More fun with blowing stuff up. Mission-wise, returned to Paris and prepping for a big mission by getting the black market dealer what he needs to forge me paperwork to get past a Nazi blockade.

Beat the game...but, what's this...things apparently don't work out between Scott and Ramona!? I went through all 7 of those bozos for my true love's heart and got shafted?

My guess is I have to beat the game on Supreme Master (Hard) to get the best ending. Either way, this game is still a blast!

Now if only it'd come out for WiiWare. :-(

Saboteur
Phew, that was a rush. Ran some minor missions for the Madame (not that kind) for her resistance Cell. To prove my trustworthiness, had to free one of her compatriots, kill a Nazi general who hosted a bookburning, blow up another Nazi leader who was stealing priceless art, and finally destroy a radio transmitter the Nazi's were using to spread propoganda. That last one came with a tank to play with, but also netted me a Level 5 alarm. Crap!
Managed to ditch the Nazi's and steal one of their uniforms, but you can't escape a level 5 with distance alone (their zeppelins and Air strafing runs see to that) so I had to cross teh ENTIRE world map to find one of only 2 suitable hiding places. Managed to escape the alarm and earn the level 3 evasion perk. Damn, I'm good. 8)

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
After finishing Other M, decided to replay the prime series. And having replayed Prime 1 in recent memory, jumped to Prime 2. To save text space, will stick to latest accomplishment. Defeated Dark Samus for the 1st time and earned the Dark Beam.

If they do, hopefully Ubisoft can fix the freezing problem this game is prone to have. I didn't start having problems with it until a couple of days ago, but this game will just stop for no apparent reason and will freeze up your Xbox; also seems to be happening to PS3 users as well.

I've been itching to play this one again. One of the reasons I like this game is because Mother Brain is not the antagonist, so it kind of left you guessing who the last boss was and how things would turn out.

All four characters have different endings. Beating the game as Ramona gets you the real ending. Or maybe you just need to have her on your team, I never actually played it co-op.

Also, you unlock Nega-Scott as a playable character if you complete the game as all four characters.

Final Fantasy II:
Drove the Empire out of Fynn. That'll teach that David Bowie-wannabe to screw with me. Now I have to go help Minwu unlock the Ultima Tome, which I'm sure we'll be able to obtain without any trouble or human sacrifice.

I think I may have accidentally spent too much tie grinding. "Just a little longer," I'd say, "I want to get our stats up a bit more." Now, enemies can only be a threat to me if they come in big groups and spam status effects. Oh well. It goes a bit fast, but if I can walk through armies with the only thing taking significant damage being Maria's MP (She's my spellcaster, Firion and Guy are both melee) I won't complain.

Mother Brain wasn't the antagonist in most games of the metroid. She just gets the press as being the most famous. This game did have a nice twist about the identity of Dark Samus when it came out.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Found the light beam surprisingly soon after the dark beam. worked my way to the Dark Agon temple and fought the tri-worm Amorbis creature. Defeating it netted me the Dark suit. Used my suit and luminoth granted tech to steal back the energy from the dark temple and return it to its counterpart in the light world.

Borderlands:
Finished the main portion of Claptrap's Robot Revolution:

-Ended up at Tartarus Station, which Tannis asked me to collect claptrap parts for a "totally legal" experiment she is working on. In the course of that, i found Hyperion Mercs fighting an army of psychotic Claptraps. I ended the fighting...by killing both sides.

-The VP of Hyperion, Mr. Blake, was surprisingly happy about this, and offered me a job of taking down a renegade Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap. My first job was to restore a power plant to give power to the automatic bridges. And who should stand in my way but an assimilated General Knoxx. Well, took him down, not much trouble. Restored power, yay.

-My next job was to shut down a Claptrap production plant. I fought past Dr. Ned, who is still totally not Dr Zed, but is in fact assimilated. Not like he's particularly hard.

-After that, I had to get a device to shutdown the INA Claptrap, only for Steele, assimilated and with a big hole left by the Destroyer, to stand in my way. (She fights like an Omega Assassin) Got the device, and on to my last job...

-Headed to what is supposed to be the Claptrap base, fighting General Knoxx, Steele, and Undead Ned, only to make it to the final showdown arena...

Fyrestone. The very road you get off the bus, the exact spot you meet the Claptrap you're about to kill. Oh, hey, Marcus is there. Apparently Hyperion wanted him to take me to new locations and...INAC kills him? Unforgivable, that little yellow bastard is going down. he summons a giant battle-tank, Mega Interplanetary ninja Assassin Claptrap, MINAC. Took it down, reprogrammed the Claptrap, Marcus isn't even dead, and all is well.

All that's left is a few sidequests for Tannis, Marcus, and the Tartarus Bounty Board. And perhaps a few achievements.

tl;dr enough for you?

Wow, no replies since last month? Well I guess it's my turn again:

Final Fantasy II:
BEATEN! My over-grinding combined with the swank-ass Blood Sword allowed me to kill the Emperor in three (3) hits. And I mean the Final Boss Emperor, not that pushover in the Cyclone.

Final Fantasy I:
Just beat the Vampire, and I was on my way back for the Lich, but I stopped when Steam informed me...

Team Fortress 2:
Oh Bonk it's the Polycount Pack! And not the sixty-five (65) new weapons and items, they've also implemented a "Mann Co. Catalogue" where you can view each item and it's function in-game, a system with which to modify some items (Name, color, etc.), Trading (FINALLY), and the Mann Co. Store, where you can buy in-game items with real-world money.

Just like that one mech game that broke my heart!!

Though, I haven't bought any items because A: I'm broke and B: These prices are outrageous. A bundle package for the items in the Polycount Pack costs $50! And it's on sale at 63% off!

I did, however, craft a few weapons:

The Holy Mackerel: A melee weapon for Scout, also a fish. In terms of stats, it's about the same as the regular Bat, but when you hit someone with it, a kill tag will pop up with a number that increases each time you hit them, with each killed marked with "FISH KILL!" (it's a humiliation weapon, basically) It also flops around. And it's totally awesome.

The Powerjack: A melee weapon for Pyro. A car jack strapped to a car battery, each kills heals Pyro for 75 HP. It also does 25% more damage, but it can't random crit.

Your Eternal Reward: A new Spy Knife. Though you can't use the Disguise Kit with it, when you kill an enemy, not only will they not scream as they die, their corpse will cloak, and you'll automatically disguise as them.

Team Fortress 2:
Wow, trading really changed the face of this game.

Someone traded me a Mann Co Supply Crate, an item which, when unlocked will give you one of a set of random items. (Always listed on each crate) I dropped five bucks into my Steam wallet (The smallest amount) and shelled out the $2.50 for the key, and decided to spend the rest on the Soldier's Stash hat. (basically strapping a playing card and a pack of smokes to the Soldier's regular helmet) didn't get anything really good out of the crate, but the first time you buy something from the Mann Co store you also get an official Mann Co hat...(in game, of course)

Among other things, I got one of the new Soldier weapons, the Black Box, which only carries 25% ammo, but heals you for 15 HP each time you hit an enemy.

I also engaged in a Duel. Basically, you challenge someone else using a one-use item, and should they accept, you're Dueling. Each kill or assist you get against your Rival counts as one Point in the duel, and whoever has the most points when the match ends, wins. (The item is refunded if the neither Duelist gets a point)

Okay, Made some headway. after defeating a group of pirate commandos, unlocked the Super Missile which then allowed me to access the Torvus Temple. Met with a Hologram that gave me access to more of Torvus. Explored most of the light version and found a portal to Dark Torvus. Explored Dark Torvus and reached the Arena where the Boost guardian awaited. After about 20 deaths, managed to defeat the Boost guardian and earn the boost ball. Using the boost ball, opened up more areas of light and dark torvus. Just got a message that a new Luminoth weapon is available. By process of elimination, it must be... THE ANNIHILATOR BEAM!

I've got a couple of games I'm working on:

Metroid: Zero Mission 100% completion attempt: Busy in Shinespark hell in Ridley zone trying to get the most annoying missile tanks in the game.

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia... I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment right now? Trying to go through Dracula's Castle. Recently got doggie-bite weapon.

Wild ARMs: A rather underappreaciated game IMHO. Busy trying to get through Ka Dingel, though I've already paid The Abyss a visit.

Left 4 Dead Just grabbing achievements until I can get a headset for Live. Current goal: Stomach Upset.

Only achievements until you get a new headset? Not until the Sacrifice DLC drops tomorrow?

Because that's really all I have planned.

Final Fantasy III:
Saved the Earth Crystal, netting me the last few job classes. (Except Onion Knight) Switched my team up to Warrior, Magus (Essentially an upgraded Black Mage), Devout (upgraded White Mage, cat ears), and Ninja. Now I'm just grinding.

Good thing I play it on PC. It's free for me. Also, it downloads automatically, the moment they release it. I couldn't avoid the DLC even if I wanted to. Because Valve loves PC players more than console players. Isn't that right, 3GB of Team Fortress 2 updates?

On the other hand, it's probably already out on 360, because Valve is slow as all hell.

Stuck in another pit of Bioware quicksand? See you in a month when you manage to pull yourself out of the icy grasp of high-quality storytelling!

Left 4 Dead 2:
Beat the Sacrifice...sort of. I beat it in that not everyone died and the credits rolled. The problem was that, I had intended to sacrifice myself, for the Kill Bill achievement (Bill, who was me, is the sacrifice) but someone decided to go sacrifice himself without telling anyone, thus getting me killed. So, not only did he screw everyone out of the Kill Bill achievement, by not telling anyone what he was doing, he screwed me out of the campaign completion achievement.

I'm still pissed about that.
