The deals really vary from toy to toy so check out the website to get a better idea. There is also a subsequent deal where certain Rescue Bot toys are 50% off (see image below). Remember that you are also allowed to use the additional 10% off coupon that is still good until August 31st.

Why just TRU Canada? Why not TRU worldwide? Why do huge multinational corporations play favorites with sales and exclusive offerings?

Because the movie toys are overpriced in Canada and this is the only way to move them probably.
TRU Exclusive Megatron and Skullitron are 20$ in the US
They are 40$ each in Canada
So choose, overpriced toys and sales once in a while or constantly affordable toys?

So in other words this is not a real sale. This is a "sell the figures for what theyre actually worth everyhere else" sale. Its nice TRU gives collectors a break in countries where the cost of living is somewhat greedy. (in my opinion) But calling it a sale is a bit of an exaggeration because TRU chooses to sell the toys at Canadian exaggerated prices instead of the US equivalent in Canadian currency. Thats on them. The Canadian government isnt forcing them to sell deluxes at $40 a piece. They choose to do it because you guys are willing to pay for them at inflated prices. Same thing goes for Australia. TRU is an American company so their price equivalents should be "American" no matter what country. Obviously they take advantage of foreign collectors. If I go to a currency exchange and give them $20 USD for the equivalent in Canadian (or Australian) currency, would I have enough to buy a Skullitron in a TRU in those countries? If the answer is no, then that means TRU is raping collectors with no Vaseline.

I mean I agree that these toys should be evenly priced everywhere but that last comparison feels a little harsh, not to mention graphic.

Its a "sell the figures for the US MSRP sale", yes.
We are not willing to pay inflated prices. Target found that out the HARD way. This sale is proof that they only way we will buy those figures is if they are affodably priced. And Hasbro is well aware hence why they give out 20$ off coupons to canadians who spend more than 50$ on their products, or buy 2 get one free coupons. They know this is priced higher than it should be and the coupons are a way to counter that without having to change the pricing software atToysrus. At least thats what I think, the presence of coupons just now when prices are inflated cant be a coincidence.

Sometimes Canada gets toys early, like Titans Return Overlord, but many times we get them later and sometimes we get them very late or never. Titans Return Shuffler and Repugnus were the only wave 4 toys to not be found at big box retailers, until now. They were found by both Cybertron.ca users Dark Rage and Lioconvoy81 in Ontario Walmarts. Good luck with your hunt!

Gave up on trying to find a Repugnus at retail. Had to go 3rd party for my Monsterbot needs. Sorry Hasbro you blew with that team.

Just pointing out that TR Trypticon is available at 220$ instead of 230$ on Amazon.ca
https://www.amazon.ca/Transformers-Gene?tag=seibertron0b-20& ... ansformers
Eh, 10$ off is 10$ off. It count if you have Prime and can take the free shipping option.

You can order MP-10 Optimus Prime RIGHT NOW online at TrU.ca
http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp ... =130465626
Full price, yes, but better that than buying from filthy scalpers.

Canada and the US seem to alternate between what is found first in one country over the other, which is perpetually odd since they are neighbors (largest shared border between countries in the world) and have the same chains. But yet here is an example of the discrepancy.
The Wave 5 Titans Return voyagers, Blitzwing and Octone have finally been found in Canada, at an Ontario Walmart while Robots in Disguise Combiner Force Galvatronus, which is slated for an October release in the US, has also been found the same week.
The most sought after toy of the moment has also been found around the same time, Movie Masterpiece MPM 04 Optimus Prime. What is intriguing about this later one, found at Toysrus of course, is how reasonable the price is. MPM 03 Bumblebee, is $130 CDN, which is $105 USD (well above the US MSRP of $80), however MPM 04 Optimus Prime is also $130 CDN (so also $105 USD, much closer to it's $100 USD MSRP). And, this week until thursday, there is a sale on all Transformers above $24.99 CDN, meaning that one can purchase (or get a raincheck for) this Movie Masterpiece Optimus at $103.97 CDN (which is $84.29 USD)

What's the current status of raincheques at TRU? Last time I checked they put a stop to them...

$85 bucks for MPM Prime is a pretty good deal. Shame I'm stuck here in the US with no real TRU close to me. Anyone want to step in and help a fellow Seibertronian?

I think the last time I shipped something from Canada was when I got DOTM Megatron, and IIRC, the S&H was pretty cheap; then again, this was from a Canadian seller from Amazon.com.

I was abl to get some rainchecks this week, got some for the voltron lions, RID combiners and MPM Optimus
Shipping from any of us would be quite expensive and you would lose any savings. Especially since that $85 does not include the tax yet. Your total would be 85 + 12.75 (taxes where I am) + 20 (estimated shipping) so about $117 USD.
