Playing on the server a buddy runs and our friends use. Because I'm a massive troll, I spent a few hours tonight making this in the highest area reachable. Problem?
Any chance I can commission a "down with pants" message in the sky?![]()
Any openings on the server? Looking for a place to build that isn't locked to my PC.
I don't think I'll be doing any skybuilding for a while. Even when crouching, I still fell to my death a bunch of times and lost a lot of stuff, including a diamond freakin' pickaxe. All of my rage. I want to build a blimp, but I'll probably do that over water to avoid all the deaths.
Sorry, bud, but the server's just for friends of ours from the Montreal area, people we hang out with in real life. No hard feelings?

While excavating to build the Citadel from Half-Life 2, we found a cave with an underground waterfall and decided to explore. I found this and learned that yes, you can rocket jump:

Now all I can do wait to get the money, and in the mean time, draw up plans to build the Geofront from Evangelion. Also Ganondorf's tower from Ocarina of Time. And some kind of floating palace.

If and when you get your Xbox live account and you can actually play the game, do you get tutorials on character classes or does it expect you to know each class from the inside out and go and play the game? I bought the Orange Box today and wanted to play TF2, but I don't have an Xbox live membership and had to play Portal instead (Not that Portal is bad, but I just wanted to play TF2).

Oh, Man, I am so, so sorry. TF2 on the 360 is the barest of bones. Any updates you see on the TF2 blog have not and will not occur on the 360. You bought the wrong version. Yes, you need Live membership, TF2 is multiplayer only. No, Tutorials are not on the 360, like everything else, that's PC only.
Here is a list of the differences between the PC and Console versions. They say they'll release the content updates for a fee, but at this point, they're probably better off just selling it to you as Team Fortress 3. There's literally three times as much content in PC version than there is on the 360 port. You only get six maps and three game modes on the 360 version, for instance. The PC version, has 46 official maps and eight game modes. And 76 unlockable weapons. And 160 cosmetic items. And trading and crafting systems. And the Mann Co. Store. And all manner of things.
What I'd do, if you just bought it, is go back, trade it in, then go home, get a Steam account (Which is free) and buy the Orange Box on the PC.
Badass Grimlock wrote:Problem is, I have an archaic old Late 2006 Mac Mini that has a crappy video card. I got TF2 for the 360 because TF2 for my Mac would probably be slow and poopy. And my dad can't get Steam to run on his new 27" iMac. So I guess that if I can't play Xbox TF2, I can't play it at all.

I know of it, but I've never tried it, unfortunately.

Well, now's your chance. Supaplex has been declared freeware a couple years back, making it perfectly legal to download the full version.
