Okay, catching up time.

Borderlands
Hit the arena and survived the 1st 2 rounds. the Baddass fire skagg says I should level up before tackling round 3.
Ran some side missions including powering up turbines and taking out a Rakk flock. Tracked down the parts to a nifty sniper rifle, then went after a missing mine key. It wasn't where it was supposed to be, so ran into a bandit nest, took out a roid rage psycho, and collected said mine key. Game wasn't kind enough to give me and easy exit so had to fight my way back out. :BANG_HEAD:
I honestly don't know why, but I see pre-disposed to hating this game, yet I keep playing it. Very confusing. :-?

Donkey Kong Country Returns
Cleared up through world 6 with all puzzle pieces, with the exception of the world 6 temple. Will return to that one later. And the latest boss, Thugly, deserves to rot forever.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

Yeah, being level 18 or so is optimal for the first Arena missions.

Also, who are you playing as?

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:
Partway through the Dark Brotherhood. Had to kill all my friends because there was apparently an "imputiry" in the ranks and they figured it was best for me (Seeing as I was deemed innocent of betrayal due to the time I joined the Brotherhood) to just kill them all.

Now let's just clear one thing here: The Dark Brotherhood, which you could call the Assassins Guild and only be blamed for semantics, is full of the friendliest, warmest NPCs in the game. I'm surprised none of them offered me a back rub. Killing them didn't feel good. Even the member who sells us our equipment, who was a total prick, even warmed up to me, apologizing for being a prick, and decided we should be friends.

Up yours, Oblivion!

Now I'm taking missions via dead drops hidden in discreet locations. the last guy was some dude proficient in hand-to-hand. Although, as I looted his house, I noticed that, in a fake keg, there was some equipment from the Dark Brotherhood...

(And before anyone says anything, I already played through this before my saves got corrupted, so I already know how it ends. I just thought that last sentence made for a great cliffhanger/stinger)

Yeah, that's how I deal with Crawmerax.

Pokemon Platinum:
You know what I hate? Bad information lulling me into a false sense of security, only for the truth to come like a goddamn freight train made of despair. Case in point: A guide I've been using for this game (Which I should have been clued into it not being all that accurate anyway) said that the Elite Four would all get a great big level up after getting the National Pokedex. it turns out, this level up occurred after Stark Mountain. And I wasn't warned. And I went to the League, hoping to get some extra money because I'm furnishing that villa I got from what sounds suspiciously like Steven from Ruby/Sapphire. And then they got that level up. I'm going to go until I get my ass kicked in, which I'm assuming will be from Cynthia and her massive hotness.

As I'm barely on my way to battle Sledge (consider that my game progress update), I'll assume thatyour statement has some relevance I have yet to find the reference to. :-B

You really can't chart progress in a game like this, so my updates will be limited to worthwhile project completions, such as this.

Gaze upon the face of fury and death. Crawmerax the Invincible, who's name isn't just meant to be scary, his only damageable pieces are his well-hidden critical spots. Also almost all of his attacks will either one-shot a maxed-out character, or at the very least reduce you to near-zero health. he also gives out totally bitchin' loot. He is, in every sense of the word, a superboss. He's only in DLC3, though.

Now gaze upon the face of hope and love. Bessie, brought to you by the good people at Jakobs. ("If it took more than one shot, you weren't using a Jakobs!") That shill not only made me $20, it's also true in Bessie's case. Pearlescent, rarest of the rare, I didn't even find her, she was given to me by a friend of mine. She is as deadly to Crawmerax as Crawmerax is to you. Again, she's only in DLC3. And yes, I want to have sex with this gun.

And before you claim this is a spoiler, remember, in Borderlands, there are no spoilers. Merely warnings...

Pokemon Platinum:
I was right. Cynthia treated me to a freshly-opened can of whoop-ass. Again. It was really close, though.

I guess I';m in luck then. Have none of the DLC and no interest, so Cramerax isn't an issue. Killed Sledge, BTW.

In Borderlands(on PSN) I just got my main character(Hunter) to lvl 27. Just defeated One-eye Jack and am on my way to assaulting Krom.
On my Berserker I just found this shotgun called "Terrible Carnage" that defies the laws of Shotguns! All summed up in the boxed text"Holy Crap! It shoots rockets!"

In Pokemon Diamond I've got the Legendary Johto Trio "All Shiny" (the gamestop exclusives) and have got my 24th pokemon to lvl 100!(that being a Feraligator)

I finally got a toon to lvl 80 in WoW after playing off and on for the past two years.

I finally beat both Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age:Origins.

And I've just reached Paupers Drop in Bioshock 2.

The thing about rocket shotguns is that they're really underpowered compared to regular shotguns. Sure, they're rare and they look impressive, and they're the combination of a shotgun and a rocket launcher, but they tend to have the worst stats of both sides. You should really ditch it as soon as you get a real rocket launcher.

Pokemon Platinum:
Doing some team building. Like Heatran, which currently holds the record for "Quickest i've ever caught a legendary Pokemon without using a Master Ball." Whittled him down to low HP, one successful round of Hypnosis, and ONE Ultra Ball. He has a catch rate comparable to any other legendary, it should have taken me dozens more. I'm not complaining.

This, very this. And once the novelty of the Metroid reference of "Wave" weapons wear off, you'll want to get rid of those, too.

Monday Night Combat:
I know I looked extremely badass out there, 1337W422102, getting bot kills in the hundreds, ranking at the top of all those matches, getting team switched to a team that was one good grenade away from losing and then immediately leading that team to victory, and winning what, three matches in a row? I have no idea how that happened, I'm not usually that awesome. Maybe I just ate some good churros.

EDIT: No, wait, it was 3-1, I forgot about that loss. Barely even scratched my enemy's moneyball on that one...

There are "Cannon fodder" Assassins, the ones who haven't yet accepted that the Assassin isn't made for fighting live opponents, attempt to do so, then end up putting kill-money in someone's pocket. Then there's the good Assassins, the ones who target bots rather than humans, who realize that you should only attack humans if you catch them unaware, and who can kill a turret with a smoke bomb and a sword.

I'm the latter.

A few tips for Assassins who may be reading:

-If you jump after setting off a smoke bomb, you can totally jump hella high. But the smoke bomb has another use: It can temporarily disable bots and turrets, so you can run up and attack the, and probably survive. (Might not work on higher-level turrets)

-Addendum: Your shuriken launcher can fire shurikens faster than a Support's Heal/Hurt can repair his fire base. Thus, being just outside a fire base's kill range and firing like mad is a good way to get those pesky fire bases off the field. It works with all turrets, too.

-Addendum 2: Pick and choose which turrets to kill. I recommend prioritizing Long Shot turrets, they're the most dangerous since they can hit nearly the other side of the map, but they also have the least health.

-Upgrade the Assassins passive perk to maximum first; a sword and no fall damage makes all the difference.

-You have the lowest health pool of all the Pros. Attempting to be Gray Fox (Though technically Mr. X from MGS2 is a more appropriate comparison) and cutting up an army with just a katana and a cloaking device is freaking suicide. Avoid human players in groups of two or more.

-Addendum: Get a custom class, make it an Assassin, and give it Gold-level Armor. This isn't advice, this is a rule. That Gold Armor endorsement is the barrier between life and death. You'll be able to survive most front-side grapples with it. Force Silver and Bronze level, I'd recommend rate-of-fire and skill recharge.

-Bots are your bread and butter. The only classes better at killing bots are Tanks and Gunners, and they're more preoccupied with enemy Pros. You're also one of only two classes that can grapple Jack Bots.

-Addendum: Hitting the reload button with your kunai/katana makes you dash forward and perform a very powerful strike. Great way to break the ice, and by ice, I mean enemy bots.

-Buy some turrets. This is actually really good advice for all Pros, actually. Buying a turret is both a great way to defend your base, and to make some quick cash. it's not a purchase, it's an investment.

-This one is also advice for all Pros, but taunting after a kill gets you another $50.

-If you have juice, remember you have a really short life expectancy. Don't be stingy. Better to use it to absolutely shatter an enemy's defense than to die and wish you had.

-You may, at one point, wonder how enemies always seem to know where you are.It turns out, at close range, you are very visible. And noisy. And when you sprint while cloaked, you kick up a big cloud of dust.

-Always keep some money saved for the Annihilator. Because you're the fastest class, you can get there first. Likewise, always be sure to keep an eye on the Ejectors, and set them off if there's a big crowd of bots, or enemies, or it looks like you could get a ring-out with it.

-When the enemy moneyball is down, a timer starts, and when it runs out, the shields go back up. All it takes is ONE shuriken to restart that timer. Wink wink, nudge nudge.

-One more piece of advice, for all classes: Only bots can take the moneyball's shields down. Not everyone realizes this, and they waste time and effort trying to bring the shields down themselves.

Here's a wiki page for more tips and info.

Still faffing about int he factory level, but loving it. Got all puzzle pieces up through world 6.

Border lands
Cleared the 2nd area, who's name I forget, by defeating a group of raiders, restarting old equipment, finding an elemental artifact, Took out a raider named Mad Mel and was granted access to New Haven. Restarted the generators and ran some bounty missions. Also took down a giant rakk named Mothrakk. Fun.

Borderlands: Got my Hunter to lvl 35, Just killed Baron Flynt and the Crimson lance guy with the eridian weapon, just got the Echonet back online.

My berserker just found a better Rocket launching shotgun than the one he had.

And don't get me wrong guys I knew as soon as I got the first one that they were crap stats wise, they have the accuracy of the shotgun the range of the rocket and the damage of neither. But I'm using the one I got cause it's Explosive element type and my berserkers a "Blaster" Plus I've got a normal rocket launcher that I use as well.

As for the Wave weapons, I was over them a few shots after using T.K.'s Wave...
piece of crap

I just got my Soldier and Berserker into the Dahl Headlands. And my Siren is sitting pretty at lvl 17 still.

Yeah, that new Burnout game's pretty damn fun.

Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project [PC]:
Come get some. Reached the third level of Episode 3, found every Nuke so far. Playing on Normal difficulty with my save file from my last playthrough present in the saved games folder (found the save file on an old hard drive from high school or college). I had found every Nuke in the game on Easy, so I have the damage bonus to the Mighty Boot available to me, which makes a big difference playing on a harder difficulty.

It really is.

Borderlands
Running side missions in New Haven. Collected some missing parts for Scooter and unclogged some drain pipes.Then ran some bounty missions. Collected a set of corrosive crystals and then took down the infamous King Wee Wee. =;
Just collected 5 parts of a missing SMG weapon before running out of time for the night.

I'm blown away by just how amazing it looks. The models of the cars are fantastic. Smooth gameplay, audio's great, it's just so much fun. I'm really glad they finally decided to drop their whole "put rims on Civics" generation. I'll admit that the Undergrounds are one of my guilty pleasures and I actually bought and enjoy Undercover (hey, it was only $8.77), but it feels real good to have Need For Speed back to its roots. And all it took was for EA to NOT make it!

Also, that Crystal Cave is so much fun. Good variety of enemy types, too. My friend and I always try to see how many enemies we can piss off at once. If you go to the weapons chest near the save point near the bandits' area, you can anger the bandits, the skags, and the worms and once -- and get royally buttmessed if you're not ready for it!

I laughed my ass off when I first saw King Wee Wee. I was expecting someone...taller to say the least. The name should have given it away, though. I should have seen it coming and I'm so glad I didn't.

Felt pretty much the same. The name just didn't click until I saw the 'boss' who was only half my size.

Borderlands
Finished the New Haven and rust commons quests. Decided to go see the aforementioned archeologist who's name I can't seem to ever remember. She said I should go see a man in a scrapyard about a thing. Went to said scrapyard to find the guy a recluse who refused to leave his house until I ran some errands. These errands included killing a set number of bandits and Antspider thingies, followed by setting off some stolen explosives in the bandits headquarters. WHEE!

Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project [PC]:
In the third Episode, got all the Nukes from Levels 1 and 2.

GTA IV [PC]:
Took out 130 flying rats so far. Percentage complete: 40.77. I bet Hawkeye and the boys would be glad.

Vin Diesel Wheelman [PC]:
This and Just Cause are the most over-the-top it's-like-it's-really-an-action-movie experiences I have ever had in a game. Completely ridiculous and leave-your-brain-at-the-door, but holy crap is it fun. Once you get used to it and write an AutoHotKey script to change your controls, I mean.

Did the Lial mission where ol' Vin gets Filipe to talk and unlocked the Focus Meter.

Damn, I use too many hyphens.

Lunia [PC]:
Participating in the current event where I can get stats-improving items for my characters which are also kinky swimwear. Getting some for my jiggly-chested half-naked half-elf tomboy ninja chick and my elven archer who has a very familiar special move. Are you elf enough to fight with her?

Went back to world 7 and collected the remaining puzzle pieces and completed the temple level. World 8 is all that remains between me and victory.

Magicka:
Been playing this one for a while. Mostly doing single-player, though, but also I did some multiplayer.

I don't know how to describe this game, but imagine a fantasy setting that constantly makes fun of fantasy settings, also with a healthy dose of beam-spamming. You WILL team-kill, by accident. And then you're going to team-kill on purpose. Then you'll BE team-killed on purpose. Then you'll combine moves because you want to see what happens, then you're going to blow each other up by accident, then on purpose, then on purpose a few more times. Then you'll realize you haven't actually been moving forward like you're supposed to. It's $10 for crazy fun with deadly frikkin' laser beams. Also there's a $1 DLC, and they're coming out with a new (supposedly) $5 DLC taking place in Vietnam.

Currently on Chapter 5. Saved the city of Havindr, now everyone's going after the warlord Khan. Yes, they're going to make a reference to Star Trek II, they make references to everything.
