Via the Instagram account of Jose Lopez, the art director on Transformers: Robots in Disguise, we get a handful of concept shots of some of characters from the show. Other than Bumblebee, which we are now familiar with, Lopez showed off the newcomer (to the franchise and show) Windblade face studies, and a full body concept Optimus Prime with thundershoulders - check them our below to see what we mean by that!

Nice to see them, but Prime looked wonky! And Bee's design is pretty much identical to his final design, but what the hell is going on with that pose?

Looks like he is stepping to the side like his leg is broken, he might be shaking and twitching, kinda like he's been smoking, when a 'con chump punk points a finger like a stump, he'd tell them to step off, he's doing the hump.

The Transformers: Robots in Disguise line has been bringing together quite a few strands of the Transformers mythos, and the mystery behind new character Megatronus has yet to be cleared. We've heard of the Warrior class toy, we've seen both alt-mode and robot mode in the RID app - and now we have some screen caps featuring a battle between MEgatronus and Optimus Prime (who is also sporting a new body) in an upcoming episode of the show!

Whoa, not bad. Maybe Megatronus came to Earth to avenge his fallen master, and Optimus was chosen to stop him.

Maybe I need to start catching up with this show. Most of the episodes I've seen have just been much too childish for me. I don't hate it, but I don't exactly like it, either. But this First 13 stuff... that's what I like.

I`m so glad to see Optimus and Megatronus go against each other for the very first time. Does that mean that Megatron will finally reclaim his rightful place as he really should have, or is he? Also, as for Clampdown, is actually inspired by a Decepticon double agent named, Sideways, hence, the episode title?

anyone any idea what episode this is? all the episodes I have seen so far have been monster of the weekish I'm still waiting for the plot to kick off

Well, that makes me more hopeful for the series, glad to see Windblade is sticking around, hope she's a regular cast member now. Megatronus looks interesting, still not sure who he exactly is...

But the new look for Optimus is quite cool!

2 guesses:
1) That is Optimus in the after-life training with Megatronus "part of the 13" Megatronus for a rising threat.
2) Megatronus is the rising threat and Optimus is finally brought back to life to deal with him.
Plus, is that the Star Saber Optimus is holding?
