Man, this some old bull sh!t. I'm on the final mission, on the final run to the final boss, and there is just no hope for me. I lost at least 3 times each time there was a new enemy encounter (literally lost my entire party) and that has been an uncountable amount of times too. There is no hope for me. I'm done, I'm just done. Next game I get will be Dragon Age 2. I hear it's much easier.

Aw, can't fight the scary monsters? Then get stronger. Real men don't run, so are you a real man, or are you a sissy little girl who like wearing pink frilly dresses and having tea time with her stuffed animals of unicorns and teddy bears?

Technically, (and by law) I am not a real man. I am a boy; a child. So, I quit. I do like tea though...and crumpets.

Oh, you're not even a boy. Because boys don't run away either, they just get mad and fight harder. So have fun, wearing your dresses and reading your Twilight novels.

I did fight harder. And I still lost.

Soldier: "They're putting up a good fight!"
Megatron: "Then put up a better fight!"

Normally I don't agree with Megatron, but in this case he's got the right idea. If fighting harder doesn't work, then fight even harder than that.

Shadow, give the kid a link to the Day Care thread and be done with it. Hey, have you tried that new Monday Night Combat content? I watched the trailer, and my thoughts were pretty much, "what is this; I don't even--"

Portal 2 [PC]:
Got it as a birthday gift from a friend of mine. You can read what I think about it here! Screenshots are there, too. Story wise, I've mainly been doing co-op with a friend, which luckily is its own campaign so as not to dumb Chell's story down with a tacked-on AI partner. Singleplayer-wise, I'm in the incinerator, watching my step.

Also, Chell got herself nice and unfy this time around.

Mass Effect [PC]:
Another birthday gift from another friend. I made a post about what I thought of it here (well, my day-one reactions, anyway). Also, screenshots.

Busy running around the Citadel, doing odd jobs. Too early for the story to get good or the characters to develop. Looking forward to seeing if it lives up to the hype.

Global Agenda: Free Agent [PC]:
It's free-to-play now, so the "demo" on Steam is actually the full game's client. It's pretty badass and I'm real glad that it plays like a 3rd-person shooter instead of a fantasy MMO. Currently running around in the desert and dying often.

Made a character called "AgentKatarn" with a beard and brown hair. Gotta find him a suitable shoulder pad.

Actually, yes, and I was waiting for someone to post something so I could talk about it. I was hoping it was going to be Sly because then I could say like "Well, I guess in that case you're just a Chicken!

Monday Night Combat:
Speaking of Chicken!"

And then I'd get into what I thought about the new content update. But I can work with this too.

The update contains two major additions, plus a few odds and ends:

-The first is Uncle Tully's Funland. It has a distinct Amusement Park theme to it, with buildings designed to look like castles and whatnot. It's also very constricted, so you'll be getting into a lot of close-quarters combat. one of it's major gimmicks is that there's buttons for you to spawn nearly every type of bot. Spawn buttons for Jackbot, Black Jacks and Slimbots are right outside the spawn, while buttons for Gremlins, Gapshots, Scarmblers and Bouncers are off to the side. (And no longer class-specific) Another fun addition is that the center of the arena, containing the Annihilator and Juice Dispensers is a big bounce pit. It's really tricky getting to them, but not in a bad way. It also contains...

-Chickey Cantor! It's a gigantic chicken that will spawn in one of two circular arenas off to the sides of Uncle Tully's Funland. He's signaled with his own personal theme ("Chikeeeeeeeey...Chickey Cantoooooooooor") And a unique line from Mickey Cantor. Killing Chickey (No easy task!) nets your entire team a huge buff to all their stats until they die. The quickest way to kill him is, like with everything else, a grapple move. The only way to grapple him is after he performs an area-of-effect ground-pound...which will more than likely kill you. He also has a peck attack. The trick is to let some poor schmuck go into the area, then watch from a safe distance until Chickey does his ground-pound, then hurry in and grapple him. This will take out half his health, and net you a tidy sum of cash.

tl;dr version: New Arena is cool, Chickey Cantor is cool, Assassin giggling as she bounces in the bounce pit or rides around on Chickey Cantor is suspiciously adorable.

Uh-huh-hunf.

Borderlands [PC]:
Doing the "find teh parts to build a gun lol" that opens up right when you're on your way to drop the Baron.
It's been a while since I've been in the Borderlands. Got the piece for Tannis and was treated to some of her banter. Her her talk about cookies. Good ol' Delicious Pattie.
Looking forward to trying out the DLC when I get there, but I still haven't finished a playthrough on my main single-player character.

I don't play Assassin because I like being sneaky. I play assassin because I like hot chicks. 8)

Another thing I forgot to mention, many of Mickey Cantor's lines show that he really loves Chickey Cantor in a shockingly genuine and non-perverted way. It's actually a bit heartwarming...Nope, sorry, that's the Tank setting me on fire again. Close, though, really close.

Dat Assassin, bud. Dat Assassin. I'm not familiar with Mickey Cantor, so the referential humour value of the chicken will be lost on me, unfortunately. Not that a giant helmeted battle-chicken isn't funny on its own, mind you!

Mickey Cantor is the announcer. He's also much funnier than the Administrator from TF2, but then she was never meant to be funny.

His name also seems to be a reference to a US Secretary of Commerce. I guess I thought the chicken was some kind of political joke I wouldn't get. My bad!

Met up with the good doctor and Kathryn, was sent on a mission through the sewers. Found the deadlock upgrade. Fell into a tick hive and fled. Nearly got eaten by a giant.... thing! Woke up to find the doctor ahead of me. Kept on my path, repaired a crane to ride slowly across a gap while a lot of Russian soldiers shot at me. Made it through. Worked my way down into some more underground areas and met the REavers for the first time. They're not nice people.

Nope...the Chicken is a reference to a fan named Griffin who apparently raised chickens, and asked the MNC devs what he should name one. They went with Chickey Cantor. Incidentally, one of Mickey's lines mentions that the Chickey you fight in game was a reconstruction of the original built by Griffin Robotics.

Hey, that's pretty cool of them. Reminds me of the Borderlands video Gearbox made for a fan so that hey could propose to his girlfriend.

What, just the one dragon? I consider it a slow day if I kill less than five. And that doesn't include Gods and other deities and/or deity-equivalent lifeforms.

Devil May Cry:
BEATEN! Which means I've beaten the entire series! And if Ninja Theory pays me a ton of money and gives me a free copy, I might think about playing their half-assed reboot.

Capcom, if you knew everyone was going to hate the new Dante design, why would you approve it? You're shooting down good Mega Man titles left and right, you're letting average-to-mediocre developers get their dirty hands on Devil May Cry and Resident Evil and Bionic Commando, and now you and Namco are both developing the exact same game with different gameplay. Seriously, Capcom, what the hell?

Technically it was an Arch demon plus an army of undead demons so, yeah. Plus I killed another dragon that day in a different play through though.

Please, I kill undead and demonic armies as a warm-up for fighting Gods. The Gods go down pretty easily too. I say "Where is your God now? Oh right, he's dead 'cause I killed him!"

Please, I kill undead and demonic armies as a warm-up for fighting Gods. The Gods go down pretty easily too. I say "Where is your God now? Oh right, he's dead 'cause I killed him!"

They'd better believe it. 8)

From the tunnels, managed to make it to a powerstation and board a train with Kathryn to freedom... Freedom meaning oblivion at the hands of giant time-warped bug. I managed to kill it and move forward. Next mission, to rediscover an E99 WMD. Using my time powers, raised an entire freighter from the dead and found the bomb just as it started sinking again. Unfortunately, the Russian soldiers were nearing my position. Kathryn provided a diversion and I heroically... lost consciousness. :BANG_HEAD:
Woke up in the hands of the good doctor, who told me Kathryn was gone and that the bomb was dead. Luckily I can recharge it... in the past... in enemy territory. Well, onward ho!

Still working on the same project, but nearing completion. The real testament is how much material I've had to move to build this thing. For reference, the stone walkway is at ground level. Everything that used to be below is now part of the wall structure.

Global Agenda: Free Agent [PC]:
Surprisingly fun. It's like Tribes with RPG elements. Made 4 characters, one of each class, learning the ropes of each class and having fun, despite the difficulty.

Also having fun customizing my character's appearance. I kept my Robotics class' default armour and coloured it green and brown (with in the lighting, looks gold). Because of the shoulder pads, gloves, and short sleeves, her suit looks like one of the Thunder Crash team's from the first Unreal Tournament. I got her another suit, but it looks more UT3 than UT1, so I'mma keep it oldschool right now.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that, now that it's free-to-play the "demo" on Steam IS the full client. I don't think the previous "trial" system (play until Level 15) even exists any more, since it's a free game now.

I just finished the mother of all fights with just one companion, and I am still shaking. I died like 3 times and I got pissed off!!! I forgot to add more companions with me, and went off into this big mission alone. Now, with a team it would seem easy, but I was all alone with one other. I am still scared right now, still scared. But I did it. :KREMZEEK: I thought I would have to restart the entire game!
I Am.
