Although the video is in Japanese, we still can see detailed features of these model kits:
These model kits are expected to hit Japanese retails in the month of June 2011.

Do they need glue? Or is this a snap together kit?

Am I wrong, or do these look like they're pretty much the size of the Leader and Deluxe class figures?

Is this coming to US retail? How much US? And where can I buy this Optimus Prime?

I think they come later in the U.S as an exclusive collector's kit. I think I'm wrong, but I know it does come later. Haven't heard much about it here.

Been saying this since the proto pics... but that Prime must be mine. As a collector of Transformers, and a builder of Gundam kits, this is my happy medium.

Did you mean to say, "God, English is the only language anyone should speak," or were you referring to something called "god english"?

People think that in Spain: Spanish is the only language anyone should speak to them.
But sadly, the world does not work out this way. We have different countries for different language. It's too bad you hate every other language. The video's purpose was not to hear the voices of the japanese people, but to view Optimus Prime and Bumblebee's modeling kits in a way we haven't quite done yet.

Actually, we should all speak Esperanto, as its intended purpose for being created was a politically neutral universal language we would all share for international interaction.

I may not know Japanese, but I know the language of love, and those two wanted each other.
Man! That Optimus looks like an absolute beast! REALLY WANT! Just not sure I can justify spending so much on a Transformer which doesn't, you know, transform.

You can buy (or pre-order) them both for US$125.081 which is cheaper than the actual price of US$163.859 at amazon.jp. Good deal and I'd take it if I was a fan... Wait.. I AM a fan.. bought.

These pieces are phenominal. Pretty much the best that could be done without making them as high-end collectibles, I think. That said, I think Prime looks as impressive as the Sideshow statue that was made.
Having ordered these, I really hope that many more characters are created (Ironhide, for one!). Anyone have any more info on that?

We'll inform everyone immediately on the front page when the next Dual Model Kit is released!
Pretty much
Glue is not a necessity, but it's valuable to have just in case there are loose pieces that shouldn't be loose, i.e. top of Bumblebee's head keeps popping off. Glue provides stability in most kit models, especially if they are handled alot.
These won't be released by Hasbro. However, they'll likely be imported at any hobby store that sells Gundams or anything that's built from a kit. If you don't have hobby stores near you, thery are everyone on the west coast if you ever swing by there on vacation. Other than that, you're looking at importing.
