Marvel's Transformers Universe Profile

Profile: Devcon is the single Autobot who most haunts the offline processes of Decepticons throughout the galaxy. Throughout the Great War, he remained one of the very few successful - and operational - bounty hunters in the Autobot ranks, charged with hunting down those Decepticons that were deemed especially dangerous or powerful by Autobot high command. Devcon's intense hatred for Decepticons and their entire way of life is perhaps what made him so good at his job - and is also perhaps the greatest mystery hiding behidn his cynical and unforgiving personality.

The origins of Devcon's talents as a tracker are shrouded in mystery, as are the true reasons behind the cold-blooded comfort he has often found in the termination of his prey. As the Great War ended and armistice was declared on Cybertron, Devcon made what many viewed as the strongest of career choices - for reasons perhaps known only to Devcon, he signed on with the Maximal High Council's newly formed Imperial Peace Marshals, a law enforcement agency charged with maintaining the planet's fragile peace. As Apelinq once said, "No one knows why Devcon joined the Marshals - but then, he used to call himself a 'bounty hunter', and I never once saw him get paid for his work."
Abilities: Devcon's strength and combat skills are considerable, but it is his endurace that has become legendary among the ranks of Decepticons fugitives. In the pursuit of his prey, it seems as if he is capable of functioning forever, with little or no need to rest or refuel. In actuality, Devcon's internal power circuitry is among the most efficent of all the Transformers. It enables him to conserve considerable amount of energy over long periods, often allowing Devcon to defeat his quarry simply by outclassing him.

Devcon carries powerful plasma blaster mounted on his right arm, capable of pulverizing a 10'x10'x10' concrete cube. The independently targetable laser cannon mounted on his head can hit a moving Decepticon from over two miles away. In his space crusier mode, Devcon is capable of long range interstellar flight. His top subl-light speed is 150, 000 mph.
Weaknesses: Devcon's Vehicon body maintains many scaled-down implementations of the weapons he favored in his origianl form; the plasma blasters mounted on his arms are complemented by laser-guided concussion missiles and dual stunblades which are capable of knocking even larger opponents unconscious with one strike. While no longer as durable or physically strong as he once was, Devcon's racecar mode gives him a tremendous speed advantage on level terrain.
