War For Cybertron - Warpath and Barricade Revealed

wow they actauly put barracade in here ;D

Ahh Warpath, one of my favs. That was a pleasant surprise.

Wham! Pow! Kazzam! I am looking forward to Slam! some decepticons with Wo-Pow! Warpath!

Really though, they look pretty neat. I hope Warpath is still very annoying, i like that in him.

Is Warpath a pre-order exclusive?

The only problem i have with this is that i'm now seeing a pattern of these characters being made and released as a "big deal". Don't get me wrong, they still are and its all cool, but seriously, you'll most likely be able to create the same characters in the multiplayer character creator like these most likely were.

Thus, leading to my current gripe: Wheres the trademarks at? Shockwave was the first one to alert me to this. Hes essentially a purple scientist bot with a big gun. He should turn into a gun and have a gun arm, no?

I beleive he is in all versions. as they mentioned earlier less popular characters such as Warpath will be included due to there alt modes. There are levels where tanks are required and as Megatron and many other decepticons are tanks, they have to dig deep and you may see many lesser known characters purely for there alt mode. It's more about gameplay, so popular characters will be sacraficed for characters who bring the right features to the table. So amongst the autobot team there will be mebers who's alt modes are jets. Both sides have balanced alt modes. Thats why we are seeing characters like barricade, as the decepticons need fast land surface vehicles. It's proballt Barricade and not a stunticon due to the movie.

I hope and I'm pretty sure that exclusive characters won't have features that would give an advantage due to features not amongst the standard teams. And as others have mentioned I think they are just standard characters with different skins.

I do love the design of the both these characters, but the bios are poorly written. This is something I've noticed about nearly all the bios so far.

I can see where you are coming from there. Also his alt mode looks like a vintage earth veicle. I'm not feeling this design much at all. It also look like a rip off of Megatron. There's certain features that mimic his design. One thing I'm definently not a fan of is the Tringle torsos. It's appearing quite alot at the moment, especialy inlines like power core. The shoulders are wide tapering down to for a triangular body and the legs are slapped on either side of the narrow pointy waist which tapers down to the crutch.

Also just reading Barricades description. It's rubbish and to be honest there's quite alot of rubbish writtn on transformers tech spec and bios. Baricades favourite tactic is to get the Autobots lost, and somehow this is fatal to an Autobot lol.

I'm not sure it's G1 Barricade they are homaging. THe color scheme looks too different. ANd since G1 Barricade hasn't got NEAR the popularity that the '07 movie version did, I suspect that his bio is geared more towards that than the G1.

As for getting Autobots lost, that never happens since most Autobots are guys...

I can't believe how you are all overlooking the spot-on parallel Sabrblade has drawn here. Look at the head sculpt (Helmet-like crown, optics design) and the strong similarity to the vehicle mode (definitely more Indy lines and angles vs. a Saleen). I'm giving hardcore thanks to Activision's designers and artists for not only designing great characters, but for doing their homework. WFC is going to RULE.

Both look awesome & Im guessing this Barricade is based off the G1 version not the movie one. This game is going to be badass.
