Glad you asked... got the pics from http://www.jesterpictures.com cool ass ****. Dragon (fellow forum guy) hooked me up.

Robinson... what do I have to do to get you to GO AWAY? Good god man... let it go for f*** sake.

Hear, I will ask nicely... please go away!

And Blackstreet... I agree with you completely. I like beast Wars... but the movies being made have "guidlines" with G1 in mind.

I'm starting to think by liking G1 other fans get pissed becasue they feel the newer versions won't get their share of screentime. Maybe we purists threaten their existance;-)

Peace out!

So because my opinion differs from yours I have to be the one to go away? That makes you sound real good when it comes to accepting others opinions or ideas. And you wonder why no one wants to have a "dialog" with you.

Btw a little of your own medicine. Becasue is spelled Because and guidlines is missing an "e". So now that you went off on my spelling and then mess it up twofold what's that say?

Well i'm glad you can admit what your posts are comprised of. ;;)

Seriously, I have no problem with foul language, but dude, ease up a bit. For the sake of the forums go and read the forum rules.

And secondly, people ARE discussing what you're saying. The problem is YOU. YOU don't seem overly receptive to the opinions of others.

Stop crying the victim, if someone's said something nasty to you then chances are you did something to warrant it. And if people don't agree with what you say, well then maybe you should grow up and realise that not everyone is going to agree with you.

Oh and kudos on calling Robinson a "cyber geek" and being proud of getting into a "cyber fight", to me that says you're nothing but immature and spineless having to hide behind his computer getting his jollies off by pissing people off on the net. Am I close? ;;)

I'm with you Mattimus. And while that picture is bad ass as all hell, it's not quite the caliber of the movie, but I'm sure you realized that.

As for the whole idea that there have been too many Devastators already:

This is not just another cartoon toyline. This is not just another comic. This is the movie. It's a special occasion. The same olds need to be used yet again because they are the most iconic characters and need to be brought forward. That's not to say other characters can't also be used, but it's silly to say we can't have someone as awesome in a Bay movie as the constructicons merging, just because it's been done to death in the cartoons and toys.
Buy my RiD toys! They're awesome, I promise!!!!

You obviously missed the whole point of a DISCUSSION FORUM.

devastator is not the best thing from G1 you know.I'd see Decepticons like Astrotrain,Blitzwing, and maybe 1 or 2 members from
different combiner teams being a better choice. CGI costs money so its not like you'll see the entire G1 toyline in TF 2.I don't think people who are expecting a evil force known for using military hardware as alt modes like to see devastator chosen over all the other Decepticons. They won't do it anyway.Whos going to buy 6 constuction vehicles besides TF diehards for
$20 each when wondering what else they could have had?

Well, technically Devastator was in T1. Depends on which is more canon: movie or toyline. And if anyone has comments on my spleelning, I am in America, and if Dan Quayle don't haff to spel rite, neither do I.

there you have it hes in TF 1,now make room for some one else
remember motormaster? The guy who could be a cab over because his trailer is some of his mass?Or vortex? theres still alot of military helicopters that have yet to be alt modes.Astrotrain is the best T-changer to use because his alts are the same scale.

Dragonslayer wrote:Nobody's got a problem with G1. It was cool back in the day and it's still cool now. What we're saying is that not everyone who is a Transformers fan grew up with G1. Some grew up with Beast Wars, some with RiD, some with the Unicron Trilogy. What the writers are trying to do is appeal to ALL of those people as well as introduce new fans to the Transformers mythology. True, there were references to G1 all throughout the movie, but Burn is right: this movie is an all new storyline, not G1 all over again. They certainly should draw upon G1 for ideas and characters, but they have several other series they can use, too. To limit yourself like that is a bad thing. Variety is good. Take a look at Scorponok, for instance. They used him because he was from both G1 and BW. That way they can appeal to at least two kinds of fans in that respect.

So, in short, the movies should not be based solely on G1, but it should have a definitive role in shaping the story.

Devastator may have been done to death, but it's mainly because he's so popular. None of the other combiners have ever had as much popularity...Menasor, Rail Racer, Predaking, none of them.....so if they do have one, Devastator should be it. & it would look awsome. I mean, take the transformations they had in the movie, & then imagine 6 construction vehicles slowly latching together in like manner & slowly standing up while still combining.....& hopefully getting enough height & bulk that he can hold one of the normal-sized bots like they hold humans....throw 'em around like ragdolls.

hey, you know what would be really cool? Tidal Wave (aircraft carrier) vs. Omega Supreme (Space shuttle complete with booster rockets & everything) They'd be about the same size, right?

I don't think you'll see all the Dinobots, but I can see them doing at least one. Grimlock is a big fan favorite. He's kind of dumb so I could see him scanning a T-Rex like an animatronic one at an amusement park or maybe he sees one at some place like La Brea. I doubt he would stay a T-Rex the whole movie. He might rescan something after another Transformer tells him it's a bad disguise. It's not a perfect way to get him in the movie, but just a possibility. Maybe he arrives right at the end of the movie for the final battle so for his on screen time we see him wreaking havok on the Decepticons as a dinosaur. Who knows?

Considering that Spielburg has a thing for dinosaurs, I could see him arguing for keeping dinos in the movie. I mean, a giant robot disguised as a dino in this day & age....that could be badass & hillarious at the same time, & that seems to be what these movies are all about. I mean, imagine a scenario similar to the autobots hiding around Sam's house, only with A: a giant dino is roaming around freaking people out, & B: Grimlock thinking all the hiding is stupid, only he'd be more stubborn than Ironhide was.

I've got an idea.

Why not have the Dinobots as the Dynabots, being a rogue bounty-hunter sorta group that left Cybertron before Megatron revolted and started the war?

They could have crashed onto prehistoric Earth in pursuit of some dangerous cybertronian criminal (a la BW Protoform X) and scanned in the Dino alt-modes but became mechanical versions. And after a long battle, the Ice Age arrived, and both the Dinos and the criminal got stasis-locked by the drastic climate change. And after being in stasis for millenia, they were buried deep underground, but dug up by Archaeologists and accidentally reactivated.

Upon reactivating and finding out that the world has changed a lot, they scan in present-day vehicular alt-modes, but still retain some dino-style design in their robot mode.

Personally, I really don't think a lot of non-fans would get them *not* being dinos. I know a lot of people now don't see how dinosaurs would work in a realistic movie....but honestly, why would dinos be unreasonable, but yet a giant scorpion works just fine?

How about dinos being unreasonable but yet people are willing to except that there are giant robots from space that can disguise themselves and transform into cars, jets, tanks, and helicopters? I think if they want to use Dinobots, they can and no one would have a problem with it. I'm just not sure you'll see all 5 of them.
