Been playing Splatterhouse, not a bad reboot of an Arcade classic. Now I'm playing the Kane & Lynch series again.

Final Fantasy Tactics:
BEATEN! And damn, Altima was a pushover. it didn't help that killing Vormav netted me the Ragnarok sword, which I gave to Ramza, then gave Ramza's Save the Queen to Agrias, so I have three characters with the three best swords in the game. Seriously, Altima didn't even get a substantial hit in.
And wow...did anyone really win this? Story wise, I mean, I know I won. But Delita's brand new kingdom is somewhat spoiled by the fact that he killed one of the few people who loved him after she tried to kill him for using her as a pawn, as he climbed to the top by backstabbing as many people as he could. Ramza and Alma survived, but they're both heretics and nothing Ramza did will be officially recognized for centuries, though knowing him, he's okay with not being thanked as long as Ivalice isn't invaded by demons.
God damn I love Ivalice. thinking about trying again with Tactics Advance, the poor, retarded man's Tactics. I really do respect Ramza; he didn't care what anyone thought about him, he was saving the day and the ones he loved, because it was the right thing to do and no one else was doing it. Marche, on the other hand, was a total douche who had to ruin everyone's good time and forced them to accept their crappy lives as disabled social outcasts.

Dead Rising 2
Managed to track down the missing reporter who was being protected by the military. And by protected, I mean being held hostage by a general who turned psychotic after losing his squad the zombies. He finally found peace with a grenade.
Carried the injured reporter back to the safehouse (no easy feat). From there, it was time to sit back and notice the zombies that had entered the safehouse.
Held off the zombies by tracking some tools and hotwiring the secondary security gate to lock them out again. The bad guy made a move to escape but ended up getting a hickey from a lady zombie. There goes my chance at clearing my name. sigh... Okay, time to find out where that weird gas is coming from.
UPDATE:
GAME OVER!
Tracked the gas source and found the source of the outbreak. Forcefully retrieved evidence and returned to the safehouse, at which point our protector offed a reported and ran off with the evidence. Tracked him to a rooftop and fought him for the evidence. He still managed to escape.... well, half of him did.
Made a call to save the survivors but was attacked by a zombified TK. Apparently having zombrex on hand wasn't enough to actually be able to save him. Go figure.
Got a generally good ending. Evidence given, Chuck's name cleared and given hero status, survivors rescued, Katy safe, but Chuck missing.
Final tally includes 5,699 kills, 20 survivors, and a total of 3,322,822PP, which I think is respectable. "0 gifts for Katy"?. Was never aware that was even a minigame.
Very very fun game but I ended up being 'over it' long before I finished it. Still, one more game off my 'to-play' list.

Kid Icarus [NES]
Currently at world 3. I have 5 bars of energy, 3 strength arrows, and all 3 weapon upgrades. Plus, there is a hot springs room (refills your energy) right at the beginning of 3-1. The weird thing about playing Kid Icarus is that the game actually gets easier the farther you get. Once Pit has upgraded his weapons and found a few strength arrows, he's pretty much unstoppable.
Except for for dungeon levels...getting turned into an eggplant by the Eggplant Wizard is just frustrating!

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance:
I fear I have made an awful mistake.
The normal world turned into Ivalice...some brightly-colored, backstab-free Ivalice. Why? Because one kid wanted it to be like Final Fantasy. He said so himself. Ugh.
Joined Clan NutsyNo chance in hell am I using that name. Renamed it Clan Centurio, from XII, also run by Montblanc, and also a significantly better name.

Re: Game Progress Thread
I just finished Assassin's Creed 2 and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.
I'm way behind on my gaming so I have a lot of catch up to do.
AC2 was amazing and I'm looking forward to picking up Brotherhood this week, but Prince of Persia left me wanting more.
I think what dissapoints me was the simplified combat system. The acrobatics and other cool combos that made the fights amazing, were removed in favor of the elemental attacks which really aren't needed to progress in the game. It was also fairly short. Wasn't this game supposed to bridge Sands of Time and Warrior Within? All it did was make more plot holes. I was actually expecting the Dahaka to start chasing him by the end of the game.

Thing is, they were supposed to do a sequel to the 2008 game, which had sort of a cliffhanger ending. But then the movie was coming out, so they made Forgotten Sands; an attempt at cashing in on the movie disguised as an attempt to revisit the Sands of Time trilogy. Half movie tie-in, half legit sequel. I haven't played it, but I can't imagine it went very well. The movie was okay, though.
Meanwhile, Prince of Persia: The Lost Subtitle got DLC to give it a new ending. Unfortunately, it turns it from a cliffhanger to a total downer ending.

Re: Game Progress Thread
That news dissapoints me. I can see now how it was most likely developed to be a sequel. The elemental combat and whatnot didn't fit in with the Prince's normal style. It was like the game was created with someone else in mind.
The movie was actually a really good interpretation of the games, but I would be afraid if they tried to make Warrior Within because of all the elements used from the entire trilogy. It was good overall.
I'm not trying to bash Forgotten sands as it was fun, but it felt out of place with the original trilogy. It would have been amazing if they had explained something like because the Prince defied fate twice, the dahaka needed to set things right in the time stream, but they left it so you have no idea where the Dahaka came from.
If they left it as it's own story, it would have been better.
What is Prince of Persia: The Lost Substitute?

Don't worry about it, mate. He was referring to the recent Prince of Persia game that was just called "Prince of Persia," without any additional subtitles.

With Dead rising 2 out of the way, trying to move onto my other current games.
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Managed to clear the forest world and beat the temple level (after only using 87 lives in the process). Still missed a puzzle piece so need to go back.
Currently on the cliffs world just checking out the terrain.
Portal
Re-installed on a whim, played, re-completed. Much fun was had.
Borderlands
Been putting this one off for ages. Game never appealed to me but still picked it up ages ago. Picked up my last savegame. TOok down a bandit leader to recover a piece for the catch-a-ride station, then took the vehicle to jump a gulley and open a gate. Currently going through the arid badlands searching for an archeologist's journals

Champions Online [PC]:
I'm having a lot of fun making characters. Since there are only 2 character slots available unless you buy more with real-life money, that means I can only have 1 character to play as since the other slot is used to making new ones.
So far, I've made a Samus, Duke Nukem, Kyle Katarn, Helix from that crap G.I. Joe game and comic tie-in, a bad Link knock-off, Gambit from the X-Men, and Season 1-2 Bob with Season 3-4 Matrix and AndrAIa from ReBoot. Here are some screenshots for ya.
I'm making more, too. I'm seriously gonna have to buy me some extra character slots.

Damn shame is what it is. Tannis didn't work her way through genius school, declare herself the smartest person in the universe, go partially insane, go fully insane, go partially sane, figure out when and how to open the Vault, go insane again, and kill a bandit who may or may not have been named Leslie just to be "an archaeologist."
Also, she's the reason you're even on Pandora.

Nah. She mentions it offhand in another echo recording, that she's thinking of sending a message about the Vault offworld. It's not a spoiler, it's trivia. I didn't even catch it the first time.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:
Doing the Daedric Prince quests. Did jobs for nine of the fifteen Princes. There's sixteen Princes, though, but that last one is Mehrunes Dagon, the main antagonist of the game. So he can screw off if he thinks I'm doing jobs for him...freaking Goro wannabe.
EDIT: Or seventeen, depending on how you count Jyggalag or not. He doesn't have a quest, though. He's a prick.

Re: Game Progress Thread
I started AC Brotherhood. So far, it's a flawless transition from AC2. I just started sequence 2 and it's pretty good.
I was bummed out that you lose Altair's armour at the beginning. It took me forever to get it in 2 and you lose it on seconds in Brotherhood.
The perfect synchronization events are an interesting mechanic. I like them, but I get the feeling that they are going to get progressively harder.
Overall, I'm quite happy with the game. I was even fortunate enough to pick up the collectors edition. I like the Jack on the box.
Does anyone know if there are other Jack in the boxes besides the Harle Quin?

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:
Ugh, my saves all got corrupted and I had to start from scratch. Oh well. Hunted down all of the Daedric Shrines, though I only did quests for Azura and Sheogorath so far. Did the Arena, I'm going to level up a bit more, then do Nocturnal's quest for the Skeleton Key, an unbreakable, infinite-use lock pick. It'll make the Thieves Guild easier.

Champions Online [PC]:
Cleared the tutorial section, got to the city, got a new skill and unlocked the quick travel ability. Since I'm using the Samus character I made, I chose the acrobatics skill, which I think suit her nicely. Pun intended.

You think maybe there's a little detail you missed? Like something that should be near or on her right arm? Perhaps a green something, that shoots beams or missiles out of it? Like some kind of arm that is also a gun?
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:
So, I wanted to get into the Dark brotherhood because I dig their swank outfits, which really complement my major attributes. (Not a double entendre, it really doesn't show off the female form very well) First, I have to murder someone who would attack on site, though I also wanted someone who is a "non-essential NPC." So took that stupid elf thing that follows you around after you complete the Arena out into the wilderness, and put a few arrows in his head. To be fair, if I hadn't killed him, those trolls that I didn't anticipate would be there and chase us around would have.
Got the swank outfit, did Nocturnal's Quests, her her totally awesome lock pick, now I'm probably going to do the Thieves Guild.

Couldn't get that to look good since the hand remains there. So she'd have an arm cannon with a hand sticking out of it. Besides, the energy attack animations have her cast magic missiles out of her palms, Iron Man-style. But, I also tried making her a Soldier class and coloured her weapons green.
