped most of them of personality in their outfits, IMO. Snake-Eyes, sadly, as I am getting older is getting less cool to me...

Haven't seen the clip from USAToday as i live in the UK, but what i have seen of this is it is gash!!!
Also thought this was a 5 year plan or something silly, yet they say in the clip i watched a '5 part mini-series'!!!!!!!
So guessing if this bombs brush it aside, next project?

Why no toyline? Did Hasbro not say at one point that the TV shows are just ads for toys!!!!!!!!

Still waiting on that 3 season TFA Boxset... Hasbro!

Starscream's design screams female to me. It looks like they went for a more Loki-esque feel than Starscream. Close to the same character but very different in some ways.

Sadly, no toyline. Probably because the robot modes were to intricate to transform into vehicles. :-(

After the way they managed to make toys out of the even more fiddly movie robot modes, I highly doubt that that is the reason.
