Yes. Code was the first of many of his works with FansProject. The Headmasters line is his signature work.

I just cant buy into the rumor that Jizai is the designer of the FP Headmasters line. Maybe he assisted with the project and is being mentored by FP designers, but the aesthetic doesn't match his style or level of complexity in designs. One picture speaks 1000 words...

Is there any evidence in writing that Jizai designed Code on his own, like an interview translated in English? Or is it just a "He said, she said" rumor ? Maybe Daimchoc would know. I've heard he has access to Weibo and can read Japanese fluently.

lets not forget that some of the projects he's designed for fun/practise/whatever might be overly complicated for a product designed to sell for a particular price point. Similarly to what we see with the differences in official figures from concept to prototype to final product.

I've no knowledge on any Jizai/FP connection, but it's possible a designer can change their style for a project to fit their client's requirements, either to maintain a specific FP-look or to keep within a budget.

You also have to remember, he made that Chromedome YEARS ago. Seriously, some of the content on his website is close to a decade old, if not over. In that time, he could've refined his process.

That's a valid point. Although there's still no written proof Jizai designed The FP line. Only word of mouth rumors. We know just about as much on Jizai's business endeavors as we do about Maiden Japan's whereabouts.

Well for me things that are "mentioned" on TFW2005 (through comments) is just fans talking. Unless the website posts an excerpt from an official interview it's just heresay. Im not saying youre incorrect, Im just saying I havent seen it stated anywhere except in comments. And once the word "speculated" was used in one of those comments on this website. Maybe you can provide a link to an official reference that confirms it. If it's in Japanese (Weibo) maybe somebody who bilingual can confirm this.

Weibo is Chinese. You can configure it for traditional or simplified chinese afaik. So japanese language knowledge would be of littl help here

I don't know if Perfect Effect are japanese but their official page/profile is on Yahoo Blogs Jp, while other 3rd parties like KFC or Dr. Wu are on Weibo.

Just got mine today (thanks to my wife as an anniversary present) and man is he superb.. The transformation is absolutely a marvel to do.. Makes use of the entire robot too. Hastak needs to hire some of the designers that created this fig.

This one is a must buy indeed!

Indeed, the Headmasters from FP do break from a lot of other generalizations about their toys. I love fiddling with Code. Quad U is slightly less fun to play with, but maybe that's the lack of a decent gun. (My little browning guy doesn't fit in the hands.) But Smart Robin is a joy, though I seem to keep forgetting moving the one panel to unlock the arm/side sections to do the cleverest transformation I've seen in years.

I try not reading instructions or watching any reviews on FP's function X line. I think the fun of it is discovering how to do it for the first time and its all very intuitive and you can feel your way through the transformation.
