I'm a bit disappointed but I'm hoping that it's because the picture isn't too good and there's detail to be seen when more photos are released. Until we know/see the whole story , I'll wait to pass judgement.

Maaaaaan, can you ever tell jizaitoys had their hands in making this and the rest of the function x stuff. It looks good, if a little too lean. Mind you, that does almost bang on like the Japanese cartoon. Missing a few details, but it's not bad.

Aaaaaaand the coolest part, they haven't even shown yet!

Sidenote: the hell is this forum so far detatched from the transformers toys forum? :???:

Seibs decided that he'd stop supporting 3rd party stuff and moved the forum here. There was a discussion and an argument and it was all decided once and for all. There's a whole rule about bugging him about it now.

As for the figure ... now I see why they didn't want to show us a prototype. It is disappointing. It has very thin arms and a large. blocky torso. I guess I don't know what i expected; it does look like the artwork.

Edit: There's some new pics at TFW. They make the figure look a WHOLE LOT better than that first one. It's a shame that the Headmaster port doesn't allow use of the old G1 heads, though. I can get why they'd make that decision, but it's one that's pretty limiting in what they're doing. It might have been fun to use the Headrobot's and Junkion Blacksmiths's heads with these.

My first disappointment from FP... what a drag. Aesthetics are boring, proportions are wonky and articulation looks lacking (no ankle movement!?). Even the alt-mode is lackluster... the G1 version's got more swag than this, that front grill is awful. It's not the worst thing I've ever seen, but FP's earlier releases blow this out of the water.

Figures that the first fail from them comes after they have people order blindly from them.

I'm perfectly fine with that being my chromedome! I wanted a silver head and orange mouth plate like the Japanese portrayal but hey this will suffice nicely. NOW GIVE US WEIRDWOLF NEXT!!!(or at least make sure they play for the other team

That is just f**king awesome !!! Thats the type of classics figures I want ! Straight up G1 goodness with improved articulation and no neo alt modes or puzzleformer crap. Why cant Hasbro deliver stuff like this ??? Instead of hating on Fansproject, Has/Tak should bow down in dishonor, admit defeat, and offer Fansproject a contract.

Im not too keen on the Nebulan's arms, but no big deal. Im not going to be displaying him in car mode. Everything else I rate a 10+ and then some !

I don't think there's anything 'giant' about it, it's the same size as FoC Jazz/Sideswipe

I think they got the size right. Just like Defender, he is a large deluxe in height. Considering most classics autobot cars are deluxe, this scales quite well with Hasbro figures by G1 cartoon standards. I love Headrobots Hardhead, but would welcome a replacement more in scale with the cartoon. I think it would be cool to use the Hasbro version as Grindcore with an extra black Onslaught head I have from Stronghold.

I am a little disappointed with the Stylor not being a bit more articulated. I am also a little confused why the colors on the face itself don't resemble who it obviously should. Otherwise, I am pretty content with him. Looks like it does everything else I could have wanted from the figure.

Looking at the comparison shots next to the original G1 figure, I predict a nice reprolabels set in the works that includes the orange faceplate.

I think it looks pretty decent. Nothing I'm clamoring for, but pretty nice. I'd prefer it to fit in a little better with the rest of their recent offerings, but it looks good. Especially in vehicle mode. If I can get it sometime later on, I will. If not...no big loss.

Not too impressed, but then I was never a fan of the original headmasters.

I'm glad I got him though, for the charity angle. I think that's cool.

I probably won't be getting the rest though.
I think Toy World is doing a set of Headmasters, I may go with theirs.

He's good, for another third party company, not a Fansproject product. The paint scheme is all wrong and will give customisers a good time making it match the old toy. The biggest draw is the head, its a shame they got the colours wrong. I don't regret buying it but I may think twice before ordering the rest of the line.

Only thing I can say I'm truly disappointed in is the nebulon not having some nicer range of movement. Protector's Targetmaster and the core figure of Steelcore have bendable arm and leg movement... I was really hoping this would be the case with their Headmasters as well. : /

Other then that I'm fairly content. I like that you can sit the figure inside vehicle mode and that makes me curious what they might have planned for the Decepticon Headmasters. And while the size of the head -should- bother me it doesn't so much considering what he's supposed to be. However, the color scheme on the head does leave a little to be desired.

Can't call it a flop, but I do feel the peg has gone down a touch from what I'm used to expecting from FP.
