Video Review for Transformers War for Cybertron Siege Micromaster Spy Patrol and Battle Squad

Thanks to fellow Seibertronian Chuckdawg1999 we have a video review of both the Transformers War for Cybertron Siege Spy Patrol and Battle Squad! Any lovers of cassettes or the Micromaster Combiners of yesteryear are no doubt excited about this release. Here's what Chuck has to say:

"These are two fun sets that in the case of the Battle Squad are digging deep in Transformers history. Rumble and Ratbat are good, but I feel require a Soundwave or Soundblaster to get their full effect. The combined weapon mode of the Battle Squad is surprisingly better than I first thought."

Hi and welcome Number1Headband! That right there is a really nice paint job! Thanks for sharing!

I know navigating through the Energon Pub can be daunting, especially when one is new to it.
Just wanted to point you to the Transtopia forums. That's the forum where the creative side of the fandom gets to showcase all their works.
There is even a sub forum dedicated to customizations right here!
Please, by all means start a new thread there for this beautiful Sunstorm you've painted. Posting there will also land you in the Creative Roundup where we spotlight all the recent projects are users have done, right on the front page of the site.

Cheers! See you around the Pub!
;)^

Anybody else not getting notifications. Looks like I've missed at least a days worth in this thread.

On the Subject of the Tetrajets, a question for the fans of the mold of WFC in general.

According to the Wiki, there are 17 named Decepticon Seeker Jets (including the Coneheads). Would you want them all available in one line? Be that Tetrajet or the new SS mold in Earthrise?

SIEGE already has seven, would you want another ten??

In one line? no.

Over the course of the entire trilogy? sure why not

They could easily give us the next five in Earthrise in a mix of the two molds of they wanted, and the same again for the third part.

I thought about that... Except Starscream has appeared twice already. So if they did an additional four for Earthrise: The Coneheads and Acidstorm (?), that means the six remaining Part Three jets they could get really creative with.

Why acid storm?

Acidstorm was just the first example that immediately came to mind.

Nacelle can also apply to the first category since the TFSS toy was his upgraded form.

I'd personally rather he keep his unique seeker body type

We can have both: Siege tetrajet mold for his Cybertronian normal Seeker body (since he would have been a tetrajet in that form anyway), Earthrise jet mold with retooled wings for his upgraded body. ;)^

Me personally, I know I have no intention of buying every single Seeker and that my interest varies by character/design like with every other TF. Of that list, the only Seekers I still explicitly want are Sunstorm, Bitstream, Hotlink, Ramjet, Nacelle, and Slipstream. That being said, the Siege mold is great and I actively dislike the Earthrise mold, so I would much prefer we get more tetrajets if we're going to get 10 more WFC Seekers. Plus, the Welcoming Committee are supposed to be tetrajets anyway. I'm really hoping the Siege molds in general still get use in Earthrise/Selects if need be, there's still a good number of characters I'd like to see from existing Siege molds.

I'd would love to see some redeco's that can be repurposed as new characters, most of these are very far fetch and I would rather see Sunstorm and the welcoming community done first if done at all.

G2 Starscream as Pre Triple Changer Blitzwing (So "G1" Bee Blitzwing) (In my head canon anyways Blitzwing was converted into a Triple Changer but started as a Seeker, bonus points for a Generations version of the Gasmask seeker look)

Image

The Navy G2 Ramjet as a Generations Jetblade, or maybe a dual combination of the two deco's so he can still be primarily white but with the blue being the camo seen on the G2 fig, potential bonus points if they made them a female I don't think the gender would be important to the character per say but I'd like to get some more female seekers in fiction, Slipstream is great, Rainmaker Nova Storm being female like the Cyberverse character would be welcome, Acid Storm I associate more being a male character since their a bit more of a character then some other obscure Seekers and besides Cyberverse their portrayal had been mostly male at this point, I don't care what they do with Ion Storm since both they and Nova Storm in the G1 cartoon weren't obvious one way or another.

A G2 Ramjet can serve as a potential homage homage if they released the deco under Slipstream's name but this would only work if they did two things, 1: If the conehead look is optional overall so it could be either Slipstream or G2 Ramjet in someone's collection, 2: they removed the Ramjet name off the nose cone, there isn't too many repaint opportunities if they do Coneheads so this works to bring a major character and have a potential meaningful redeco for a Conehead

G2 Jungle Starscream as...well someone, the deco looks sick...maybe as Wheezing Arrow? The only official pic I can find of them is a Statue with unclear colorization.

@Cobo that is perfection personified. Kudos my good sir, kudos!
@Nem Primal what do you find wrong with the Earthrise seeker mold then?

Wouldn't mind if cyberverse influences the conehead molds and they are a bit beefier and brutish in robot mode if they ever did tetra jet versions.

I'll go for the likely unpopular opinion of of Soundwave being one of the weakest of the line, his alt really doesmt work (unless the lamp post is his true alt) with his thruster things being a floppy mess that often don't stay in place. Robot mode, the finger designed to look like hes pressing his button (cool) but then he has so much guff under his forearms (kind of like classics hotrod except it doesnt even have a gimmick) which means posing the hands looks better if they are not raised, especially not pressing the button, Slide out hands as per the G1 toy would have hid the hollows and allowed for rotation/joint too. Even his tapes are a bit lacklustre. Soundwave looks good in robot mode but he has more flaws than most of the others, even megatron (and I'm really not a fan of most of the carbots/not even buying them *has barricade/redalert). Artic megs may get transformed a few times, but poor old soundwave gets to stay in one form and with his hands rather stationary.
