It's like those people on youtube who leave trolling comments about video's they hate. If you don't like Justin Bieber, or Lady Gaga, or whoever then don't watch their videos. It's like they have nothing better to do than look for something to complain about.
A great analogy that doesn't apply here at all. If you're on this site, you're a Transformers fan, you see. So we're not people who hate Transformers making negative comments, we're people who LOVE Transformers, and wanted to see it get a better adaptation on the big screen...who leave negative comments.

I was talking about the people who still insist on making negative comments in threads discussing RotF. Constructive criticism is fine, but trashing the movie without really saying anything 2 years after it came out is trolling. I was trying to tell Sly that like toutube commenters, it's best not to get worked up over it.

Capt.Failure wrote:The latter almost always falls into trolling because one cannot hold a conversation with a rabid attacker, no matter which side of the fence they're on.

You want me to link you to Urban Dictionary? How about TVtropes? Wikipedia perhaps? How about Whatever Encyclopedia Dramatica is calling itself now? And to finish it off, Know Your Meme. Because GOOD GOD no one seems to know what the word means anymore.
Trolls aren't rabid attackers, they're intelligent attackers who know all of someone's personal buttons and the exact right order to push them. Just trashing something does not a troll make, trashing something in a way that excites a particular emotional response is. Saying "This sucks and you suck for liking it!" is not trolling (Or, at the very least, not skilled trolling), posting a long argument, primarily filled with half-truths and blatant lies, about WHY something sucks and you suck for liking it is trolling.
