I don't know, you're the one that was compelled to tell everyone you ordered two of them. Mad? Not at all, just callin' 'em like I see 'em.

The Hasbro one has the more correct color choices, while the Takara one has the more correct color layout.
Though, the Takara one has slightly more correct use of its colors than the Hasbro one.

That'll be the next repainted version...
"Racing stripe" or not, it's still more correct than the orange "zigzag" going down the chest on Hasbro's Unicron.Covenant wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Having seen comparison images of both the Hasbro and Takara, I can see good things about both figures, as well as faults in each.

THAT, and the more 'flat' (as described by another) colors used sealed the deal with the Takara one for me long ago. Goes perfectly with the ol'collection.
And, seriously, was someone referring to the the correct orange-toothed-center as a 'racing stripe'??![]()

Sabrblade wrote:But both versions need to use more SUBTLETY to their color schemes if they want these to be as show-accurate as possible. The G1 animation models were not fancy-shmancy with so many itty-bitty details splattered onto their bodies. They had BASIC color schemes and those worked well for them. All these tiny bits of added red and silver paint are completely unnecessary, as they take away from the show-accurate nature of these color schemes.

Even funnier that Unicron is boxed in a pose that suggests that once kranix is glanced upon, you will get punched in the arm and called gay.
