Yeah, so we just need to wait for the other one to surface.
Still, I can't help but wonder why they got pushed back.

As for "Chief Woodrow", who knows.
I just hope that they don't count the two skipped episodes as part of the 26-episode count for season 3.

Maybe for this one they wanted it to air in the winter for the holiday season, but couldn't do so in its proper airing placement. Like how "Walk on the Wild Side" first aired out of order to fall on Earth Day.Nemesis Primal wrote:Flashwave wrote:Well, there's one S2 ep

Episode 57 -
The episode starts already with the Bots aboard the Sigma in space in the past.
This opening with the Bots receiving a distress call from their ship and going after it has a very Star Trek feel to it.
The original command Heatwave would give before coming to Earth was "Rescue Bots, power to the rescue!"
The giant space slug-like creature that attacked the wrecked ship is an energon eater.
The Bots are telling Cody a story about what happened in the past.
Full version of the theme song.
Boulder claims to not have believed that energon eaters were real, thinking they were only the stuff of stories. Blades feels that that might be if no one's lived to about encountering one.
The Sigma has a cloaking shield.
According to Boulder, once an energon eater gets a scent, it never stops hunting its prey. And Chase states that the creature is said to smell flowing energon.
Since the ship can't get its velocity drive up and running quick enough, the bots have no choice but to mask their energon flow by going into stasis, which will freeze their energon into a solid state. They have to shut down the ship as well, since it also runs on flowing energon. Heatwave programs the Sigma to restart once it gets a Priority Prime message, which he suspects will be sent by Cybertron as soon as they miss their check-in.
And the energon eater has let them go. However, they failed to answer the wrecked ship's distress call.
Next thing they knew, their ship was headed for Earth.
Well, the flashback ended pretty early in the episode.
The river's rising and has flooded most of the town.
Mr. Levy's about to go over the falls.
Heh, Mister Pettypaws's jaw dropped when seeing the tidal wave.
As Chase regretted failing to heed the call of the wrecked ship in the past, so to does he regret failing to stop the town from being flooded.
Chase is trying to contact the damaged ship from back then. And it somehow responds!
Chase and Boulder are going into space to find the ship and help it. Heatwave and Blades remains on Earth to continue the mission Optimus assigned to them on Earth.
Blades is filling in for Chase for Chief Burn's patrol.
Heatwave's "helping" Graham with "fixing" some equipment and with Graham's Gremsky Tech homework.
After all this time, even more space wrecks have turned up in the same area that the original was in.
Boulder's found the ship's captain's log: "No one responded to our distress call. The ship has malfunctioned beyond repair. All my crew escaped in survival pods. I am taking what cargo I can and abandoning this vessel. End log."
The timestamp on the log shows that it was made long before the Bots received the ship's emergency call.
All this time, it was the energon eater sending the distress call, by feeding energon from its tail into the ship's computer, allowing the message to keep being sent and luring other vessels into its trap.
"Power Up and Energize!" - Chase and Boulder use all new palm-held rocket thrusters.
The energon eater sucked the Sigma's power core dry.
Chase: "You are under arrest for energon theft! And general unpleasantness."
Did Chase just... drive in space?!
Capturing the creature, they drain its stolen energon to re-power the ship.
Whoa, what? They actually delivered the creature to Optimus? Where is that place that Optimus is at?
Lacey Chabert -- Woman
Maurice LaMarche -- Voice
Jason Marsden -- Fisherman
Not exactly the most descriptive names, huh?
This was pretty cool, letting us get to see what was going on with Sigma-17 before coming to Earth. The energon eater proved to be both a monstrous and, surprisingly, cunning creature. Though, it did raise a few other questions that weren't answered. Like, what caused the river to flood the town in the first place? And just where exactly did Chase and Boulder deliver the energon eater to Optimus? And how long ago did the Sigma go into stasis, exactly? How does this affect the overall timeline? Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but some things in it needed more clarification.

Episode 58 -
Did Huxley just refer to the hurricane as "Hurricane Opie"? Is that another reference to The Andy Griffith Show?
Doc previously sent Graham, Cody, and Boulder over to the Island of Misfit Tech to retrieve a replacement stabilizier for Doc's damaged one. That don't sound good at all.
The stabilizer should be in a de-barker that Doc discarded to the island after it tried to shred his lab coat with him still in it.
The three had to be sent to retrieve the stabilizer since Doc couldn't beam back just the stabilizer by itself. All that came back was the retrieval tag, which much have fallen off. Graham notices that several tags had fallen off, but they've no time to look into that right now since they need to get back.
Vigil was aware of the three visitors being nearby and transferred its energy into the stabilizer.
Full theme song.
One of the lab's satellite dishes collapsed onto the lab's roof.
The dome is activated. Griffin Rock is now protected, and the atmosphere generator will provide them with clean air at 70 degrees.
Frankie's remote control rocket is out of control.
Ever the humble man, Mayor Luskey has christened the dome as the "Mayor Luskey Dome" (sidenote, does he even have a first name besides "Mayor"?) and has accepted full credit for its success.
Vigil's now transferred his energy from the stabilizer into the control panel's console. Is he some sort of energy ghost now?
Doc tries to retract the dome until the next time it's needed, but Vigil takes control and denies Doc his access to the controls.
During his exile, Vigil learned how to transfer his programming into other devices, and is the one responsible for all of the retrieval tags falling off. But, how did he learn to do that? Is such a thing even possible for manmade, non-supernatural tech?
Vigil claims to have corrected the error in his programming that Cody had pointed out to him last time, but Vigil won't retract the dome since it increases the island's protection by 82%. He's also resynthesized the air molecules produced by the atmosphere generator into a sleeping vapor.
Doc, Chief, and Dani all succumb to the sleeping vapor, while the others manage to make it inside the Bots in time.
Wait, Blades says that he breathes air. What?
Vigil has jumped into the little cement mixing bot and shielded the console with cement.
"Power Up and Energize!" - Boulder's using a jackhammer that kinda looks like the one that comes with Bumblebee's Energize mini-figure.
Everyone in town is asleep. Though, the Mayor is sleep-eating ice cream.
Frankie has given code names to Blades ("Sky Hawk") and Chase ("Blue Ninja").
Vigil keeps jumping around since he can only control one device at a time.
Vigil's in the Robo-Baby from season 1.
Did Kade say that they'd cut Vigil off at Lake "Streak"?
Boulder got through the cement, but the whole system overheated when it was covered.
Doc's secret password is "Doc".
Vigil has one more task to complete before Griffin Rock can be deemed "permanently safe", and transfers into a garbage truck bot to get away.
Vigil seems unable to jump between devices that are far apart from each other, as he only seems to jump when he's close enough to another device. And he's heading somewhere specific in the east.
Wait, the lab that the dome was activated from isn't Doc's lab, but some other facility. Doc's lab is where Vigil seems to be heading, as Graham states that the dome has another set of controls there.
Frankie spots Vigil in a construction site at Pynch Square, where he's jumped into a brick device that shoots Blades down.
Vigil's now in a motorcycle, heading west. Boulder and Graham will head him off by cutting through Sloan Field.
In the scrapyard, Vigil uses a Scrapmaster to bury Heatwave and Boulder under a mountain of old cars.
Frankie has Dither seal all entrances to the lab.
Vigil's possessed Dither, and blasts Chase and Blades with a Collision Foam Cannon.
Heh, Blades complains about the ubiquity of the foam cannons.
Cody grabbed Frankie's rocket, but had to sacrifice himself to the sleeping gas to do so.
Frankie likewise sacrificed her consciousness to trick Vigil into entering her rocket, which she sent flying out of the lab (but, shouldn't Vigil have taken control upon entering it?).
The rocket crashed in the EMP zone at Griffin Crest. That's a LONG ways away reach in a very short time. Still, is seems to have killed Vigil. The first onscreen death in this show, even if it was for an artificial intelligence.
And at last, Blades has Dither retract the dome.
Everyone's awakened, Mr. Harrison's about to puke, the Mayor's covered in food, and Heatwave and Boulder finally find the strength to free themselves from the car pile.
Well, that was a quick ending.
This episode was non-nutritional, non-educational, and a complete waste of time for anyone looking to learn something academic or moralistic. And that's just the way we like it! This was a Saturday morning cartoon, plain and simple. A good old-fashioned suspense thriller with action and conflict short of throwing a full on malevolent villain into the mix. One big chase scene involving relatively high stakes. Vigil proves once more how competent he is in his extremism and single-mindedness, even if he does so in a manner that borderlines on the suspension of disbelief. I mean, really, how did he gain that energy ghost ability? Still, though, twas good.

Episode 59 -
Graham's constructed a water slide for the local pool.
New girl in town. Name's Amy. She's an engineer, is impressed with Graham's slide, and has rendered Graham as babbling a mess as Eugene Meltsner.
Chief's got a call from Barney (his deputy). Morocco's gone (that was quick). Luckily, there's a GPS tracker in Morocco's cuffs.
They got Morocco back easily (a bit too easily), but failed to notice that he had placed a letter in the mailbox he was next to.
Short version of the theme.
They put Morocco into a special high tech super reinforced cell built by Doc this time.
There's a monkey running loose downtown, who caused Jerry to crash his truck shipment of bananas.
Turns out the monkey belongs to Amy. Its name is Tesla. I'm betting its voiced by Frank Welker.
Kade is gonna school Graham on how to behave around girls. This can't end well.
Boulder can smell Kade's cologne, "Man's Smell".
Barney's made another call about Morocco. The doctor's still in his cell, but now has an ant farm. Huh?
I think Jeff Bennett has finally gotten the hang of his Don Knotts impression. Sounds better here than it ever did.
Kade's plan to get Graham with Amy doesn't go very well.
Of all the Bots, it's Heatwave who gives Graham the most helpful advice of playing his strengths, which is for Graham is science, and let that do the talking for him.
Morocco has reconstructed both the jail's electric fan and radio into a vocal-based command device that he uses to sonically control the ants, ordering them to head towards Doc Green's lab.
Doc's been studying Morocco's MorBot.
The ants have stolen the MorBot's power pod and have reconnected it to the MorBot's head.
Using science, Graham's created his own scent of cologne, which a surprised Kade finds awesome. It works molecularly, able to make people like Graham, making him feel confident, hence his naming it "Confident Me".
Emergency call from Mr. Pfeiffer. Fire at the bakery.
Something chewed through the oven.
Morocco's MorBot is busting him out of jail.
Huxley likes Graham's scent.
An ant hurt Boulder, to the confusion of everyone.
Before departing, Morocco nabs the Vern device from the nearby Chamber of Youth.
As he tries to get away in his MorBot, Morocco orders his ant army to attack the Bots. The reason they can harm the Bots is because they are a rare mutant breed of marabunta army ants whose bite contains folic acid that can eat through metal.
Morocco has ordered his ants to eat all the metal they can found, so the team is stuck having to choose to either spend the day battling Morocco or save their town from ruin.
Dani and Blades will keep an eye on Morocco while the others stop the ant swarm, which is devouring everything downtown.
Doc suspects that Morocco's ant commanding transmitter, if it uses radio waves, might be sending out electronic versions of pheromones. Since ants can't talk, they use smells to communicate over distance.
Cody suspects Graham's cologne might be able to stop the ants. Yep, it's as silly as it sounds.
The MorBot's left the island and Dani & Blades lost it in a cloud bank.
Some ants got onboard the MorBot and are eating both it and Morocco's command device. The robot has crashed into the sea with the doctor still inside it.
The ants are eating the water slide, but Amy and the Bots got all the swimmers away in time. Too bad for the slide, though.
The cologne is delivered by Blades and is able to attract the ants all the way to Doc's lab, where they are trapped back into their ant farm.
Much to Kade's disappointment, Graham got rid of his cologne since it's dangerous to play with pheromones.
Graham never needed the cologne anyway. Heatave sprayed him earlier, so his confidence he showed when saving everyone at the pool earlier came from himself.
Graham musters the courage to ask Amy to see the final blueprints of the slide.
Chief wishes they had caught Morocco, since he fears they haven't seen the last of him.
Out at sea, Morocco tries to row the remains of his MorBot (which is still being torn apart by the ants). Things are looking pretty grim for him.
Voice cast
Amy -- Hynden Walch
Doctor Morocco -- still Greg Ellis
Tesla isn't credited, but it sounded just like Frank Welker's Abu voice.
This episode wasn't bad, but was pretty simple. A basic "villain tries to escape confinement" story with some diversionary tactics thrown into the mix. Morocco's plan was sorta sound on paper, but also a bit farfetched (then again, this is Griffin Rock, where stuff like this happens 24/7). Though, it wound up backfiring on him in the end, leaving him stranded at sea. However, we also got some more focus on Graham, who doesn't get as much as the others. And we got a new love interest for him, which gives one to every member of the main human cast (Kade/Hayley, Dani/Taylor, Graham/Amy, Chief/Carin, Doc/Baranova, and if you want to imagine their future, Cody/Frankie). Overall, not bad, simple, but charming enough.

Does anyone else find it surprising that they dropped the dinosaur stuff after the firs two episodes of the season and haven't acknowledged it since? Particularly since they showed dino modes for Heatwave, Blades, and Chase at SDCC.

However, Quarry's supposed to return later this season, so maybe his resurfacing might warrant some more Primal Mode appearances.

I gotta admit, it is a little bothersome how bad this show is at advertising its toyline. It barely acknowledges anything beyond the four main characters' original toys and their Energize tool figures. The MHQ, Prime's Rescue Trailer, and now both his and Boulder's Primal Modes have all fallen by the wayside. And being hand drawn with a small amount of CGI, instead of being fully CGI, doesn't give it the same excuse that Beast Wars and Beast Machines had.Nemesis Primal wrote:Does anyone else find it surprising that they dropped the dinosaur stuff after the firs two episodes of the season and haven't acknowledged it since? Oh man, I forgot about the MHQ. Shouldn't it at least be in the garage somewhere in the background? Heatwave's boat mode at least sees occasional use, so that's at least something, but still, the rest is kinda embarrassing.

However, Quarry's supposed to return later this season, so maybe his resurfacing might warrant some more Primal Mode appearances.

We got two episodes this time instead of one, and the first of which is one of the two skipped season 2 episodes.
Episode 46 -
Note to self, this episode is set between the one where Heatwave first got his boat mode and the one with the Power Planter that ran amok.
Blades has spotted snow on the ground where it shouldn't be. Chief suspects Doc's been using a weather machine again, while Chase worries if Dr. Morocco's been using one again as well (since he did use one in episode 45). But it turns out that the snow is just Mr. Hooten decorating with fake snow for a Griffin Rock-exclusive holiday called Midwinter Morning.
Short theme song.
The stack of logs that crashed on top of Mrs. Neederlander's car was meant for a bonfire for Midwinter Morning, which Kade doesn't see the point of since barely anyone ever shows up for it.
The history of Midwinter Morning involved a terrible winter storm called the Great Nor'easter of 1713 that had buried Griffin Rock deep in snow, trapping its residents in their homes. Supply ships couldn't make the voyage, and food ran out with no way for replenishment. One night, a mysterious visitor slipped unnoticed into every home, and left bread in the empty pantries. His identity was never learned, and thereafter became known as the Rider of Midwinter.
Chase: "Clearly, this rider kept his identity a secret for fear of being arrested as a tresspasser." -- LOL!
These days, people give gifts on Midwinter Morning to honor the rider for his good deeds. And what's more is that everyone still finds bread on their doorstep every Midwinter Morning, as someone else is carrying on the tradition started by the rider. But nobody know who the present day benefactor is either.
The bonfire grew from back when the townspeople lit a fire to keep warm after the 1713 blizzard ended.
Speaking of winter weather, a winter storm has come.
The ferry lost its cargo in the storm. Though crewman Mario was saved from drowning, no presents on Midwinter Morning, much to the townpeople's disappointment.
Emergency call from Mrs. Neederlander, who's up at her cabin on the mountain. She needs ALL of the Burnses up there, but the mountain road's iced over. However, the team's heading up in the MHQ!
Mrs. Neederlander brought them up to her place so that they could deliver fresh loaves of bread to the whole town. She's the mysterious present day Rider of Midwinter!
Before her, it was Old Man Delgado. Before him, it was Mrs. Crabtree. Mrs. Neederlander's been the current Rider for the last 49 years.
Riders of Midwinter, roll to the rescue!
AN INSERT SONG!!! THE SECOND ONE IN THE SERIES!!!
"Power up and Energize!" -- Though he speaks no lines when powering it up, Heatwave uses his twin-water cannons as a flamethrower to melt a mound of snow.
He then uses it again to lit the bonfire.
Mrs. Neederlander has decided to retire from being the Rider of Widwinter, and has official passed the torch on to the Burns family; an honor they accept.
Mario isn't credited in the voice cast.
Clint Black performed "Light The Fire"
Like Heatwave said, this episode was about internal combustion, and boy was there a lot of it. I was expecting some cheery holiday special with a bit of cheese and maybe some laughs here and there, but what we got was way better. This episode showed us a side to Mrs. Neederlander we'd never seen before, adding a lot more depth to her character. At first, she's set up to be something like the town's Grinch, but turns out to be its equivalent of Father Christmas himself. And though the episode's message of "giving over getting" was nothing new, it was pulled off in a manner that didn't try to force it upon us in any annoying manner, and charmed us with innocence and sincerity rarely found in a modern holiday special aimed at kids in a medium meant to sell toys. And, as always, the addition of an insert song (and darn good one at that) is always a welcome addition.
Episode 60 -
Giant chess game!
Kade's got a killer cavity and his dentist can't see him until tomorrow.
Ha! Boulder's trying to learn tap-dancing.
Emergency call from Frankie. Doc is being forced into the air and crashing into his walls and ceiling.
Short theme song.
Doc's newest invention, an anti-gravity patch, is the source of his predicament. Every time he tries to reach it (it's on his back), it sends him flying in another direction.
"Power Up and Energize!" -- Heatwave's using a grappling magnet to grab Doc.
Doc was using the patch to work on a device so delicate that it requires zero-gravity assembly. But he'll have to assemble it the old-fashioned way, now... by going into space!
Doc's inviting everyone to join him aboard the Asgard up the space elevator. They'll make it a picnic. Graham declines, though, having been up there before and not enjoying it.
The device Doc's working on is a Binary Diagnostic Link designed especially for medical research. Connect both the doctor and patient to each end of the device, and the doctor can feel exact what the patient is feeling, allowing caregivers to more accurately diagnose and treat their patients.
The music playing during the zero gravity scene is like the kind played in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
The device has to operated on in space because of the crystal powering it being very delicate. Any friction or sudden movement during operation could cause the device to work improperly.
Incoming nebula approaching the Asgard.
The Asgard's air filtration system has been compromised by the nebula. Graham's bringing it down before it runs out of air. The hydrogen and carbon particles of the nebula must have gotten inside somehow.
Since the emergency oxygen compartment is only big enough for two, Chief and Doc get inside it while the others take shelter inside the Bots. However, Doc's crystal is still exposed to the air during reentry.
Aaaaand, it's not just everyone's personalities that have switched, but their minds too. Kade & Heatwave, Dani & Blades, Chief & Doc, Chase & Frankie, and Boulder & Cody.
The nebula particles affected the BDL crystal and switched everyone around.
The humans-in-bot-bodies and bots-in-human-bodies doing opposite things are hilarious!
Emergency call while everyone's still switched. This should be fun.
Cody-in-Boulder's-body accidentally dented the water tower, and Dani-in-Blades'-body stirred up the fire more.
Graham to the rescue! He put out the fire and got everyone out.
Heatwave-in-Kade's-body saw the dentist, Dr. Bieber, who thinks Kade should get a new dentist.
They have to go back into space and recreate the switcheroo to undo it. However, the water tower's threatening to collapse on top of some hikers, and near the spaceport as well. If it falls and harms the spaceport, the mission will have to be scrubbed, and the nebula will be gone by then.
"Power Up and Energize!" -- Kade-in-Heatwave's-body is using the claw that came with Chase's toys.
Cody-in-Boulder's-body dug a ditch to stop the water from reaching the Asgard.
Up in space, Doc-in-Chief's-body instructs Chief-in-Doc's-body on how to handle the crystal to reverse the switch just before the nebula drifts away. And it works.
Maurice LaMarche -- Dr. Bieber
None of the civilians Graham saved are credited
Okay, I was expecting something silly from this one, and every time I expect something silly, this show delivers on the hilarity ten-fold. Seeing everyone act like each other was a joy to watch, and you really gotta admire the acting props of these people when trying to emulate each other's behavior and mannerisms. Though, Maurice LaMarche as Doc did sound a bit more like a Jim Cummings impression at times, but he gave it his all just like the others. So many times in this episode did we get some great laughs all around, and at the same time, this episode also didn't shy away from how serious the situation could be when it nearly compromised the rescue mission. I just love how the writing of this show can simultaneously be so unashameably nutty while treating its audience with a respectful adherence to our intelligence.

Episode 61 -
Doc's testing out Dither's new bio-electric chip, which is malfunctioning and causing him to steal toasters. First Doc's, then the mayor's, and now it's heading towards Baranova's place.
Full theme song.
Baranova stopped Dither by simply acceptig his offer of toast, and then shutting him off while he's distracted.
The chip malfunctioned due to it being covered in bacteria. Strange thing is, it was built in the Clean Room, which is sealed off from all forms of foreign contaminants.
Time to whip out the Scrub Mites, microscopic cleaning robots programmed to seek out and consume all bacteria, completely sanitizing any area that they're in.
Turns out Doc left his breakfast donut in the Clean Room by accident. It's covered in the same bacteria as the bio-electric chip.
Kade being Kade just grabbed the donut and, having just arrived at the lab only after Doc explained about the Scrub Mites, ate it.
And now he's got some painful hiccups.
Doc's missing six Scrub Mites.
As expected, the missing Scrub Mites are inside Kade.
The mites are likely doing some serious damage to Kade's body by eating the good bacteria in his body. There's no way to shut them off, their batteries are long-lasting, and the recall signal can't penetrate human tissue. And they keep moving, so surgery is out.
Using the Minimizer to shrink down, Chief, Graham, and Dani will ride inside the Bots, who will pilot the Sigma, and enter Kade's body via another eaten donut. Doc and the two kids will keep in touch with the rest of the Team with the ComTab.
"Power Up and Energize!" -- contrary to Heatwave's order for stealth, Blades uses a cannon that fires a capture net.
Since the team was shrunk down a little smaller than they planned to be, the three mites that were in Kade's stomach are too big to fit inside the ship, so they must be fitting to its exterior instead.
The remaining three mites are near Kade's spine.
The first three mites are trying to break free of the ship.
Electric brain pulses are shooting off bursts of energy in the vicinity of the Bots. It's due to the mites eating the myelin sheath off of Kade's nerves.
"Power Up and Energize!" -- Chase is using the claw his toy comes with.
And Blades is using the net cannon again.
One of the mites slammed Blades into a nerve, zapping and injuring him. And now Kade can't feel his legs either.
They got all six of the mites, but the mites are eating through the ship.
The ship has stopped en route to Kade's head. They must have eaten through the ignition panel.
They need an electrical jump to restart the ship. Kade can provide an electric pulse by moving his foot, but he still can't feel his feet.
But, after a little insult, er, I mean reinforcement from Heatwave, Kade finds the strength and will to move his foot, thus sending the electric pulse necessary to repower the ship.
The mites are starting to break free, but thankfully, the ship has reach Kade's nasal cavity, and Kade claims he can sneeze on command.
"Power Up and Energize!" -- Heatwave uses a grapple to snag the one Scrub Mite that almost got away.
Once out of Kade's body, Frankie recalled the Scrub Mites back to their canister.
Ship's back in its hangar and de-shrunk to full size. And according to Doc, Kade's fine.
Doc's got an "experiment" (over dinner) with Baranova, much to Frankie's dismay.
Another decent episode. Since I've never seen Fantastic Voyage, this ep reminded more of certain episodes of The Magic School Bus, only with a greater level of danger for both the body and its guests. Of course, it was obvious that no one was going to die or get seriously injured, but the journey itself was still engaging enough, and even had some things happen that I didn't see coming. Like, Kade's legs becoming immobilized at one point, or Blades being electrocuted by the brain pulse, or even the brain pulses themselves. In fact, the brain pulses being depicted as unpredictable bolts of lightning seemed to me to be more scary than the "evil brain pulses" seen inside Megatron's body in the G1 cartoon episode "Microbots". One could even consider this episode to be like a modern update of that episode's story, but with a less black-and-white notion of good and evil. Whereas the threats inside Megatron's body were obviously wicked, those inside Kade's were of no moral allegiance and far more predictable. And with the host body being one of the heroes, those on the inside had to do their best to avoid harming their friend from within, making their trek all the more challenging. Overall, while the end result was obvious, the steps leading up to it were enjoyable as they were.

Episode 62 -
Baranova's on a fishing trip with Frankie and Doc, the latter of whom is testing out his "laser slice cubes" and also trying to get Frankie and Baranova more interested in each other.
*GASP* WE FINALLY KNOW DOC'S FIRST NAME!!!!! It's Ezra!
Using Heatwave (whom Doc brought along for the trip) to get away, he leaves the two girls alone to let them get better acquainted, only for a mayday alert to come through on the radio. However, something's interfering with both the signal and Frankie's holocomm. So the two have to go after the SOS by themselves.
Quarry's the one who sent the SOS, it was a trap.
Short theme song.
The trap was meant for Doc.
Quarry's captured Baranova, but Frankie was hidden well enough for the Q-Drone to miss her.
Meanwhile's Doc's completely oblivious to the others' predicament, happily making the perfect mustard back at his lab.
Quarry's sent a Q-Drone to project a hologram of himself at Doc's lab.
Quarry believes Doc to have created the "robotic dinosaurs" and the "giant bots", thankfully oblivious to their true nature. Thus, Quarry blames Doc for the damage done to Quarry's island and business, and demands that Doc build three more robot dinosaurs and return the other two from before. Five dinos should cover the debt and rebuild his business. Once he has the five, he'll let Baranova go. Doc has 12 hours to comply and must come alone.
There's no data on where Quarry's island is located.
A wild Optimus had appeared!
Chief called Prime to come after they heard that this was a problem involving "dinobots".
Prime proposes that he and Boulder offer themselves to Quarry in their dino forms, and then rescue the ladies from Quarry once they reach the island.
Since they need five dinobots, Heatwave and Chase volunteer scan dino forms, while Blades is convinced through peer pressure. Though, he ha to scan a flying form, much to his chagrin. And Energon patches are placed on the three to keep them from going crazy.
"Rescue Bots, scan and transform!"
Heatwave scans an apatosaurus (that breathes water), Chase a stegosaurus (with an electric tail), and Blades a pterodactyl... but he fails to transform. Into any form. He fears that the process messed up his T-Cog.
Cody tries to look inside Blades' cockpit to see if anything came loose, but then Quarry arrive to pick up his five dinos. Since Blades can't transform, he has to hide and Doc will have to make up an excuse about the missing fifth dino. Cody's still inside Blades, but he'll get out when Quarry leaves.
Doc explains that fifth dino is incomplete, so Quarry decides to take Doc and the unfinished dinobot (Blades, hiding under a tarp) to the island so that Doc can finish it there. Since Blades was taken, Cody didn't get a chance to get out.
Quarry plans to sell the dinos and rebuild his big game business off the profits.
Cody tried to contact Frankie with his comlink as soon as they arrived on the island, but Quarry's jamming all communication signals.
Quarry's testing the dinobots' abilities.
Frankie found Baranova and tried to save her, but instead tripped the laser sensors and got herself trapped inside with the prof. Fortunately, Baranova had already disabled the external alarm, so Frankie's security breach hadn't drawn any unwanted attention.
Graham's pinpointed where Quarry's island might be based on where Cody's comlink last ceased its transmitting.
Baranova says that she had lived under the sea for 28 years.
With Optimus buried, the others have to pretend to fight each other to work their way over to Optimus and save him without Quarry noticing their true intentions.
Quarry's used this demonstration to auction the dinobots off to the highest bidder, and uses his Amber Drone to cease their fighting and put them into a stasis field.
Quarry's preparing to have the dinobots shipped off, and is reevaluating the terms of Doc's release.
Frankie and Anna use the former's holocomm to trick the Q-Drones and escape.
Doc used Quarry's equipment to build some heat-seeking goggles to find the ladies.
Blades reveals his true self to Anna. Welcome to the team, professor.
Blades finally transforms! Into his dino mode! He disables the Amber Drone and frees the others, who take out Quarry and his Q-Drones.
Quarry attempts to get away but the Darby Ava pulls in just in time. Quarry is arrested and locked inside the boat.
Anna and Optimus have a full introduction to each other.
This episode... I knew it was gonna be cool with Quarry coming back and the other Bots getting dino modes, but having Baranova not only included but also getting in on the Bots' secret was the icing on an already delicious cake. A big game changer episode (in more ways that one, lol) that had a lot going for it and just kept getting better. This is how you combine excellent character-driven writing with a need to advertise toys, along with multiple turning points in the greater story, and make it all work. Now the Bots all have dino forms, Baranova's part of the team, she and Frankie are on good terms with each other, and Quarry's been defeated (until further notice). What's more is that this episode also put in some little things that make us ponder about the much larger continuity of the series, such as when the series takes place (28 years after Project: Midgard) or who Quarry's client was (MECH is possible, but slim).

You know, I kinda hope they leave it ambiguous, just this once. Although I'd not be surprised if it was Madeline, or maybe the Doc Moroc using him as ususpecting muscle. But I prefer the "Ambiguous".
When's the Next Ep slagging fragit!?

It just so happens that the second missing episode from season 2, "Chief Woodrow", will be airing on Sunday, January 18th, at 7:00am (between reruns of the two season episodes it was meant to be in between). I guess the reason they held back this one didn't come to pass, and so decided to just let it air in its proper placement during the season 2 reruns.
As for the next episode of season 3, "Did You See What I Thaw?" is somehow already available to watch right now on Amazon Instant Video, when it's not due to air on TV until February 28th.
The following are the names and descriptions for all upcoming episodes:
Episode 48 (season 2 skipped episode): "Chief Woodrow"
During Griffin Rock's biggest tourist event, oddball Uncle Woodrow is in charge of the Burns family while Chief is out of town.
Episode 63: "Did You See What I Thaw?"
The Bots discover a caveman preserved in ice and attempt to help him adjust to modern life.
Episode 64: "The Attack of Humungado"
Monsters from Kade's favorite movie materialize; it's up to the Dino Bots to corral the Kaiju.
Episode 65: "Thieves Like Us"
The Bots must contend with thieving miniature souvenir replicas of themselves.
Episode 66: "Time After Time"
A renovated clock tower causes Cody to relive the same morning over and over.

Episode 63 -
The team is investigating an energon signal on Wayward Island that Optimus contacted them to look into. It's located inside an ice cave.
One of the walls has cave painting on it.
Cody's found something glowing.
It's a man fully encased in ice. The center stone on his tribal necklace is what's glowing.
It's brought back to Doc, who deduces it being from the Neo-Paleolithic Period.
Cody saw the man's finger move. And Dani saw his toe twitch. They're not wasting any time getting to the point where they find him still alive.
Doc deduces that the subzero temperatures interacting with the energon shard on the man's necklace must have put him into suspended animation.
The newly-awoken caveman is at first frightened by his new surroundings, but then lovingly embaces the Bots' legs when he sees them.
Something about the Bots' presence seems to calm the man.
They lend the man some of Kade's clothes.
Since the man can't speak English, the team names him Ira, based on one of his grunts sounding like that.
They attempt to use TV to educate Ira, but a meteor shown striking Earth on the screen upsets Ira enough to send him running. Luckily, the energon around his neck makes him easy to track.
Mayor Luskey is personally escorting Mrs. Dumont, who is one of the benefactors to the island's scientific community.
And thanks to Ira, they've crashed their car and are trapped in a fire.
This time, Heatwave shoots fire retardant out of his knuckle cannons, instead of water, to put out the fire.
Mrs. Dumont is thinking of making a contribution to the new Luskey wing at the museum, so the Mayor doesn't want any more incidents to put a damper on her visit.
Ira's inside the museum, drawn their by a large poster with an image of a mammoth on it.
Ira is depressed by the sight of the caveman exhibit. Boulder manages to persuade Ira into coming with him back to Doc's lab.
Heatwave and Blades head back to Wayward Island to look for more energon.
An unexpected visit to the lab by the Mayor and Mrs. Dumont forces everyone to hide Ira in a closet.
Ira breaks out of the closet, wearing a labcoat. Doc claims him to be a fellow colleague, "Dr. Ira". As for why he's grunting, Doc, Frankie, and Cody claim he's from another country, but I can't make out what its name is (Cody seems to have made it up on the spot). I think he might have said "Fredonia".
Mrs. Dumont is so impressed by "Dr. Ira" that she requests he attend the fundraiser banquet being held that evening. Chief attempts to get Ira out of it, but the Mayor absolutely insists that they do as Mrs. Dumont wishes.
Back at the cave, Heatwave and Blades discover more cave drawings, this time depicting Autobots.
The team's getting Ira all dressed up for the occasion, fancy suit and all.
Heatwave shows the others their findings, and deduce that Ira must have known the Autobots in the paintings. Ira tries to tell them something, which they think means that Ira was saved by those Autobots from a meteor shower in the past, and gave him the energon amulet he wears. Heatwave thinks Ira might know where more energon is, but first, the mayor's dinner awaits.
Ira's bad manners are seen as charming, exotic behavior at the party, but the event's fireworks scare him off.
Ira's scaling the radio tower. He thinks the fireworks are meteors and is trying to protect his family: The team.
The top of the tower's breaking under Ira's weight. But Blades and Boulder got him.
Since Ira's so dangerous and unpredictable, it is decided to let him live on Wayward Island where he can be safe and away from causing trouble.
Boulder tries to ask Ira where more energon is, but Ira responds by drawing in the dirt a picture of a hill, trees and himself waving.
While there doesn't appear to be any more energon right now, they figure that more might turn up in time as the ice caves continue to thaw.
BUT... There IS something else in the cave. What looks like some sort of pod or spacecraft!
Jason Marsden voiced "Caveman Ira"
Jeff Bennett voiced Mrs. Dumont
This episode had a premise that has been seen before in other shows, such as The Powerpuff Girls and The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. And frankly, while there wasn't anything inherently wrong with this one, it was kinda bland and uninteresting overall. It's like they started off with wanting to tackle the "caveman in the present" concept at first, but then didn't know what to do with it. Sure, they had Ira do a few things, but nothing that hadn't already been done before and not very funny either. It mostly played itself safe this time around, rather trying for something more impressive. Whereas the aforementioned examples of other shows that did this thing either had the caveman be a mad criminal or being a crazed Fred Flintstone! Here, Ira didn't so much as even roar at all. The only thing this episode had going for it was the search for the energon, which proved fruitless, and the craft reveal at the end. It wasn't a bad episode, just a little boring.

This morning, a Sunday morning, the 48th episode of Transformers: Rescue Bots aired on Discovery Family. Why it aired on a Sunday morning instead of Saturday night is a bit of a tale. This episode is the second of two episodes (the first being episode 46, "The Riders of Midwinter") from season 2 that were skipped over in that season's original airing, held back to air at a later date. While episode 46 was purposely delayed to allow it to air on the weekend of Midwinter, this episode's reason for not airing in its proper placement has yet to be determined. We can only assume that whatever occasion it was held back for did not come to pass, as its airing this morning occurred during reruns of the other season 2 episodes that it's set between.
Episode 48 -
The tourist event is the Dolphin Wonder Festival. It's an event set up for tourists to see dolphins swim by the island.
Full theme song this time.
Pier 3 is collapsing with people on it due to the weight of Huxley's news van.
I'm betting a lot of these tourists haven't seen the Bots before.
Chief has to leave for a week to attend a Peace Officers Conference on the mainland. Doc and Frankie are also out of town. However, Chief had the foresight to ask someone else to keep an eye on... "things".
Enter Uncle Woodrow. On the "Old Jalopy" itself, which belonged to Woodrow's and Chief's father (grandpa of Chief's children).
Chase is taken aback a bit by Chief referring to the Old Jalopy as the "best car ever."
Woodrow wants to learn more about Cybertronians, their world and their culture, which Boulder would love to do.
Woodrow has been instructed to not participate in any rescue missions since he's "not official".
Since chase can't be seen driving without a driver, he's gonna walk home in robot mode and asks Cody to join him. But Cody's gonna ride with Woodrow in the Old Jalopy, much to Chase's chagrin.
And Woodrow parks the car in Chase's spot.
Woodrow's plans for dinner are Bait Tackle Louis, a little recipe he picked up in the Calliope Rainforest.
The mayor and Mr. Alper launch some beacons into the water to attract the dolphins in an attempt to keep them near the island all week, so as to build up tourism. However, the mayor's impatience and carelessness cause them to release too many and one gets inside the mayor's yacht, causing it to malfunction and run out of control.
Woodrow recalls a game Dani used to play with her toys when she was younger in order to inspire Dani to use Blades a ramp to launch the yacht into the air for the other Bots to catch.
For saving his life, the mayor is awarding Woodrow a medal. And until Chief returns, the mayor names Woodrow Temporary Acting Chief, much to Kade's dismay.
Woodrow was once made Honorary Tribal Leader for the Treepeople of Tatui.
Woodrow's wearing a police uniform.
Woodrow's trying to be useful, but the others don't need his help.
The beacons have headed up the river away from the sea, with the dolphins in pursuit.
Woodrow accidentally overheard the others making a joke about him. They tried to apologize, but he gets it and promises to stay out of the rescues.
The dolphins are stranded upstream in the wetlands. They won't survive there for much longer.
Cody and Chase insist that Woodrow come along since chase needs a driver.
Boulder is determined the most to save the dolphins.
The humans will get the beacons out of the water while the Bots will carry the dolphins out of the wetlands and back in the main river, which will carry them downstream back to the sea. However, as there's so many dolphins, the team is running out of time before the dolphins overheat.
Woodrow suggests they raise the water level of the wetlands by blocking off its two outlets, so that he can "convince" the dolphins to head back to the sea.
Woodrow attempts a dolphin call with a megaphone underwater to lure the dolphins out, but it doesn't work. However, the call he used worked in the Marshall Islands because the dolphins there were Pacific Whitesided Dolphins. What he needs to do is instead speak Atlantic Whitesided Dolphin. Sure enough, this time it works.
The dolphins jump over the Bots.
Chief's come home to homemade pizza. Guess it's now a week later.
And now it's time to say farewell to Uncle Woodrow.
None of the civilians who had background lines were credited.
This episode was a filler, having no affect on the greater storyline whatsoever. But, it was a GOOD filler. A very character-driven episode that focused on a guest character, here being Woodrow Burns. We got to see more of his personality and how he thinks, liking to recall events of the past to help solve problems in the present, and trying to be a mentor, advisor, and a pal to the rest of his family. Though his reputation for being unhinged to rules and regulations put him in a spot where the others didn't turn to him for assistance, the underlying theme of this episode was how first impressions shouldn't be the determining factor in how a person is. Woodrow came off as being goofball to his family, so that's all they took him for. But when worse came to worst, Woodrow proved his worth in the end by showing that has an accumulated knowledge of other places and that such seemingly trivial knowledge can come in handy in times of need. It was Woodrow's knowledge about the dolphins that ultimately saved the precious creatures from dying upstream, and hopefully this kind of usefulness and likeability will hopefully lead to more appearance from him.
