not sure how i feel about this. the last time they did this, it didn't work that well. robot mode feels really forced, with them having lots of uninspiring kibbles. i don't have much expectation, but won't diss it out this soon either. will see how it goes first before forming my opinion. that darth vader doesn't look that bad from that pic.

Compared to...
It is indeed a big improvement, but I'm not crazy about the wings hanging off his shoulders that way. It isn't really something I would buy anyway, but I do look forward to the final product.

Thinking more about it, I wonder if we'll get newer characters like Rey and K-2SO? I'd love to pick up those two especially if they turned out to be great figures.

Okay, a K-2SO Transformer, I would buy. Something feels a lot more natural about featuring robots in these Transformer crossover lines, and I like K-2SO's character and design so I'd probably be pretty tempted - assuming the figure's half-decent of course (which given Star Wars Transformers' track record prior to this revival, might be a bit of a toss-up).

I love starwars, but never bought one of the old crossover series, because well.. they were absolutely terrible.

Well, didn't see that coming. It's kind of cool though, my first Transformers were the X-Wing and TIE Advanced crossovers, so it's cool to see an updated design. I'd totally get an X-Wing transformer if they remade it.

Never liked the fact they transformed into star wars characters with their heads etc. Would have rather had original characters or TF characters transform into the SW vehicles.

Hoooooooooooraaaaaaaaaaaaay!! This is exactly what I need right now! Trying to pare down both collections, when I can just COMBINE them!! I always passed on the other crossover figures, the closest I was to purchasing one was the Anakin Skywalker/Republic Cruiser/Darth Vader/Star Destroyer 4-in-1. I kept seeing it at Marshall's for a nice markdown and always passed. Sort of have the regrets, it would face off against Cybertron supreme Starscream pretty well.

It was Takara before too. Takara always handles the engineering. Hasbro only deals with the design of the two modes. Also Takara's own designs arent always good. Like all those Go Combiners and Beast Wars Neo Shellformers.
Thats just the standard Legends Voyager price point, its the same as Broadside's MSRP: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail ... agecnt%3D1
Dont expect any MP level out of this.

The only SW Transformer I owned was the Darth Vader one that transformed into the Death Star. Not really all 'that' good. Not bad, but I mailed it to WIlliam-James88 with no regrets. The line could've been so much better and profitable. This is an easy pass for me.

Ok, first and foremost...that looks cool. 
Second, I admit the Cross-overs were hit and miss. 99% of the vehicle modes looked good, then they kinda fell apart in their alt modes. Once they transformed it was 1 out of 3 that looked good and worked well.
That being said... I think some of us adults get a little too uppity about such things. These are TOYS! The original idea of Transformers was to have two toys in one... That's what the Cross-overs are all about...even the Marvel ones. Some pulled it off better than others, but in the end they are toys to be played with.
Funny thing is, the Star Wars Cross-overs always reminded me of Spaceballs...they did it first lol. In the end, they don't have to make sense, they should shoot for cool designs and they should be fun. That's my two cents...
