Why wait, I can drive to the Chevy dealer up he road and get Bumblebees twin brother right now. Hell I can get a red one too and call it Cliffjumper too.

You do realize General Motors custom builds these cars specifically for the movie don't you? This is not a standard stock Camaro. They use a more powerful engine in this one I believe. Also, the front fascia, hood, rear fascia, rear quarter panels, exhaust, wheels, and the rear spoiler are all custom modifications from GM. So it is NOT THE SAME CAR as the one at your local dealer.

All I'm doing is clarifying that it was not a closed set like you so adamantly stated it was. I dunno whats so difficult to understand about that.
But I guess that since you typed "closed set" in all caps then you must be right and theres no other way around it.

Shadowman wrote:Robinson is right. A closed set wouldn't have anyone but cast and crew on it. Yes, roads were closed down, but if there's still people there who aren't working on the movie, it's not a closed set.

I don't know where you live, but where I'm from, if you see a bunch of cars driving down the street, you do not immediately think "This is a closed set and I'm not supposed to drive here!"
kenm2474 wrote:As D.C. has stated in numerous radio and television shows. They are filming a movie in their city. I am quite positive that they have said where as well. So you with your "but where I'm from, if you see a bunch of cars driving down the street, you do not immediately think "This is a closed set and I'm not supposed to drive here!" probably be one of the accidents on the Closed Set.

Shadowman wrote:A few problems with that:
1. It assumes the cop listens to entertainment news.
2. It assumes this was actually a closed set, which we have confirmed it was not. (Which is why the cop was able to drive in, and why there were people who aren't in the cast or crew there)
3. It assumes the news stories detailed that exact street and times each vehicle would be there.
4. It assumes the cop was not in a rush to investigate a bomb threat.

Except it didn't hit the nerf bar. And plastic has nothing to do with it, the front of the camaro is steel, other than the lower bumper, exactly the same as every car on the market for the past 30 years. The suv also has plastic in places, it also happens to be a chevy too.
Don't judge cars unless you turn wrenches.

And, as I said, police vehicles are much more durable than civilian vehicles.
I just had a thought. Is it kind of odd to make a bomb threat on a Michael Bay movie? I mean, is anyone going to notice? "Keep making this movie and I'll set off a bomb." "This is a Michael Bay movie. We set off fifteen bombs daily. You're going to need to be more specific."
Robinson wrote:From what I understand the bomd threat wasnt on set. The cop just chose to drive thru the set to get to the threat.

See, I was working on the assumption that the bomb threat was on set. Now that I know it wasn't, I think the cop is more of an idiot.
