Clip on shin cars is lazy. And his head is too small just like Bruticus. And they cant blame the existing Hasbro components this time. It's all on FP to justify any part of the design they did or didnt do. Im still buying him, but Im far more excited about MMC Predaking.
Don't be too bummed. He's a solid combiner from the looks of it. You can nit pick all ya like but that Motormaster and the way he makes the whole combination work is a stroke of genius if you ask me. The design brings the kibble ratio down to zero and it's an "outside of the box" approach on how to incorporate the trailer into the combiner gimmick. I think he looks tough as nails.
And as for the clip on shin design.....why not? They'd look that way anyhow. Otherwise It would be just the car with a combiner port in the tail pipe and a peg in the front end for the foot and have the swivel gimmick in the foot itself.
This way you loose the instability of a possible weak port connection at the knee and gain a a solid substructure for the bots to combine with. It's a win in my opinion.Just different.
This is all conjecture at this point but i think it's sound.

It makes me wish they would have just left the cars alone and gone old school. I actually used to see those G1 cars on the street when I was young, unlike all these rare prototype cars that maybe only 1 exists.

C'mon now buddy... You've actually seen G1 Dragstrip's physical vehicle representation on the streets? And you expect these new/prototype cars to be easily seen on the streets? Do you know of an experimental/prototype Truck with a trailer?

(Rich Tourist areas in Miami) And lets not forget the popular Magnum P.I. series featuring the Ferrari. The Indy car I saw plenty of times racing live on TV and a couple times in various museums.
All these "Neo" cars only exist in real life if youre a billionaire who travels to attend auto foreign shows. I bet the people from FP who designed the figures have never seen those cars in person.

I didn't grow up in a rich tourist area of Miami and maybe saw the 928 once or twice......never seen the six wheel formula racer either.
I am happy with what has been presented so far with this guy.

I forgot about the six wheels on the G1 Drag Strip. I was referring to regular indy cars from that era. So you never watched Magnum P.I. when you were a kid ? I was so young I didnt even understand the stories, I just watched it for the Ferrari.
