Got my brother interested in going to BotCon. Yea! We're going to try and get a room at the Hyatt Regency, that is if they're not already booked up. We're waiting on the registration details (please hurry up, BotCon peeps!).

I might join you guys at the bar, but then again I'm not a real hard drinker... only drink the fruit-flavored stuff .

Ditto here....not much of a drinker, but a bar is a derned good ice-breaker-type place! I might imbibe for a minute, but not too much.....bad karma comes to me when I drink past my fair share (one drink per month)!

Beer smells bad. I do like wine, but my tastes run on the expensive side. But if the bar is where you all will hang out then I guess that is where I will show up at least to start. I do not require alchohol to have a good time.
To do it right, I would rent a top floor penthouse and have a private party with all my Seibertron friends, celebs and guests... just a random thought.

i'm a total noob and this might be my first botcon so i dont know much. so registration for the convention hasnt started??? i really want to go!!!!!!

I guess you did not view my profile. My personal motto is "never underestimate me".

BTW we did just that at GENCON a few years back, nice suite, a bunch of SF/Fantasy authors (who are big names now) and a nice quiet party and a lot of sharing of how they came up with the characters in their books.
Since I have never been to Botcon before I would probably not set something up for this time. There is a lot of meeting people and planning involved in such a seemingly simple event. It is very doable.

I need a few more questions answered. Sorry guys, I know I'm anal but please bear with me. I swear once you guys meet me at Botcon I totally rock.

1.) Does anybody have any idea how much the Protoform and Primus packages were last year if you were not a member of the collector's club?

2.) Does anybody have any idea how much the Protoform package was last year if you were a member of the collectors club?

3.) I know the protoform package did not get you into the awards dinner, but what else couldn't you get into, specifically?

Go to botcon.com Then go to the bottom of the page and click on the botcon 2007 link. All the information that you want to know is posted there plus a lot more.

True! Liquor can be mixed to have a semi-palatable flavor....beer cannot

Wine is nice....one glass and I am gooooooood..and the company being good sure does help it go down with minimal side-effects..

I would not wait till the con to register. Someone else will have to chime in as I have never registered for Botcon.

You're going to want to fax in your registration ASAP. Unless they upgrade their software this year and let you register online. I wouldn't hold my breath on that though.

I'm so excited. We're like 3-4 hours away from Cinci, but the deciding factor will be if we (Raesnoangel94 and I) can pull enough funds together. I looked on the 07 site but I can't find out what the price of the protoform package...

I got the Protoform Package last year, and the exact amount escapes me, but I believe it was $185.00 USD. The Primus package was slightly over $300. I am not a club member.

About $50 cheaper if you're a club member, I think. Not sure.

Not getting the exclusive figures is really the biggest downside of the Protoform package, followed by not getting to attend the Awards Dinner. However, as a Protoform, I had full access to the dealer room, all the interviews/q&a, all the autographs, which was all the stuff i really cared about.

In short, I went with Protoform my first time because I was on a budget. You will still have a complete blast. I've never seen so many Transfans in one place. And most of us are really cool. I can say though, that I'll be planning ahead and going Primus package from now on whenever possible.
